    • Oh that's worrying, I thought they have a local support team thats why I signed my parents up to them….

      • They do have local support just the main method is email or now live chat

  • I just signed up for the 100/40 for $75 last week, can we change it to $70? Pretty unfair if we cant

    • Yeah me too, on to my 3rd week and it is keep getting cheaper.

      • The rep already confirmed to someone else doing the same thing.

        Short answer: Yes

    • if you are already provisioned yes you can

      • Thanks for the response, how do we change to $70 plan.

        • click through to the offer and click the green button that says [change to this plan]

        • @telecube:
Thank you so much, love telecube

        • I just did that. It was easy peasy. Literally.

        • @MathNerd: Ez 4 n3rdz

    • I just did that. It was easy peasy. Literally.

I've had a number of issues with Telecube, ended up having to leave for a more reliable/honest ISP. Be warned, the service is not great, you will either need to email them or post on whirlpool to get a response. Don't bother calling, most of the time the call goes through to an answering service and no call back.

You get what you pay for, please check whirlpool as there's a number of people posting on there with constant issues with telecube. It's frustrating having the internet drop out, then email telecube for them to respond 3-4 days later telling you to reset your router.

    • yep, i'm sorry our support has been average lately .. we have added more staff and opened up livechat .. we're going to do better.

    • Have had a similar issue. Frustrating when the video I'm watching is buffering every 3 seconds and that's the response - reset your router.

  • Currently on an iiNet grandfathered plan with 100/40 FTTP.
What is the churn time to convert to telecube?

Any community members comment on iiNet vs Telecube for quality of service (NBN only, not support)

    Thanks!!

    • +1

Churn for FTTP should be a few business hours

You can have two ports open at the same time so you can compare both services if you wanted

    • Just called iiNet and after 10 years of being a customer the best they could offer is standard deals and tried to 'price match' but offering me the 12/1 500Gb plan. OMG, bye!

      • There's no reward for loyalty.

        • Nope! Telecube application sent

  • Thanks - just needed it in time, ordered 50/20 1000G for $60/m.

    • Can anyone suggest a good router? Preferably having a support for AC speeds.

      • +2

        ASUS RT AC 68U

        • +1

Thanks bud, bought for $145.8 from eBay with 10% discount :)

        • +1

@KokeeMonster: I've purchased a few routers from that seller, recently the ASUS RT-AC3100 , great router, fast delivery too.

        • +1

          @KokeeMonster: Great price.

        • +1

@KokeeMonster: think you've been rolled.. that looks like the TM-AC1900 which has a lower clocked CPU of 800Mhz. This is mentioned in the ebay link under 'Key specifications'.

This can be had for 78.31$ at the moment - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/372047.

  • This or Mungi?

    • +1

I'm always a bit sus on rsp's offering unlimited plans.. much rather what telecube offers as it's still plenty enough but people can't abuse it so they should be able to afford the cvc to keep it fast

  • I already have an account with Telecube for one address, but wish to take up this deal for another address.

Do I just make another account for the new address or can I have both addresses on the same account?

    • +1

you can add multiple services on one account if you want .. or create a new account if you prefer

  • +2

I'm on Skymesh and just gave them a call because they plan match. The lady on the phone had said she could only see this deal for $75 but then she was happy for me to guide her through the OzBargain site to this page and she matched the price.

My $95 plan with Skymesh is now $70. :D

    • +1

How is Skymesh nowadays? Still a sinking ship?

      • I went from HFC Skymesh to Telecube and during peak hour my ping was 150ms + with Telecube its around 50ms and thats with my Brisbane connection going to Melbourne POP lol Skymesh surprised they're still in Business

        • I'm with SkyMesh, 22ms In rural Perth with NBN wireless here.

    • I signed up with them a a few months ago, they said they don't plan match anymore but they eventually did after I found a plan to match for 25/5 500GB $55 on a forum.

But glad to hear they did that for you and will be doing it myself for sure

    • Also, SkyMesh don't do "Unlimited" I was told previously.

I'm curious did they mention anything about this?

As this plan is Unlimited offpeak downloads Unmetered uploads..

  • +6

<3 no contract, no setup fee internet. Keep it up Telecube

    • Indeed.
Before we know it all of OzB will be on Telecube, and the majority of Telecube's traffic will be from/to/through OzBargain.
Even scotty will probably get on Telecube, haha.

