20% off Purchases above £20 on eBay (~ $40AUD), Capped to £50 off (~ $98AUD)

CTWENTY

Hi all,

Thought I would pass this on from and it is expiring at Midnight UK Time:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/20-off-ebay-using-promo-c…

I just tried it on a LG G4 and it brought the price down to AU $601.03 delivered (if people need a deal):
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-G4-H815-32GB-4G-LTE-Factor…

Easiest way I found was to search for the item on ebay.com.au then when you're on the item page, change the address to ebay.co.uk and follow on with that.

edit: turns out you can use it from the ebay.com.au site as well, thanks st33p!
Discount capped to around $98AUD in that case, based on a poor conversion rate.

Feel free to post any good deals if you find any as I don't have much time to search at the moment.

The limit as per link above is "Maximum discount of £50 (£250 spend)" and also limited to one transaction.

Thanks all!

13mp vs 8mp back camera, 5mp vs 2mp front camera, 3000mah vs 2500mah battery, dualcore vs quadcore cpu — these are off the top of my head

        • @bargainerftw: Thanks

        • resolution is only 720p on 5"

        • Moderate user, don't care much about screen: ze550ml
Moderate user, wants hd screen: ze551ml (2gb version)
Cares about heavy performance, hd screen: ze551ml (4gb version)

Best in terms of value for money is the 2nd one I think. Not much diff between 2gb or 4gb if you're an "everyday moderate user".

        • @clse945111:

I think the resolution is only 720p on the 5.5" ZE550 as well (which is the cheap one everyone is talking about in this thread)

  • Anyone know if these codes can be used more than once? i.e. if I have two things I want to buy, both >20 pounds

    • Once only. Tried and Paypal didn't allow the second payment.

    • add them to cart then checkout. as long as they're in the same currency

  • Thanks OP,

Purchased A Dell U2412M monitor for $367.20 ($91.80 Off) from the Dell store.
Hopefully I will get the $50 Voucher on July.

    • Bought U2412 from dell in 2011 (30% off) which was $279 from my not good memory.

      • They were $249 in June last year, but we're not really helping here :)
        Nevertheless, a good monitor…

        • Yeap! I bought 1 around that time too, but it hasn't gone down since then (there was the 2 for approx ~$500 that I regret not jumping on).

I needed the exact monitor now; so this coupon helped me heaps!.

There were other sellers that were selling for cheaper but I felt more confidant in dealing with Dell when it comes to returns etc.

          Thanks though :P

  • I just order a pair of boot for $50 ish.

  • Does this work on items that you bid on? Not just buy now?

    • only if the item you're bidding on is ending tonight..

      • Great. Thanks mate

  • Does anyone know if i can use a voucher code on a "make an offer" item.

Also, if i make an offer and they accept, do i have to buy then? I would only buy at the price even after the offer if the voucher could be used and hadn't expired.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    • You may use the voucher, as long as the actual payment is made before it is expired.

So they would have to accept the offer within this time.

As for when they accept your offer, I think you are obligated to then buy it. (I'm going on memory and am not 100% sure, someone please tell) But if they have not accepted it, and the voucher is about to run out; you can retract your offer.

      eBay FAQ :
Can buyers retract their Best Offer?
      Yes.

So just make sure you know exactly when this is ending.

  • will this work on auctions also or only buy it now?

    • +1

Works on anything. Just as long as you make the payment before the voucher expires. So basically the auction would have to end quite soon.

Well, that's how previous codes like this have worked.

  • Hey OP do purchases above $200 AUD still give you $50 voucher ?

    • Unsure about this. I do remember people saying on the other deal that it can't be used with other promotions or something? Maybe someone can shed some light on this.

  • ahhhhhh temptation but dont really need anything?!??! Any good deals for 1TB SSD??

CHANGHONG 40" (101CM) Full HD LED TV LED40D1000 from DSE $294 pickup pretty damn good price for an inexpensive but half decent TV.

    Confirmed:

    • Works with multiple items in cart.
    • Won't work more than once with same Paypal account.
    • Created a new ebay account and paypal account (with separate email address) and linked same credit card: works
    • Did you have to confirm your card? Paypal states it will take a day or two to charge, then refund a small amount to verify.

      • +2

Nope I just added the credit card to the new paypal account, then went to eBay, applied the code, checked out using paypal with payment method being that credit card. No issues except you have to select "Paypal" otherwise code won't process

    • Ehh I'm not game enough to create a new paypal account they could ban you for it.

  • Allright , this might sound selfish .

    What should I go with ? LG g3 32gb $368, xperia z2 $416, zenfone 2 $212 or moto g 2nd gen $160
I heard if you go with sony xperia z2 after purchase , you have no regret even though it's expensive
LG g3 sound like a good deal

    • +1

LG g3 with $50- ebay voucher via Kogan

      • Still not sure about $50 yet

      • not guaranteed. this code may make you ineligible for the 50

        • under item 16 of the T&C for the $50 voucher (ie don't use any other voucher in the purchase)

      • sound good.

Xperia z2 is 2 generation behind and the price might fell quickly after z4 out.
        good suggestion

Also MSY had it for 399, xperia z2

  • Okay just bought the zenfone 2 but $265 was taken out of my PayPal and it says it was paid with a $53 voucher. Did something go wrong as the $53 was not discounted?

    • +1

Don't worry you would have only paid $212, it's been like that for eBay-funded discount codes

      • Okay I hope so never actually used a discount code on eBay. Hope you're right . Thanks

    • I dont have good impression with those MTK chips, same rate but lower speed and worse efficiency than other brands' chip with the same rate.

      • I agree, the GPS always have issues (weak signal) and the cameras are crappy. Better off with an LG G2 I think.

    • Hi, is it a good one? Can you suggest me other Lenovo phones? Thanks.

    • Hmm this or the Zenfone 2

  • How about security camera for shop? Probably just need 4 cams

Any idea what's a good one to buy? Looking at Swann from Kogan, but not sure which to buy..

    Cheers!

    • +1

      hikvision all the way.

      • any link please?

        • Sorry mate can't recommend any sellers as I bought elsewhere but Hikvision make great gear. Infinitely better than a similarly priced Swann system. Some DS-2CD2332-I cameras and a DS-7608NI-E2 NVR would make a top system.

    • Depends how much you're willing to spend and if you quality to actually see clear faces instead of dodgy grainy crap.
See http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2386124 and the threads before it.

      • preferably less than $600 for 4 with HD with remote access functionality..

        Shia is always the answer

    • I swear every month or every 2 months, there's a sale on new flagship phones, though mostly the LG G3. Its been going down from ~$420 to $400 to $390 and every time, I suffered from this first world problem. I wish the phone was a little smaller, or my hands were a little bigger =\ I might be going crazy. Nike and Shia might be right though

  • Thanks op :-)

    • Bought from one of the retailers on the list. Will know soon. Fingers crossed.

  • Hmm, a few items in my cart that I've been 'watching' have mysteriously jumped in price from $517 to$570,…almost the same amount as the discount

        • Oh all good then!
