      OMG Finally 1 review. RTINGS should have 1 out very soon because they got theirs last week. So far this monitor lookin really good. Not sure what the Freesync Premium Pro is though, arent all freesync just freesync like gsync is gsync.

        FreeSync Premium and FreeSync Premium Pro are AMD display certifications, similar to G-SYNC Compatible and G-SYNC Ultimate in some ways.

        In AMD's own words, FreeSync Premium Pro displays are certified for:
        * At least 120 Hz refresh rate at a minimum of FHD resolution
        * Support for low framerate compensation (LFC)
        * Low latency in both SDR and HDR modes
        * Support for HDR with meticulous colour and luminance certification

        Games can also go through the FreeSync Premium Pro certification process which apparently tests things like luminance accuracy and wide colour gamut support.

        Basically, FreeSync Premium Pro means it has official support for FreeSync when HDR is enabled. However, as mentioned in the review, it isn't really a proper HDR (with both the brightness and contrast ratio below the official quoted specs - so while it claims to be HDR400, in reality, it really isn't - not that HDR400 is actually any good - it is fake HDR to be honest).

        It is pretty much a re-tuned LG panel with newer firmware and better software.

        The RTINGS review should be out before most people receive their units.

      Very happy to have bought it just over $500.

      The LG costs around $760 - $800 and mostly sold out. I feel this Dell monitor is worth the same if not slightly more.

      Yes - impossible.

      It is no longer possible to get that deal from the AUS Dell site. It has even been removed to stop anyone trying to order it as you will currently experience massive wait times behind others that already got this deal. It makes sense, imagine ordering one for full price and then getting the expected delivery time of Nov/Dec. They will probably add it back once the backlog of orders get fulfilled.

      Dell US site currently has it up for just under $600 ($429 US) on special right now.

        Dell told me that mine would be fulfilled by end of September but as others have said - possible that it may be later.

      It depends on whether Dell gets 1000 of these units at the end of September (that was their plan). Essentially, if they are on a ship already, then there is a chance most people will get theirs. If they are not on a ship yet, then people will probably get their 3080/3070/3090 before the monitor.

      Oof. Just realised my order sits in there.
      I really wish I had've purchased two - I only purchased one as it was so new and not entirely tested by consumers, had no idea there would be such a wait.
      Hopefully as above, they have a deal once they get stock levels back up as well and if it's a solid monitor then I'll get a second to replace my 1080p.

    My Dell Customer Service rep has reported an ETA of 22/11, despite my order page saying 22/10 (My order was confirmed on 01/08 at 6pm). And when I asked why order page ETAs haven't been updated and why orders are not being sent out FIFO I got a canned response that gave me no answers and then another (non-canned) response in terrible English that also didn't answer my questions after I highlighted the fact that they didn't answer any of them.

    I escalated it to their "ANZ Care Team Lead", and I got a canned response which again, didn't answer any of my questions. And then the follow up response when I highlighted my questions not being answered for a third time said that they ARE filling orders on a FIFO basis and WILL update me if the ETA changes, despite the fact that I showed them a graph of a large amount of orders that were 2 days later from 03/08 being delivered already, and the fact that every ETA I have heard so far from the Dell site is 22/10 not 22/11.

        Just checked my order page and it is marked as shipped as of today! ETA is now 17/09, perfect timing for 30 series if I can get my hands on any stock.

        Just another proof that Dell Customer Service has NO IDEA what the (profanity) they are talking about. There is a clear breakdown of communication somewhere between the different departments.

        Either its a horrible breakdown of communication internally, or the support centre staff are on drugs.

    I will say that is awsome, the may Issue of this monitor I guess is contrast, my copy I test with spyder 5 is around 600, but for my experience isn't that bad, so may because spyder 5 isn't good for test contrast.

      also for them, they recommend fast for overdrive setting, but according to my copy, superfast is the best overdrive setting, almost no motion blur and can't see any overshoot during the ufo test (1920 pixel/s), and I capture this use a 960fps slow-motion camera with superfast overdrive setting, may because the copy different.

      No one was going to get it this month though lmao. I also highly doubt EVERYONE is getting their order in October as well. Which I am in and I still doubt I'll get my order. Between 02/08 and the end of 02/08 IS LITERALLY 700-1000 orders. They said they're going to fill up all the August orders (ordered 3am) in the second week of October but how? They've been getting 100 or less shipments each day. Sometimes even only 5 a day.

        800 units is expected to arrive by the 25/9 so most of the 2/8 orders will be fulfilled. The previous shipments were only 64 and 176ish batches so this is a lot more at least.

        It's been a roller coaster of emotions. One day got email from US that will be shipped 9th Sep instead of of 19th Oct. Got all excited and saw the order page didn't update.

        The sales rep confirmed that it's due 19th Oct and I can cancel if I want.

        Yesterday got a notification from AusPost that a parcel has been picked up from Dell. No email update from Dell. Went to the order page and it had been shipped.

        Wierd how these are being fulfilled.

    I had mine yesterday 16/09/2020 the delivery date was 19/10/2020 … unfortunately my unite had an issue which there is some pixels glowing with read light only when I run a video especially if the video has some dark images… did anyone of you had the same problem with the monitor?

      Looks like bright pixels. It's a form of dead pixel that is considered acceptable by most monitor manufacturers. Is it only when there's video? If so it might not be bright pixels but rather an issue with your GPU or cable. I'd try a different cable if you have one. Otherwise I'd contact Dell and request a replacement.

        The cable is HDMI the same that cam in the box I looks ok, But I plugged the monitor to a laptop with Intel graphics I do know if that will bring such an issue? the laptop display don't have such a problem tho.

        Yes it is only appears when I run a video and there is a lot of these pixels. did not try it on games yet but I do not thing its worth it if its has a this problem in video.

          If it is Intel graphics, you might want to drop the refresh rate to 60Hz, test with the dead pixel page and slowly ramp up the refresh rate.

          If there is still issues, provide more details about the laptop (including the exact model of the mobile CPU and if possible the actual embedded Intel graphics chip).

    Thanks bro, I already did that test yesterday on the site and some programs, did not seen an issue or any dead pixels but the issue is there when I run a video as you can see in the pictures so it is confusing!
