Should probably add that they're refurbished in the title.

Pretty decent price but they are bt4.2 and stick out of the ears but a good price for bose.

The sound quality of these are first class. I've yet to use a better wireless earbud. My wife has bought me some Powerbeat Pro's for Xmas but I've just ordered a set of these to replace my broken ones (they fell out of my car and got ran over after I took them out and put them on my seat) so these will do great for work and the Powerbeats Pro for the gym.

      •

Which buds have you trialled so far?

        • +1 vote

Jabra 65t, Apple Airpods, Samsung Level U Pro and Samsung Galaxy.

Edit and Soundpeats which were by far the worst.

I've had two qcys break on me lose left or right sync etc

You don't want to purchase a second hand teal "New 2DS XL" from the Melbourne Central EB Games…

        What happened there lol

  •

How is the ability to run with these? Any chance of them falling out? Also how are they for speaking to people?

    • +1 vote

No chance of falling out, you can speak to people fine. They aren't noise isolating but when running on loud they might as well be.

    • +1 vote

Microphone is mediocre, I have used these for calling and the quality is average at best. Then again, most wireless bud has mediocre or worse microphone.

      • +1 vote

I never had a complaint about the mic, I've seen reviews say the mic wasn't the best but it always did the job. I bought the soundpeats that people were going crazy for on here and had a lot of complaints about the mic so dumped them (I use my earbuds for business calls all day usually a dozen times a day)

Good right both opinions even though they are contrasting. Thanks! Bought a pair

  •

Thanks OP. Bought one as I want them, not I need them. Currently I use Bose Soundsport Pulse while running.

  •

Could be a price error, as it's double discounted.

Refurbished savings First quality price $299.95. You save $120.

    •

You are right. At checkout, it did come up with message of $179.95 but cart was $79.95. I think this is the pricing error. Hope they honour it, if not, its alright. :)

    •

Yeah I think they've mispriced them. I reckon they're supposed to be $180.

    • +1 vote

      Typo for sure.
      Hope they honour

It's not like they won't have new shells and earbuds. They'll just reuse the inner parts.

@simprosimple: This is really thing, the unsuspecting groom has no idea, just like winding back the clock on an old car

              • +2 votes

                @Jackson: Yep, just like that. {insert eye roll emoji}

                •

@UFO: Actually you can buy fake hymens (listings on AliExpress), seems to be a thing moreso in Pakistan etc where sex before marriage is punished in rather nasty ways

                •

                  @UFO: 😐 close enough?

                  •

@Jackson: I fail to see how its "just like winding back the clock on an old car", but hey, whatever.

It wasn't the rebuilding of hymens I was questioning, it was the analogy used.

Has the dropout issue been fixed?
I know these had a lot of issues with the left bud dropping out.

My brother bought a pair earlier this year and returned them within a week as kept dropping out.

Here is a thread on the issue, but hasn't been updated for a while…
    https://community.bose.com/t5/Headphones-Archive/Bose-Sounds...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, don't want to spread misinformation, anecdotal evidence is fine, but I'd like to know if there is something official from Bose to say it's been fixed?

    • +6 votes

issues with the left bud dropping out.

Maybe your brother has a big left ear?

      •

      •

        So that's an official fix?

Refurbished headphones. Hmmm… how much anti bacterial formula was applied before they were put back in the box to sell, I wonder..

    • +1 vote

      At least its broken in.

    •

Less than $79.95 worth of anti-bacterial formula

      Not enough in this case

got 3. Christmas presents for the family sorted.

these are so good i have 2 pairs, one still sealed.. i use mine everyday on the commute to work, calls are so-so on them but you buy these to listen to music right.. unmistakably Bose, ive shook my head violently to see if they ever fall out and nope.. $80 is a steal refurbed or not, if you paranoid then buy some spare replacement tips.. otherwise i cant see how you are gonna get STD from these unless u like licking the ear canals of these buds lolz..

  •

Sucker for a supposed price error…didn't need them at all as I have galaxy buds already. Think of the savings, and I'm thinking of $80 if I just didn't get sucked in.

  • -2 votes

Why is this refub'ed is the most important question

    •

Sounds like there was an issue with one side disconnecting that required a firmware update looking at the thread, probably beyond most bose users north of the harbour to do themselves, as such returned or replaced and sold as refurbs with new shells and tips

      • -1 vote

fcking muppets. it's $199 when you order out of stock

        •

Further down someone said they confirmed with customer service and they are return from the 30 day trial

  •

Really don't need it as too many wireless headphones is drawer. But for this price, why not?

    • +3 votes

coz you don't need as you have too many wireless headphones in drawer.

  • -1 vote

    Thanks, just bought one.
So how's the sound on these? :)

  •

    Hope they honour it

  •

Placed a order for one pair with shopback 2% cashback… see what it turns out. I guess will be a better buy than gumtree second hand???

    •

      cashrewards got 2.1%… :)

  •

    Thanks OP!

  • +7 votes

    Do I need it? No
Did I buy it anyway because it was a price error? Yes

    •

      That is the way.
      I have bought.

    •

yeah because you know, not using them or low likelihood of not using them makes it a waste of money

  •

Went through CashRewards and paid using credit card just in case they decide to cancel orders. From experience with previous price-errors, the refunds are easier and quicker when paid with credit card.

    •

In hindsight I should've followed suit and paid via CC - their risk-free trials & return policy is actually really good. With the former, they arrange pick-up at no cost to you.

  •

    Purchased. Cheers OP

  •

well, the second-hand market wants 170 for them - so this is a bargain, they must be 10 times better then the wired ones that's for sure.
