                    @TightTerry: Hmm, 100% told it applied to PS4 Pro trade-in so would get +20% bonus with Level 2. I was literally told to wait till 3rd Nov before trading it in.

                    They even said no controller is minus $45 and any missing cables is minus $5 each so definitely talking about console. Were they mistaken?

    I went to trade on Thursday and ran into similar problems. I would suggest the following:

    1. Keep the trade deals seperate. Insist on two transactions, the first for your console trade in, the second for games and accessories. Not by choice but the staff serving me (a very good staff) tried to save me time and put it all together in one transaction and this led to the initial problem that consoles do not get bonus trade value as part of the double bonus deal. Another problem here is it gets very confusing when you are trying to figure out the value of everything when it's all in one transaction.

    2. If possible be ready with some form of confirmation of the original deals and how much you will expect from the console trade plus ebworld bonus.

    3. If initially they do not offer you the right value be polite and respectful but do not give up so easily and know that you are correct in that the eb world bonus applies on top of the console trade ins (now confirmed by eb games head office as per the earlier post). The issue here is that each store and each staff member may have a different understanding of the deal (although I think this will become better as they process more and more of these deals). In my case it was the second day back for then after the lockdown so fair enough there was some confusion. The fact there were two deals going on added to the confusion.

    4. The final confirmation of your preorder deposit should be on the receipt you get after the trade. Ask them if some how you didn't get it

    No doubt you will all get very different experiences but i hope you all are able to get your trades done as expected. VIC is open now so should be a big weekend for trades.

      Hi, I was wondering about the trade in program. My plan is to trade in as much credit possible to get the new Xbox Series S or X potentially. If I trade in my Xbox One S 1TB with a level 4 membership how much will I get with $200 Xbox one s 1TB valuation? I also plan to trade in my Wii Console, would that be valid to trade in? After that I would also like to trade in a couple of Xbox One S games and Wii Games with the level 4 (40% bonus). Could you please explain to me clearly how this will work as I really have a hard time understanding fully how this will work. Items planning to be traded (Wii Console, Wii Games, Xbox One S 1TB, Xbox One Games). Also, can I use my mates eb world card for the bonus discount (lvl4)?

    Well this is a crap storm. Traded in an original xbox one and got $150. Thought I should had got the extra 15% for level 3. But apparently not. According to customer service it's only if trading a one s for series s or one X for series X. Don't know what to do. Should I try calling again. Anyone have any thing I can refer them to?

      I believe the increased value of the XB1 is $150 before EB World bonus currently when traded towards a next gen console so the standard trade value would be less presumably. So maybe the console traded at about $130 and your lvl 3 was added to that.

      What does the receipt say?

        was $149.50 with 15% induced. I think they are putting everyone on this vip trade week deal, not realizing its worse value if only trading in the console.

    I've called their customer service and the person I talked to told me the bonus trade credit during the VIP week is only for games and accessories.

    so… the VIP trade week promotion email that I received says "EB World Level 1 bonus increased from 0% to 10%" but appararently this only applies to the games and accessories.

        yeah it says you get double the trade bonus(i.e. 200% of the general trade value) and the email also says EB World Level 1 bonus increased from 0% to 10% which is clearly separate ?

        and this is in their EB World T&C

        "'Bonus Trade Credit' means the percentage by which EB Games will increase the trade credit value for Members trading in Preowned games and consoles." so that 10% should be actually applied to consoles I guess ?

          That’s odd, my email states:

          NEXT-GEN VIP TRADE WEEK: EB Trade Policy applies. Double EB World Bonus applies to games and accessories only. EB World Level 1 bonus increased from 0% to 10%. Not to be combined with any other offers. Offer valid 3rd – 9th November 2020. See staff for details.

          No mention of consoles.

              @getadealmate: For those who might be wondering about the same thing, I've confirmed the level bonus you are given during the VIP week doesn't apply towards any consoles you trade in. The only original trade bonus based on your current EB World level applies to consoles.

      I’m pretty sure they stopped taking 360/PS3 games earlier this year. You’d be better off looking at CEX for those, something like Facebook Marketplace or eBay/Gumtree.

      PS4 and XB1, even with double value I think the majority of games will not be as good as selling private.

      It’s a matter of convenience. Go into one place, put the games on the counter and find out what the trade price is, or try selling private, deal with numpties trying to lowball and waste your time.

    Traded in my Xbox One X towards the Series X yesterday along with games.
    Did everything in the one transaction and received both promotions without asking.

    Also if you decide to keep your controller, they subtract $45 off the trade-in which is worth it, imo.

    Has anyone had success in trading in two consoles at the preorder bonus? Have a Xbox One X and Xbox S 2TB that I'm thinking of taking both in tomorrow, was going to sell the 2tb S privately, but with the added game bonus was just going to trade the lot in.. Also wondering if I can, could I credit back in cash my preorder $200 for the Xbox Series X and just use all my trade value? Otherwise selling the S 2tb privately makes more sense..

      Yeah I did. I posted this in the other thread…

      And in another turn of events the store manager said it was also fine to trade in as many consoles as you like towards your pre-order. She combed through the fine print and T&C's and said it says nothing about limits so go for it.

      It was an XB1S and PS4 Pro towards my PS5 pre-order. My trade-ins put me $180 over the PS5 amount so they refunded me.

    For those trading this week, I would follow with the tip of being polite and respectful.

    Traded in the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X but the person in-store was told not to apply the bonus to the trade deal. After some talking, they agreed with me and the trade bonus 100% applies. Do not be fooled or lulled into thinking it doesn't.

    I also think two separate transactions is the way to go if you are trading games and accessories. I was very fussy about seeing the bonus deal code on the receipt and if you are trading a lot of games it will make a massive difference.

    Hope it all goes well for people.

      The console trade in deal was only for pre-order, which unfortunately sold out weeks ago. The trade in double bonus for games finished today (the 9th)

      Edit - actually the console trade in price may still be available for future orders through to January I think I read earlier on this post? Think it was to give everyone a fair chance who missed out on the pre order that sold out so quick. Pretty sure the games + accessories double bonus did however end today.
