    • Don't worry, I only just signed up and only received the triple points email as well.

  • Anyone else get an error when trying to register with old email?

    • What kind of error? I'm sure when you register it should allow all emails?

      • "Oops. Something is not right. Please try again with the correct account information."

        • That sounds like you're trying to log in, not register.

        • I have the same error, have you signed up successfully?

          • @xxau: I have the same error :( Tried calling their support number mentioned in error (US number) and they are closed atm.

They discontinued the Seafood Sensation!!! WTF!

    • They also got rid of the club :(

  • +2

This is like the days when Subway made you collect stamps…

    • +1

At my local subway the big reel of stamps was on a wall facing the inside of the shopping centre. It was a pretty body wall made of some thin wooden bboard shit. It was like a 1.2m high wall with 50 cm glass partition on top of it. For some reason there was a hole in the wall about the size of your fist. You could reach through and take stamps. A mate got quite a few free subs that way.

      • +1

I think that's one reason why the stamp system stopped. There were heaps of full reels for sale on ebay at the time.

  • Unfortunately never got an email from them regarding this… even on my birthday… and I completely forgot about the free 6in sub on your birthday…

  • I received an email after I tried registered but it says

    "Scan to claim your
    triple reward dollars

To claim, just show your Subcard® identified above along with this email on your phone or mobile voucher in your Subway® app. Offer available from 25.06.2019 and 09.07.2019"

Is there another email I should expect to receive?

    • Yes, there should be an email with the code for the free meal.

      • +1

        Okay thank you!

  • Shouldn't this be marked as 'targeted' ?
Or is everyone eligible to get it, and I can just sign up now (without already being a member etc) and get this great offer .

    • +7

I mean, are you really an Ozbargainer if you weren't a part of the Subway Eat Fresh Club?

      • +1

I get my subway free normally ;) So normally no need for club membership etc

        • Fair enough.

      • I was an eat fresh member and they didn't give me the free sub upon signing up to the Subcard. It's targeted.

        • Ok, the free meal came through despite their email not mentioning it.

          • +1

@puffinfresh: Where do you see the free meal if you didnt get any email? Is it on the App?

    • All jokes aside though I'm not sure if you can sign up now and get the offer so I can't say for sure if this deal is targeted or not, sorry :/

  • Tried it last night, didn’t work. The franchisee honoured the deal. They are obviously trying to go down the QR code path like McDonalds, shame it isn’t working when rolled out in stores.

    • Have you called customer service? I'm sure they'll be able to help you?

      • What are they going to help him with? The franchisee honoured it.

        • -1

          He said it didn't work?

          • @phatbirb: The QR code didn't scan but the franchisee gave him the deal anyways. They would have put it through manually.

            • @Abbi: Ohh sorry, misinterpreted the comment.

              • +1

                @phatbirb: No probs :)

              • @phatbirb: Yeah thy did honor it. Today the code showed up on my app under offers.

  • Tried to register using my existing account…..wrong email and or password.
Tried resetting password……account not found under the email address.

How the F%$# does this happen when they bombard me with emails to said email address including this offer?

    • Are you trying to sign in or register? I'm not sure why they would stop anyone from signing up.

      • +1

        Trying to sign in.

Ended u creating a new account with existing email..

        • +1

Yeah, that's what you're supposed to do.

  • +1

    Participating stores only

  • Anyone else still waiting, registered yesterday using my same email but no freebie yet :'(

    • Yep, waiting for 18 hours now

    • Yup still waiting too

    • Got mine just now

      • Yep got mine at last

  • +3

Attempted to redeem, store didnt receive their scanner yet and upgraded system - Erina.
Made me pay out of pocket, smfh

    • +2

My wife just had the same issue a short while ago. She said she didn’t want it, and they weren’t impressed. Poor form from Subway advertising this promotion if the stores can’t be ready for it.

  • +4

Tried to use the offer today. Although the app said ‘your free offer will be used when you press order now’ or something, it still kept asking me for my credit card details like it was going to charge me. Decided to use the offer in store in Sydney City.

They made my sub and scanned the QR code, telling me that it was not valid. The app told me the offer was valid for that store. Quite annoyed. Felt obligated to pay for the sub since it was already made. Grrrrr Subway…

    • Compared with Schema’s post, this store had their new scanner sitting out front.

  • +7

Tried to claim mine today and the store turned me away saying that they aren't part of the sub club. Wtf joke is subway playing at.

  • My free meal has now arrived in the App - took a little over 24 hours from when I signed up.

  • +2

Anyone tried any Sydney stores and did not work?

    • +3

Did not work for me at 7/815 George St, Haymarket last night.

I have already sent feedback via Subway's Contact Us page. I will divulge more details if I receive an unreasonable response.

      • Thanks!

Mine worked on Clarence St. close to Wynyard. They have this scanning machine like a box which scans the QR code.

      • +2

I was also at 815 George St and had it not work (@ilovefullprice, they also had a QR code scanning machine). I sent them a case too since I was obligated to pay for the meal. Received this response:

"Apologies, we have had a few tech issues with the Sub Card scanning, but thankfully we have fixed this issue, if you reprint your offer or use your app with the code again it will work for you and you will be able to claim your free sub and drink."

Not even offering a refund for my paid meal.

        • +1

Think a good way is to ask the store first whether they can scan the QR code before purchasing

    • I went to Subway Broadway yesterday and they had a scanner, they said it didn't go through but I still got the sub for free :/ I got an email this morning from Subcard thanking me for making my first purchase though?

