    Why is it so hard for Bose to send out an email informing customers about the status of the order?

    The company is like a tin pot show at the moment.

    • Exactly. I asked them the same question that why they did not send out any email about the status of my order rather waiting for me to contact them and tell me that they have to reject my order… well they said they do apologize and they can still offer 15% off…

    Seems to me like these staff are based offshore. Maybe head office is still deciding what to do. Not a good look to leave orders hanging for days on end like this and not even send out a courtesy email.

  • Lol I m pretty sure that voucher code is generic and doesnt do much except to Full priced items… Well Done Bose! This is one of the most pathetic attempts of customer service I have seen considering we only get info after asking on live chat and get the same copy paste reply as above!

But this is not as bad as the recent Office Works' Mavic Pro deal or the one takes the crown for being the worst, Qantas Frequent Flyer's Sony A7 III deal that sucked many people to purchase 2000 points top up at x4 inflated price (which they refused to refund)!

    I paid on credit card. Got charged for 3 although I only ordered 2. I called them today, they said my order was automatically canceled and i wasn't charged. Which is BS. They took my money, over charged me, didnt even have the balls to inform me they (profanity) up and canceled my order. Is there any legal requirement they need to fulfil?

    They offered the discount 15% off, I was too annoyed to accept. Bose.com.au you asses.

      It's a pre-auth, a company simply asks a bank to hold money (or reserve it on your CC in your case) until the transaction is complete. Bose didn't take your money. Prevent you from accessing it, maybe, but they didn't take your money. Any company can refund money if what they list as an error and they can provide any level of customer service they choose.

          This is actually insulting, do they think we are dumb enough to believe this 15% code (Which seems to exclude a lot of items) is only gonna be given to only the people who bought these? Why would you even call it HOLIDAY15, it makes it so obvious and they have had 15% off sales in the past.

          Also, the fact they made us wait multiple days (and still no e-mail or call btw) makes it worse.

          I own multiple Bose products and tbh this has made me turn off buying their products in the future.

    Really poor of Bose, have been informed that customer service is under strict orders from upper management to not offer more than the junk 15% off generic code as compensation for the pricing error. No communication that the order was cancelled either.

    • Yes. I'm pretty sure they could reject the payments through PayPal too, instead of just leaving them there. Seriously, contact your customers and fess up guys!

  • As I keep saying, one of the great advantages of buying these super bargains when you don't really want nor need the item, when they are almost always inevitably cancelled, the disappointment level is close to zero!

  • So did anyone else actually get charged on PayPal? My paypal has changed from being held to actually saying purchase and the funds have been taken now from my bank.

    • People above are saying they money is "on hold" but the money was clearly taken out of my bank.

      • The money is 100% gone as of today and PayPal now says purchased and shows my delivery address etc.

    Rejected their offer of 15% discount code and asked them to make a complain to upper management for not sending cancellation emails. Got a complain number and hoping a response within 48 hrs.

    Wonder how much money are they making in interest from this sale.

    Going to lodge a chargeback with my bank so I'll get my funds back instantly while they review it.

    Bose will also cop a chargeback fee for it, from memory $20+

  • Called Bose this morning as the money still hasn’t been returned.

    They’re claiming no money will come out as the order hasn’t shipped. But until they officially cancel it, nobody will get their money back.

    The person wouldn’t even let me lodge a complaint, just said to send them my bank statement so they can review it. Lol I’m not sending my card statement to some random.

When it became apparent that they'd screwed up I thought Bose would just fill the orders anyway if they had enough stock, though clearly they were not feeling even moderately generous.

          I'm one of them and they basically said we have now escalated this issue internally and asked for a contact number in the DM, ill comment the outcome.

            @RandomFox: I left a comment on their Facebpage.They DM'd me asking for my contact number. No contact the whole day. Transaction disappeared from my credit card transactions too. No email to say my order has been cancelled. I reckon more people should post on their FB page. The negative publicity should push them to action.

    • Your transaction would have been a simple funds hold, and they expire after several days if the actual charge doesn't come through.

      But yes, this is one of the worst responses by a supposedly reputable retailer that I have ever seen.

    Going by the litany of negative comments on Facebook, even prior to the Soundsport fail, I'm thinking that Bose Australia probably just doesn't care. I know that customers are more likely to post negative feedback, but it seems that Bose AU has much more than the norm! I see that productreview ratings reflect poorly on Bose too.

    Is it because the brand name is so desirable that Bose doesn't have to give a $#!^? For any unknown business I would usually run a mile after seeing the general feedback on the interwebs.

  • I have posted on Facebook yesterday night. Called them this morning, the staff doesn’t even know what’s happening. He has to send emails to their hq to find out on my orders. Will get back to me in 24-48 hours.

    I made the payment through PayPal so the money has been taken off from my account since the day I purchased.

  • So, I rang up and they told me that my order is being delivered and should arrive this week (I even asked multiple times to make sure I understood it properly). Very confused atm

    Hey friends, Just called them and I'm here to shine some light.

    I called up asking to find out the status of my order because I noticed that i couldn't see deducted funds anywhere anymore. Guy explained the whole price error thing which I feigned obliviousness to, but then went on to explain that even though there was a bunch of orders they are now processing them at the advertised price of $79.99. However it seems like they are expecting us to call up for this to happen because he said he could 'now' send my order to back of office, while I was on the phone. This may just be because they are out of enough stock so they are hesitant to process everything because of stock levels. I'm not sure.

    So pretty much I encourage anyone still wanting this to call up, be friendly and then hopefully the same will happen for you. He said I should be getting mine by next Wednesday.

      Just spoke to someone too and they said it will be shipped in 3 to 5 business days. Sounds like they are honouring them all.

    Guys, remember if you do get your order and its in your hands then make sure to praise them on their social media pages, so they understand how much it means to a customer for a company to do this

    • Yes please. It's not everyday that companies will go out of their way in honouring a mistake. If we can rally in making complaints, we can rally in thanking them too for honoring the sale and assisting the 600+ of us who OzBargained the heck out of this deal.

        It's nice…though I gotta say, the response on the whole hasn't instilled me with a huge amount of confidence in Bose. It's been almost a week now since my order went in, and I have only received an e-mail saying that the order 'has been processed'. The solution is supposed to be that I contact Bose myself to initiate some action? That's a pretty crap response, no matter the outcome.

        Filling the orders as a response is good…but action should have been taken by Bose to contact customers within a day or two after the orders went in. It is clear that they discovered an issue early, so I cannot understand why customers were not informed ASAP (and still to this day customers have not been informed unless they themselves initiate contact).

        • You're not wrong at all with what you've said, but at the end of the day..if we get our SoundSport then they did what was right for the customer, even if the process was infuriating

  • So, I rang again because I felt like the first response I got wasn't the greatest.

    The guy on the phone was a lot more helpful. Like others have said, they will be sending the Bose Earphones to all those that have ordered but in terms of the e-mail not being sent, he wasn't sure and at worst, all e-mails should be sent by Friday.

    (I recommend calling them for anyone who haven't, so they can send a request)

    For those order for the Speaker details with the stack coupon code, I'm not so sure if they will honour it.
