These are uncertain times and we don't want you to worry about staying connected. To do our bit, we’re offering:
❇️ Unlimited data for our home and small business broadband customers (ADSL, NBN, Cable) until 30 April June 2020
❇️ 25GB extra data available for 30 days for our post-paid personal and small business mobile customers
❇️ 10GB extra data available for 28 to 30 days (depending on your plan) for our $40+ pre-paid customers
❇️ Unlimited standard calls within Australia for eligible pensioner customers on landlines between 19 March – 30 April 2020.

Edit: Updated link. Postpaid and prepaid mobile can register your details on the form to receive the data. An SMS will be sent out once the extra data has been applied. Broadband customers do not need to do anything. Thanks koalafied.

  • Is there is a way to get Telstra NBN without 12 months contract? And I don't want their modem , am I asking too much? Lol

      Aussie Broadband & Superloop nbn are month to month.

    • I tried it with Telstra chat, they said the system will send the modem regardless. I asked if I can return the modem ? NO. Well, maybe next time, Telstra. I don't understand with the no contract plan that we can leave at anytime but they can keep charging us for their unwanted modem for the duration up to 24/36 months.

    BONUS DATA

    We’ll be giving Vodafone postpaid customers who are not on an endless data plan an additional 5 GB of maximum speed data to use in the next month. That data will be added to all plans by Friday 27 March. Customers won’t need to do anything to activate this bonus data. To ensure customers always have enough data to meet their needs, we encourage them to consider endless data plans.

    Active prepaid customers will receive a one-off bonus of 3 GB with their next recharge.

    All Vodafone nbn services already include unlimited data.

    UNLIMITED CALLS

    We’re extending unlimited standard national calls to all Vodafone postpaid customers and active prepaid customers by Friday 27 March until the end of April.

    The majority of our postpaid customers already have unlimited standard national calls as part of their plan, but we want to ensure all customers can continue making calls.

    Be careful it applys from Thursday 19 March - we are providing our consumer and small business home broadband customers (ADSL, NBN and Cable) with unlimited data at no additional charge on their plan until 30 April 2020. The data, which will be provided automatically

    And postpaid mobile - can receive an extra 25GB of data on their plan to use in Australia within 30 days. Post-paid customers can apply for the extra data via our Telstra 24×7 and My Telstra Apps from Thursday until 31 March and the data will be available within 24 hours.

    That's great and all but it's not going to stop me from leaving Telstra after this. I'm on their $15 5GB/month data plan with 1.5Mbps unlimited after the 5GB no charge.

    They just sent me an email yesterday saying

    What’s changing:
    • If you go over your monthly data allowance, the maximum you’ll pay for excess data usage in Australia will be $100 a month. Once you reach $100, you won’t pay any more for data - your speed will just be slowed to a maximum of 1.5Mbps for the rest of the month.

      I don't pay for extra data at the cost of it being capped, that's what I signed up for

            @apptrack: yep a telstra rep confirmed for me, data returns to free capped, not extra charged

  • Out-of-market plans seem likely the ones aligned with "$100" data cap control (from pre-throttling days) reading from https://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/Services-KB/Updates-t… fortunately.
    Only change I got was to all calls being blocked/data only, which is fine personally as have Boost in slot#2 for that.
    Less fortunately, 25GB bonus looks unable to rollover accumulate, alas with my next cycle in a few days.

  • Amaysim has this silly habit of giving me extra gigs and email me days later about it. Last month they gave me 9gigs thinking it was a mistake, but it wasn’t, today got 20gigs 😱

  • Has anyone had any success in getting the extra mobile data added to their account? I am getting an error in the Telstra 24x7 app. No luck getting in touch with customer service.

  • Wow I’m impressed it’s not per account but per number so on my account with multiple sims sharing the data, they each were eligible for the bonus data…

    • 230 gb of data.. given my typical usage is only 10gb per month, this'll be interesting. I already had unlimited Telstra NBN 100/40 in my house from before (not that I ever got near that speed) so who knows, maybe 4G might be the new fallback.

  • I just got my extra data, but my month end is in 7 days. Does anyone know if I only get it for 7 days? Or will it be available for another 23 days?

    I got a bonus 10GB on my Boost 12 month 240GB prepaid, less than a day after I filled in the form. Didn't get an sms, but can be checked at https://m.telstra.com/boost/

    Maybe Boost did it separate to this deal, but the bonus didn't appear on my wife's Boost $40 prepaid - so I've now registered her phone# & will see if the bonus appears.

      Registered today. Got the 10gb now, but no sms.

      So i presume, we use our bonus data first?

      • Yep, I noticed it ticking down last night (currently at 9.366GB).
        It must be for 28 days for the 12 month plans, as mine says it: "Expires 16/04/2020 23:59:59"

    • FYI, the 10GB bonus data came through on the wife's Boost account this afternoon (she is on either the $40 or $30 starter kit). So it might be working for all Boost Mobile plans.

  • Most providers are nice and helping out their customers, TPG is hopeless and I am still on a150gb ADSL2+, why they not like Telstra giving us unlimited data for a limited time? Their customer support is dead ZERO, no email reply, no phone support and online chat is basically dead too. I cannot even switch to NBN as I wouldn't know if they will even look at my order and organising installation. Don't want to end up with a cutoff copper line and leave with no internet for a half one job. If you choose to go Telstra or other nbn providers, is this an easy job?

    • There are delays because TPG support are now working from home overseas.

      Changing ISP on NBN is easy.

    Seems like the 25GB counter reset and re applied after new billing cycle!

        So my plan is due to reset tomorrow night, and I’ve had the bonus data added in this billing cycle, so when my plan resets tomorrow night, will it add another 25gb of data per service?

    My NBN has gone to 1/3 of its max speed on Premium
