How do u scan scotch fillets as brushes potatoes via Coles eBay? Asking for a friend

    • +1

Order the fillet. Take a photo of the potatoes and send that to PayPal as a chargeback claim because they sent the wrong item.

      And Bob’s your uncle.

  • +1

    Posting to: Australia
Excludes: Adelaide Metro, Northern Territory, NSW Regional, Perth Metro, QLD Far North, QLD Regional, QLD South East, SA Regional, Tasmania, VIC Regional, WA Regional, WA Remote, PO Box

    Ugh

    • You should know by now that WA is as remote as you can get :P

      • +18

        Waxit!

        • +1

I know you're joking, but I'd fully back this notion lol.

          • @Frayin: Oh please do.

            • @Munki: Like you could live without our share of the GST and income from mining!

              • +2

@spackbace: You must've forgotten the time when you guys were dirt poor and needed help from other states, yeah? Oh and good luck when the resources are all out and you guys have no skilled jobs available because you were too busy digging holes.

                • +1

@Munki: Resources are good for 2+ generations, with new mines opening up as we speak 😉

                  But chill dude jees

                  • +1

@spackbace: I'm pretty chill. I do enjoy your taxes. ;)

  • $39.00 - Coca-Cola Cans 375mL 30 Pack

    Not including $10 shipping.

    LOL WAT?

    • +1
      • Is that a $10 cap per delivery? Might sound obvious but it's a brand new service and it shows $10 on everything

        • My postage was free
          $50 in cart before discount

    • +1

Definitely not worthwhile unless you do a big shop to offset shipping

      • Free postage >$50 before discount?

    • $18.50 for the 375ml 24 pack then 25% off. A much better option.

    • +4

WOW!!! What a claim! Saddest comment I've read in quite a while. I think you need to have a read through some old posts and maybe even speak to the moderators (especially Scotty) re claims of incentives for posts. :(

      • -8

Don’t take it personally man. Just wondering. So no incentives? You haven’t actually said. Why is that sad to ask?

If I posted almost daily regarding a business I’m sure people would ask what my association is.

You primarily post Ebay deals now, so…

        • +8

Of course I'm going to take it personally. Your comment doesn't even warrant a response. As I said, have a read through some old posts and you'll find the answers you're after. It's really sad how members here stoop to new lows just to kick deal posters in the guts. I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread as I'm really not interested what people think. If you have issues, please TWAM the mods.

          • -6

@tightarse: Mate I appreciate all your work. You’re a legend in these parts. However, unless u have an eBay account there’s not much in the way TA posts these days. Just working with the info at hand.

            All good though mate.

            • +6

@Bellpop: 3462 posts and you question it now? lol

TA works for Cash Rewards, that's pretty known around here. Of course they get a tip-off for every new sale going on etc, so it's very easy for him to have his finger on the button for a new deal post.

              Not rocket science really.

          • +4

@tightarse: Thanks TA, I appreciate the post even if others don't - I wouldn't have known about Coles eBay without your post!

        • +8

He has been saying it for years and years and years. There are no incentives.

          • -6

@Clear: OK, if you say so. Even though I plus voted this deal, it’s clearly substandard. 25% off full priced Coles items?! Doesn’t seem like the regular TA Ozbargain deals we’ve come to expect.

            • +5

@Bellpop: And you're trying not to be personal. hmmmmmmmmm

    • +24

I agree with you Bellpop but no longer question anything regarding TA as he/she is regarded as OzBargain royalty by many around here. Any question, no matter how well intentioned is generally shot down in flames.

First in with so many Ebay deals but not getting heads up from somewhere not available to general public is getting more difficult to accept.

      • +6

Don't forget to ask how r0xz is getting eBay deals before the terms go live ;) Not suss at all.

        • +6

          ¯_(ツ)_/¯

          • +2

@r0xz: It's okay I still love you! Keep up the awesome work ;)

          • @r0xz: r0xz is a legend ;)

        • +4

Don't forget to ask how r0xz…

Haven't noticed r0xz deals but same should apply to anyone who's got access to info before it's released. These people have an association with the company offering the deal and when we're talking about Ebay, they're not offering discounts to clear stock but to increase profits.

Associated members are posting deals here promoting Ebay without declaring that they have a working relationship with the company.

If I have a friend who works for Telstra and I post a deal for Telstra then I'm expected to declare that I'm associated with the company regardless of whether my friend knows that I'm posting or would even benefit.

          • @OzBragain: You better stop it, what you have said makes sense. People will not be happy.

