    Looked at specs for the bluetooth hphones. Old tech, not neodynium magnets, and top response of 20khz. Put me off. Along with Sonys website is faulty everywhere.

        20kHz is about the absolute highest frequency that any human can hear. Even then, once you become older(starting roughly at the end of your teens), you can no longer hear those higher frequencies. By the time most people are middle-aged the highest frequency you can hear woul have dropped down to 18/19kHz or even lower.
        You have to be a bat, cat or dog to hear those frequencies (think of those "silent" dog whistles some people use).
        Anyone who disses headphones because of their 20kHz response doesn't have a clue what they're talking about, because they'd be fairly unlikely to be able to hear it anyway

          I hear to nearly 21khz and I'm not young, but for audiophiles knowing that our bones feel the frequencies above our audible perception, this can be important. Many headphones produce 22 or 24khz.

      Guess someone is a little butt hurt since they couldn't secure one - making excuses in an attempt to convince themselves they don't want it anymore. Reality is that these headphones are at a phenomenal price and the majority agrees with that. I'm sorry you can't get one due to whatever reason but I must call you out on your critique as incorrect. People who saw the deal yesterday and today were still able to buy a unit or so through various methods mentioned in the above comments. Read through them and see if one of them helps, as an attempt to devalue these headphones to make you feel better is meaningless and quite childish.

        Fair assumption, but really have you personally compared the difference between several, old ferite vs new neodynium headphones. New tech often gives much better quality output. That's why I didn't persue these. Fair enough.

      Yep and a lot of people from when the survey offer first came out have never gotten a $25 voucher. So for those people just doing the survey now hoping to swap with someone else when their voucher comes through may never see it actually arrive

    Are people making the BPAY payment or sitting on this to see what the response from Sony is?

    The risk as someone mentioned is that they cannot supply the stock and there is a problem reversing the BPAY payment.

    I did my order on the first day and when I chose payment by credit card, I got "invalid fingerprint". I clicked 'back' and tried to order again, got the same result so I decided to use bpay option. Just checked my online banking now and seems that I've been charged twice on my credit card (though only 1 order on my Sony account). Did this happen to anyone else?

      Other people a few pages back, yes. It's probably just an 'authorisation only' and will disappear in a few days. If not, contact them and complain (or just do a chargeback).

      Well sort of working, still gives "invalid fingerprint" when you try to buy it (android chrome & win 10 IE), but at least you can add it to cart. Will probably work for Bpay, but I don't trust them enough ;)

    Just purchased the wireless headphones then. Not expired just yet by the looks of it. I had to resort to bpay though.

    *edit.. if the amount of clicks on this deal relates to the number of sales. It's close to $700,000 in discounts. I suspect a lot of these orders will be refunded.

          Well I'm pretty sure that's excluding weekends, etc. (as BPay is only processed during business hours), so you're probably fine.

      Many hours after receiving dispatch email, Account updated from Dispatch pending to complete. So don't rely on account status.

      From order confirmation email Delivery should take place on a weekday, within seven business days of payment clearance
      Bpay can take days longer to clear than Credit Card.

          Real credit card. I just checked my account, there is nothing from sony yet (ANZ seems to really take there time to show transactions though, sometimes over a week).

          Just checked my emails, I got 2 from sony. One at 5pm on the 22nd, stating 'your sony store order has been recieved…we have recieved your order and will email you again once it has shipped'. The second at 2pm on the 25th stating '…please find attached your purchase reciept. Your sony order has been dispatched ans is on its way to you.'

          That's all the info i recieved, good luck

    my bpay payment is still 'pending', i had fully expected it to have cleared by monday night. hopefully it is through tomorrow otherwise will have to chase it up [would do so today except pubic holiday]

      I think a number of factors delay it

      it was done on a friday night + weekends

      so need to add three days from this monday..

      So I predict at least wednesday.

      This also pending for ppl who pay via debit card

      From Commonwealth Bank (other banks should be similar)
      If you make a payment on a weekend or public holiday, or after 6pm (Sydney / Melbourne time) Monday to Friday, the payment will be debited from your account instantly and processed the next business day. The biller will acknowledge the payment as having been made on the next banking business day (this does not include weekends or public holidays).

      So money should be taken from account straight away, transferred to Sony bank account sometime Monday, likely appear as "Payment Approved" by Sony sometime on Wednesday (due to public holiday).

      Then moves to dispatch phase… emails weren't sent for Credit Card orders until 2pm after payment was processed on Monday.

      So earliest emails are likely to go out is tomorrow. As there were a large number of orders, dispatch may be delayed.