      • +1

Most likely the QR code has been scanned as I received the thank you email too

  • +1

THIS WORKED UR A BLOODY LEGEND!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!

  • +1

Tried in east Perth - got it but they did try and make me pay for it as that’s what the screen told them but they played around and I got it in the end.

  • +3

Now you guys made me scared to try it in store!

  • +9

I downloaded the app and registered for the Subcard last night, got the email this morning about the free meal and it also appeared in the app. I tried to redeem it through the app just now, it showed on the final order page as being part of my order but then it charged my credit card. And of course the store knew nothing about it, never even heard of the app or any promo, and I'm out $11.60 for what was meant to be a free meal.

    • Same thing here…though I'm out $13.40!. I've contacted support…see what they say…

    • Has anyone successfully used the app to place a free order yet? I'm not really willing to try entering my credit card details since I think I'll be charged the normal amount.

I do like the idea of the app - it removes the normal pressure of having to consider and choose ingredients on the spot.

      • Yes And I didn't enter any CC details. Only issue was Sandwich Artist at the store had no idea I'd made the order…

    • Yeah, eventually you get this example email

      https://imgur.com/a/xz5ZX43

Then because the app cant scan the qr code it updates itself a few hours later in "offers" section. CS118 shows what may happen after.

      • +3

Tried it and it worked, did NOT have to put in any payment details, it just added up to $0.00

Maybe they properly added the update in? Going to pick it up now.

Edit: no problems got a free subway and a free pizza today. Lucky!

  • No free meal for me. Any thoughts ideas? Used the same email.

    • Took about 20 hours for me to get free meal email after registering. Then another day for it to show up in my offers section. How far along are you?

      • Couple of days. Will check junk again.

        • +1

          Got it!

  • Is this valid on any 6 inch sub or wrap, or are there exclusions?

  • Is the free meal showing just in the app or when you log in from a desktop?

  • +2

Tried in app and it has offer ticked but still ask for credit card to pay; tried at Brisbane Spring Hill store, they did a test scan and told me their machine shows the offer or code is invalid and I am not the only one had this issue. I didn't bother to ask if they can honor the deal or not.

  • Have been reading comments that this deal is not being honored at many places. How do I confirm if it will work at my local Subway? Dont want to be a fool with no lunch tomorrow.

    • +3

I was hesitant to try today as well. But decided to go for the direct approach and showed them my phone before I ordered, asking "can I use this here?" The guy read the T&Cs and said yes. I scanned the QR code and it worked!

      • +1

Ditto. Worked for me as well. Did the same as you. Asked and then scanned.

  • The claims exchange 'SignUp-CyberSourceCheck' specified in step '1' returned HTTP error response with Code 'NotFound' and Reason 'Not Found'.

Anyone faced this error while signing up ?

  • +1

Used this yesterday with QR code and had no issues, everything went through smoothly. Thanks OP

  • +1

    No issue at Watertown Perth.

  • Not honouring deal at Randwick, NSW. Any success around Sydney's eastern suburbs or UNSW area?

    • ohh dang! was planning on getting it from that store tom

      • I managed to scan the QR code from the app at Coogee Beach. The app kept crashing on checkout (even though I doubt any store would know how it works anyway).

  • Is there a list of places in Victoria that it is valid at please? :) Thanks

  • +1

Mine didn’t work in the app, it still requested payment even thought the offer was supposedly added .
I tried in store, and the owner was really trying hard to make it work but no matter what he put through the till (small meal, sub + 390ml drink, sub + cup, etc) the QR code wouldn’t discount the meal. Ended up paying for the sub.
Who do we contact at subway? Their FB account??

  • Can we just scan the QR code that is shown on the email? Instead of downloading the app

    • +1

Yeah you can. Did this myself. Better to tell the store you have the QR code first before ordering.

  • QR code didn't work for my store today but they honored it and put it through manually.

  • Worked for me yesterday. Just asked before ordering if they accept it.
All I had to do was scan the code for the offer on the app on the scanner they had and they did the rest. Glad it worked straight away considering there was a lunch time queue happening.

  • QR code didn't work for me this morning. The guy scanned it twice & had "invalid card". I had to pay full price. :(

    • Complain to Subway head office. Don't let them get away with it.

      • I did - even before I ate my breakfast. I had to ask for the invoice. I contacted them online using the app and website. They told me to call a number which I did. When I spoke to them, they said they will get back to me. 😟 haven’t heard back yet. Not sure if they will do anything about it.

  • worked for me on swanston st today, the one just little bourke

    • Scanning the QR code worked at 173 Queen St in Melbourne just now. The staff were aware of the app (mentioned to them the problem with in-app ordering not honouring the deal).

  • The QR code didn’t work for me either in store. However I was able to use the free meal offer on mobile order by adding it to cart. It only worked when I ordered wrap instead of sub though. Not sure about others.

  • +4

Success (kinda…) this morning getting the free sub and drink by ordering through the App. Placed order @ 7:45am for 8:15am pick up. When I arrived the (young) Sandwich Artist had no idea about receiving orders from the App. Just got them to make my order and showed them the emailed order receipt to get it for free. Probably could have scammed anything (foot long, bigger drink) but I did the right thing so that if they check online orders later they can confirm I got what I was entitled to. I suggested they advise their store manager that orders through the App would become a regular thing (Tradie lunches…) and they needed to have a system that alerted staff of this. Seems to have been poorly executed by Subway head-office.