          • @OzBragain:

If I have a friend who works for Telstra and I post a deal for Telstra

Just be prepared for people to accuse you of being paid by Telstra for posting the deal. ;)

      • +2

pretty sure TA mentioned that as he works for CR, they get info beforehand about upcoming deals
        There isn't even cashback anymore.

        • Can confirm this!

        • +3

Oh ok so he is associated

          • @Bellpop: Yes, TA's associated with Cashrewards. It's an open secret. Not with eBay/Coles though, which this deal is about, hence no associated tag for this deal.

Hell, we even saw him land this gig.

Hope that helps explain a few things.

          • +3

            @Bellpop:

Oh ok so he is associated

Posting deals for Ebay that others don't have access to. Only has access to the information because he works for a company that directly benefits from Ebay transactions going through Cashrewards but no need to declare an association?!?!? Doesn't seem right when compared to the family/friends association pointed out above.

      • +1

Get ready for down votes. How dare u question the fact that one dude promotes Ebay non stop and doesn’t get a kickback. Seems like alan jones cash for comment but what would I know, I’m clearly a trouble maker now, for asking a question.

        • How dare u question the fact that one dude promotes Ebay non stop

4 of the last 18 posts are eBay. Is that nonstop? Nope.

          • -1

@Clear: Was the 19th eBay? How many of the past 5 Ebay posts belonged to Toghtass?

            Not many critical thinkers here…

            • +1

@Bellpop: You said nonstop. It's not nonstop.

        • +4

Honestly, why do you give a shit?

        • @Bellpop R U OK, Do you need help?

      • +4

Any question, no matter how well intentioned is generally shot down in flames.

To be clear, Bellpop's original comment was not well-intentioned. It was directly accusatory, claiming that TA gets paid for promoting eBay deals and stating that TA is sus because he doesn't disclose something that is untrue. That is why it got shot down in flames.

    • -1

How dare you speak poorly of our god TA.

  • -3

Is Perth metro in? I also can't seem to find any products for sale.

I wonder if Coles will have their weekly specials on eBay too?

    • Price jack?

  • Any bargain?

  • Do you still get flybuys points and if so will it stack with other deals?

    • You get flybuys via Ebay (2 points per dollar for non-plus members, 1 point per dollar for plus members). No points from Coles directly. It won't stack with any non-ebay flybuys offers.

      • Are you sure you've got it the right way around? The way you've written it, Plus members are getting shafted!

        • +1

He got it the other way round. Non-plus members get 1 point per $2 spent, plus members get 1 point per $1 spent.

        • My bad. Wrong way round

BTW I count at least 20 of them disappearing .

    • +11

      Wtf did I read? 😓

      • +10

        Words, you read words.

        Allow me to translate:

"Shame on you Coles you should be trying to build a customer base on eBay instead you have been deceitful by price-jacking and as such have probably turned away potential new customers. That is not epic. Almost 20 of the specials have vanished."

  • +5

What is even the benefit of eBay over Coles online, apart from this initial discount?

    • +1

This initial "discount" isn't even much when they don't honour coles special.

  • +3

  • Its strange that this was only covered on 7 news whereas channel 9 covered the upgrade of Flybuys.
Its as if each channel was completely oblivious to the two different offers or more probably each was given a separate different exclusive to cover.

Looks like this is the start of another supermarket battle…bring it on!!

    • +6

covered on 7 news whereas channel 9 covered the upgrade of Flybuys

And to think they have the audacity to call their 6pm programs 'News'.

Thank god for the ABC\SBS news.

    • What upgrade of flybuys?

      • I was channel surfing at the time flicking between the two 'news' channels… but the general gist was that they are extending the scope of Flybuys by creating more partnerships and more opportunities to get more points. They wanted more people to sign up so that they can tailor make more offers available to more individuals…

Ultimately it was a marketing exercise that was deemed 'newsworthy' by Nine where as Seven deemed the partnership with Ebay the more 'newsworthy' item.

I wonder if Coles pays Seven and Nine to report these stories or is it just more clever exploitative marketing?

  • Ok found 1 litre lite long life milk $1
    160 gms coles banana's $1
160 gms coles musk sticks $1

Normal price the buggers will not change em I think :)

  • +1

    There's nothing in the store?

Also, wouldn't it have been easier if they had specified the post codes which were eligible?

  • +1

More excluded postcodes than the deal itself.

    Oh what a mess…….;)

  • Not sure if expired.

"This code can't be applied to your order"

    • Worked for me sure you had>50 and not a postcode in exclusion?

  • +1

cant even tell what's worth buying on ebay. so stupid - cant tell if things are on sale. Will stick to website
