(ALDI) Clearance: Updated List of Items (Post Your Local Clearances)

In the past few months, I've noticed ALDI's clearance items increase hugely. Most of the time it is stock that has been in the store for the while but sometimes it's new stock which mysteriously appears.

So as I go to ALDI in Brunswick multiple times in the week, I'd thought I'd post an updated list of what clearance stuff they have going that looks interesting. We've had people post they've seen cheap bikes or whatever but only a couple in stock.

Spot a good clearance item? Post a comment in this thread with the item, date, location, quantity left and price.

  • Merged from Crofton Assorted Plastic Containers $0.99 (Was $1.49) @ ALDI Hornsby NSW

After my adventures buying plastic containers in NZ. I present to you the next chapter!

There seems to be quite a lot of stock in Hornsby. wrap containers, sandwich containers and snack containers. Check your local ALDI for details!

    • Tupperware is not a generic name for plastic food containers. Please edit the title.

No problem. I'll make sure to xerox the gladwrap for my esky

        • It's amazing how many people don't know that esky is a brand name.

      • I once told a Tupperware sales drone that "Teflon" is a DuPont registered trademark and they shouldn't use it to refer to their (non-DuPont) PTFE coatings.

        She was not amused.

I wish I had the wit to declare that my Chinese takeaway containers were "Tupperware"…

(edit:: Dupont no longer owns Teflon, but they did at the time)

  • Merged from Navman M105 GPS $49 @ ALDI

Found this deal at Aldi Eastgardens. Not sure if it is available at other shops.

Label was $49 down from $69, but I see it was $89 back in December.

Unpacked and checked quality. Honestly find it very good for the price. Obviously a simple GPS perfectly suitable to take you from point A to point B.

Merged from [NSW] 21.5" Full HD LED LCD TV - Medion E12203 (MD 21458) $119.00 (Was $149) ALDI Southpoint Shopping Centre Hillsdale NSW
    Go to Deal

I saw these tvs at aldi reduced from $149 to $119 so I purchased one. I like this tv as it has an inbuilt dvd player in it. The picture quality is as you would expect for a high definition tv, and the colours are good. The EPG is easy to use. You also get batteries, a car cigarette power adapter, normal power adapter and 2 sets of screws. You use the long ones for attaching the feet. I don't know what the short screws are for

$119 isn't bad for a tv with an inbuilt dvd player. I amm happy with it so far.

  • Merged from ALDI's "Bumper Plates" $29.99 for 20kg
    Go to Deal

"Bumper plates" leftovers from Feb special sales. Even cheaper than last year ($30 vs $35). Quite a lot in Carrum's Aldi.

    • I find ones with reflective coatings are better for bumps.

    • Has anyone seen any of the 20kg bumpers left in stock at any store in Melbourne?

If i hadn't seen the original post before being merged into this thread I wouldn't have known about it. Don't know if it's such a good idea to merge all these Aldi Clearance price posts into one thread.

      • The problem is that clearance prices are usually only store specific and not sufficient quantity for a deal. I was at my local ALDI in Brunswick and they had about 4 20kg plates left but at the original price of $49.99.

        • Did they scan through at that price?

I have bought a few at different stores about 3 weeks ago and all the stores scanned them at $34.99.

I thought this might be a further all store Aldi wide discount to clear out inventory?

        • @prxy:

Haven't scanned through but I've never had something scan for lower than the price shown at Brunswick. Some other size weights were on clearance though. Give it a whirl. I'll let ya know if they still have stock next time I'm there.

        • @neil:

          Thanks much appreciated.

        • +1

          @prxy:

As of Tuesday night at ALDI Brunswick, they had 20kg weights (3 in stock) at $49.99. Picture.

However, the 2 x 10kg are $29.99. Picture. Loads in stock.

        • @neil:

          Thanks Neil.

Must be why they still have stock of the 20kg.

East Keilor, Airport West, and Highpoint Aldi had discounted the 20kg plates to $34.99 (scanned at that price without an override). They no longer have any stock however and I assumed all Aldis would have that price.

  • Merged from Cocoon Create Touch 3D Printer from ALDI Now $299 (Has Been $399, Originally $499)
    Go to Deal

Looks like some Aldi stores are clearing out the last of their stock of the Cocoon Create 3D Printer Touch (from the end of January? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/357272).

Stock will probably be extremely limited and probably only available at selected stores. In Queensland, Albany Creek have one left, and I saw one at Bray Park earlier in the week. Both were in the glass display cabinets marked at $299. Albany Creek had another one out the back so it might be worth asking even if there are none on display.

It seems this printer is a rebranded Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus. This is apparently a well regarded, moddable printer with a good community. Reviews say it suits beginners and people who just want to print since it is (relatively) cheap and very easy to assemble (first print in 30 minutes), but many users keep coming back to it for reliability and print quality.

Was originally $499, then $399 reported in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/363961. Now $299 since at least Sat 5th.

If you find or buy one please let us all know in the comments. Likewise let us know if you find any filament in stock anywhere.

    • The printer at Bray Park is gone, and there is no stock at Strathpine or Carseldine.
The only filament I could find is 3 boxes of Slate Grey at Strathpine at $20 per box.

Looks like Aldi is clearing out these 80gb super pack with 40% off ticketed price. Spotted this one in Deer Park, Vic and Burnside so might be nation wide. Worked out to be $15/month for 6.6gb which is cheaper than kogan and catch.

    • Are these guys on the same speed as telstra's network and do they allow for receiving texts whilst overseas?

  • Merged from ALDI Workzone Titanium Xfinity 20V Impact Driver $29.99 (was $39.99)
    Go to Deal

Went to Aldi (Southern River WA) looking for something to complement the rest of the kit I got last week (battery, charger, impact wrench and air pump) and saw these impact driver @ $30. These were not part of the catalog items from last week's Special Buy - presumably they put these leftovers out from other previous tool sales. Decent price for an impact driver with 5 years warranty I reckon (although my usage is so light that I've been completely satisfied with just using this Ozito 3.6V little one for the last few years).

    • I've always wanted an impact driver but have never convinced myself I'd need it. I reckon the whole point of an impact driver is when I need to do LOADS of screws driven deeply into a hard material… Something in my years of DIY, I have NEVER needed to do. I suppose if your DIY involves doing that, then an impact driver will be a godsend.

    • Would that fit a hole cutter? I want to build a stand for my dyson (renting, can't make holes in the wall) but I have no clue what tool to get.

PS: no battery or charger? is that expensive?

      • Battery 2ah for $20 and 4AH for $40, charger is $20 I think.
It should be ok to drill a hole as long as you fill it up and paint it at the end of the tenancy. If you're worried just ask, not many landlords will say no.
It's an easy task and it should require just one or two small holes (and maybe dynabolts for concrete) for a Dyson.
