Further Info/Tips

There are two "tricks" that can be extremely beneficial as there is a common trend experienced by 7-Eleven App users: 1) If you receive an error processing your credit/debit card, you can purchase a 7-Eleven Gift Card in-store and apply the credits instantly onto the App. 2) You do not need to use the funds on your App to pay for the fuel, you can lock-in the price and pay via Cash or Card at the checkout saving the hassle of constantly topping up, gift cards, etc.

Master131 spends a lot of time creating and maintaining the script at Project Zero Three that we all know and love.

  • Loaded up nox this morning, got a message in app saying the app will be dropping support for andriod less than version 6 in coming weeks.. :/

    • +1

Launch multi drive->add emulator and install android 7.1.2

      • Cheers

      • Mines only showing install andriod 5.1.1 :/ any ideas? tried to see if any updates to Nox all up todate!

      • +1

Yeah, Im the same, version 5.1.1 only visible…

        • You'll need to update your NOX (current version is 6.2.2 which was released on the 15th of August.

  • Haven't filled up for a while. Couldn't spoof my location on my phone, so had to do it via NOK. Added credit via my phone and then locked it in price via NOK. Signed out and signed in to get the voucher to appear on my phone.

Having some issues with the app now. Using the moded version and it tells me to update in the app store, but can't even update. Can't access my voucher either.

    Uninstall then reinstall?

    • +14

I'll release a working version tomorrow if you guys want.

      • +1

yes please, because we are running out of fuel atm..lol

    • +9

The modified version is signed using a different key to the original app. The keys are checked to guarantee you're using a "real" version from the original developer. Android will not allow you to update if they keys don't match.

      PS - https://my.mixtape.moe/urpnud.apk

Little birdie tells me there's no root/mock detection. Remove any existing versions first.

      • true champ!

      • Thank you master! Looks like it's working great.

      • Nice job mate. Thanks.

  • I'm having trouble with the modified version, the app keeps trying to force me to update

  • +35

Pow pow. Here's your link to the modded APK.. I just needed to recompile it, didn't think I would get to a computer at home today. Ciao for now

    • Nice. Would you please add back the thing that bypass root check with the modded version? The last version i managed to run it on a rooted device but somehow its giving me the root device detected error. Thanks

    • Nice one. Thanks mate.

    • what does the modded APK have. Can we spook GPS? if so, which GPS app?

      • +1

        It disables mock location detection.

    • I am using the original Android as I got with the phone (MiA1). I haven't rooted it. Which version do I need to use in that case? I reckon you've posted links to two versions here.

  • Need 95 or 98 cheap. My car is thirsty :(

    • Cheapest at the moment price 141.9 @ 7/11 Wyong in Watanobbi NSW

  • I keep getting associated with 7-Eleven for some reason.

Has anyone noticed anything new with the new app? I can't see any differences..

    • New number.
      Nothing else..

    • What do you mean associated,?

      • +2

Just the little tag next to my name on here

  • Is there a way to subscribe to this thread to received notifications please? When I click on it, it only shows me two radio buttons (new comments or new replies). Can't subscribe to it like normal thread to receive all types of notifications from this thread. And yes of course I'm logged into my account! Thank you :)

    • All good, resolved. Thanks!

      • I think new comments subscribed to everything?

  • Still so less patreon for master.

  • Can't seem to lock in the price this morning, I did last night but this morning (using the latest modded app) when I click on the "lock in amount" it just takes me back to the "find my best local price" page

    • Common issue there's a 2 lock limit per 24 hours

    • try other devices with same id

  • Would it be possible to produce a trending chart of the cheapest prices per fuel type over a period of time?

Does anyone else ever get suspicious that the 7/11 pumps are inaccurate?

My car just took in 49.1L in a 50L tank, despite the dash showing 50km left until 'empty'…

    • +1

A jerry can may be a better way testing its accuracy.

      • +1

Jerry can is not accurate too as it can expand. 20 litre jerry can brough drom kmart can hold 22litres of fuel

      • -1

Yup. So if I take in a 10L can it better fill up to 10L.

Maybe 7/11 overcharge everyone 10% to fund the lock in app.

    • I think I would take the accuracy of the pump over the accuracy of your cars 'km left' calculation of tank being exactly 50 litres.

      • -3

No but I once filled up when the distance left was 0km and it clicked off at 49L then too…

        • +1

0km can vary a lot on how much petrol is left in tank. Hamish and Andy did a skit and found they could drive 120kms on the gauge showing 0kms left (albeit they were driving on a highway).

        • -5

@andyman1908: incorrect. If the car is on 0km and it fills up to 49L then obviously it won't make another 120km. Duh.

So if it's got 50km left it can't need 49L. Basic logic.

    • +3

Measuring fuel by volume is never accurate due to expansion. The accurate way is to measure by weight (or if we want to be even more technically correct, then mass).

      • +1

        Moles?

        • +2

The aviation and marine industries would like to have a word with you.

By the way, how are your eyes after shining a torch at yourself?

        • -1

          @ronnknee:

My airline would like a word with Levathian and why they are doing it wrong..

  • Fuel light just came on :(

Is 128 the best it's gonna get or is it still dropping? I can probably last the weekend… Been waiting ages!

    • +1

I doubt it's going to drop more than that over the next few days other than a random error with some fuels, but you can never really predict the start/end of cycles. If you think it will drop more, just lock it in and only fill up a bit so you can hopefully get some more cheaper later on…

      • It started rising in NSW yesterday.

    • +1

It is good to check on https://aip.com.au/pricing/terminal-gate-prices every now and again, so you know where we are at. 128 is a good buy, it may get a cent or 2 lower at the risk of jumping to 159.90. The typical competitive bottom price is approx 8c less than the tgp price (based on std unleaded price, but can be between 6c up to 10c less at a stretch).

    • +3

I bought a WW egifct card (5% off), I went to woolworths carpark, found a fuel docket, filled up at caltex ww, bought my 6litre of milk (ive got kids), worked out to be 114.8/l.

      • +1

        114.8 x 100/95 + 10 = 130.8 at bowser?
        Nice work

        • I think it is 128.8 at the pump if 114.8 was calculated correctly.

        • @Neoika: I'm getting 130.8c too

        • @Sweetnsour: Why +10 in the formula?Isn't 8 cents the max discount in Woolies servo?

        • +1

          @Neoika:

Is it 4c voucher and 4c for $5spend in store?
          If so… Should be +8

    • WA should stay cheap until Monday. They also publish the next day's prices in the afternoon. https://www.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au/fuelwatch/pages/home.jspx