      • I'm happy to stay with ABB for dedicated backhaul. :)

  • nbn only comes after June this year,
can I still take this offer?

    • +1

You can add the service and leave instructions in the notes

      • you mean create a account and leave the notea so latet on I can enjoy all the plan and t&c offered now?

    • Yes, I just talked with John from Live chat and he said I can sign up today and set a later start date. I will be charged once at sign up and then the credit will be held in my account until the service is activated. After that, it's the normal monthly billing cycle.

And you can also change to any other plan you see with TC before/after your service starts.

  • Hey rep,

We ordered 2 weeks ago and still haven't been provisioned yet. Is it possible to swap plans and not interfere with the provision ?

    • +1

If we haven't ordered the service yet .. yes

if we have processed the order you will have to wait until it's provisioned before changing

      • Yeah the service was ordered on the 16/04 and we have been without internet since 19/04.

We've contacted support via email a few times and just been told there have been delays. Is there anyway we can hold this deal if our service still isn't provisioned by it's expiry?

        • message me with your details please

        • @telecube:
Sent you a PM, I don't think there's anything you can do though. Support have said it's an issue with their carrier. Thanks anyway though rep

  • Has anyone churned through from AussieBB HFC NBN?
Just curious how the speed and reliability compares given the additional POI AussieBB buys.
    Then again $15 a month saving to switch…. hmmm….

  • +1

    Sweet saved $5/mth on 500gb 50/20 plan!

  • -1

Is a new invoice going to be sent, as I just received my new invoice this morning for the old plan ?

  • Mungi is $70 for 100/40mbps unlimited, im about 100m from node and get about 80-90mbps during peak, better deal?

    • If 1000GB is enough for peak downloads then same price possibly better service

  • I just signed up this morning as I was told it would get connected by close of business today. I choose 25/5 $45 plan. I was previously on buzz telcos $19 12/1 plan. Reviews and price for telecube sold me. I've got FTTP.

  • +5

    Thanks OP.

I took up the previous offer on the 100/40 500GB plan, which was $70 at the time. I was switching over from MyRepublic.
Saw this deal, logged into my account and switched to the same inclusions and speed, but now at $65 a month.
It was literally one of the simplest things ever, you guys made your interface so easy to use and understand.
    Well done.

    Thanks TC.

BTW My TC connection is going great, speeds are phenomenal and I've had no issues.

    Cheers!

    • How much time it takes to switch from Myrepublic to Telecube?
I am on HFC with Myrepublic

      • +1

hit us up on livechat please .. it depends

      • Two weeks to be connected (Glele NSW); signed up in mid March

  • I did a plan change on the 8th of April, and attempting to switch to one of these throws an error saying I can only change once per month, I assume that late on the 8th of May, I should be able to switch? Might just sneak in before it expires, since the $55 plan was what I wanted when I did the original plan change in April, but it wasn't available at the time :)

    • It could be once per billing cycle

    • it's once per 30 days

      • How is the 30 days counted? Is it a matter of waiting 30 days from the last time the plan was changed?

        • +1

          it is yep

  • I'm currently on the 100/40 1000gb $70 plan but without free offpeak downloads. I've tried changing plans to this one which doesn't count off peak downloads but I can't, any help please?

    "Verifying Plan Change
There was a problem, please see below: The plan you have selected is the same as you are already on, please choose another plan!"

    • +1

you'll be on unlimited offpeak and unmetered uploads already

      • Oh ok. Thanks.

  • Hmm. You told me it's unlikely the price will drop in future deals.

  • +3

How is the International Peering with Telecube?
Some of the DL speeds results to Europe (Amsterdam) I've had with some telcos on 100/40 are:
    Telstra: around 75Mbps
    Buzz: around 25Mbps
    Mungi: around 23Mpbs
Nor sure why Telstra has by far much better speeds…it was the only one I could stream some HD contents from Europe and USA…

  • Well, I've been offered to get out of my Internode contract for no charge, this deal might just get me over. Would save me $30 a month as well! I'm FTTN and get 95/38 max speed which is nice, so hopefully that wouldn't change.

Would probably have to buy a decent modem/router though, but the $207 compensation from Internode might help with that! LOL

  • How does it work in terms of billing/cancellation if I'm switching to Telecube NBN if I'm currently on TPG ADSL2? If I subscribe to Telecube, does my TPG ADSL automatically get cancelled, or do I need to contact TPG to cancel it? Not sure how the billing side with TPG would work too as i'm paid from 06/05/2018 to 05/06/2018. What are OZB experiences with the billing?

    • +2

You need to give a 30 day advance notice to TPG for ADSL service cancellation. Telecube (or any other NBN provider) won't cancel it for you. TPG would issue you a final pro-rata bill. Also you can let Telecube know of the date you would like to get connected/activated. Based on your TPG billing period, if you cancel your connection within the next couple of days then you can avoid any additional charges.

  • Does this offer include a free DID?
Because I can't find it on the page

    • sorry yep it's a general thing across all plans .. did and inbound calls to voip included

  • Hi Op,
My nbn just got commissiined on the 1st may but my new router has not arrived. Expected delivery is 11th may.
    Therefore im not downloading anything.
I was told that i still will be charged for non use and cannot delay the connection. Is that correct?
    Thanks in advance.

    • where's the router coming from?

we'll normally start billing you once the service is provisioned

      • Im in Wa, router modem coming from Sydney via sydneytec.
Would have replied to nbn commissioning date email but was in outback with no service.

  • I'll bite. Currently on Telstra NBN FTTP. Will see how Telecube compares and if OK will cancel Telstra.

    • You'll probably have lower international speeds but TC is actively trying to improve them and it may not affect your streaming.

    • Please let me know how it performs. I won't have the luxury the good old fttp has when it comes to testing rsp. Getting fttc next month and have always been with telstra torn between options now. Telstra, iinet, ABB or TC

      • I've sent you a PM. Summary is that international speeds are slower through telecube than through Telstra.

  • I've had a pretty good experience with Telecube so far (until today). They are generally easy to get in-contact with, provided you are patient etc.
I signed up to the previous OzB Deal: 50/20Mbs, 1000GB for $65… My service is due to be activated on the 9th of May.

I wanted to change to this new deal (50/20Mbs, 1000GB for $60). However, since my order is still "awaiting activation", I'm unable to make changes until after my NBN service is activated (9th May), however this offer expires on the 8th (one day earlier).

I asked if I could either:
    - Have a note left on my account so I could switch over once the service is activated.
    - Or; Just get my account balance credited for the difference until I can switch.

Pretty annoying that I can't get onto this new deal :(

  • Dang, locked in with My Republic until December for $10 more. Although they have been fine lately.

    • Locked in? That was silly.

    • You can still sign up now, and in the notes section say you want to be connected in January.

  • was thinking of changing to these guys but after reading the speedtest whirlpool page think I'll pass. Peak time congestion should be a thing of the past

    • I think most issues have been resolved. NSW had a problem in the last couple of weeks, it was a Vocus issue that was identified and resolved.

    • I switched form Skymesh to TC because of better value. The evening congestion is getting worst. At times Netflix stars with pixelated form and gets better. Even last night was bad. Generally good during the day. If this sales like this I dont know how long they are going to keep up. I am already thinking of switching.

      • please let us know if you are having issues .. you should not be

  • I’m trying to change my plan 50/20 1000GB to this but it’s still in setup/appointment stage. Is there anyway I can change this rep?

“There was a problem, please see below: This service is currently in an ordered state, plan changes are not allowed!”

    • Not until it is provisioned

  • +1

I've been with Telecube for about 6 weeks on 25/5 FTTN. I've been overall impressed. I do experience frequent reconnects (being reported on Telecube site as "Lost-Carrier") which feels like it might be the FTTN tech rather than Telecube but I'm only guessing. Besides that, speed wise has been pretty decent. Only once for a few hours it tanked.

So I've upgraded to 50/20 now. My line is good for 65/35 so I think this is the end of the line for me.

    • How do you know what your line is good for?

      • +1

        Modem line stats.

        • Yeah, that.

  • can i apply now and connect at end of month? my current provider won't provide prorata refund so i cam only cancel at the end of the month

    • Yes. Add desired date to the notes. You will have to pay TC now.

  • I previously applied for the $75 plan for when nbn is available in my area. That hasn't occurred yet, how can I change from the $75 plan to the $70 plan?
