Alternatively, you can get the Series S version for $299 when you trade in your Xbox One S but no one would want a stovetop.

EB world is eligible for this offer so if you are on level 4, that’s $420 off the console price itself

    Amazon don't delete the listing after sold out. They only delete prior to sale. So I highly doubt amazon have sold it yet, as I was on it before 8am and haven't left the page since

Well I rang eb games on behalf of a disabled person after they were also locked out of the payment system at 5.01am and eb games flately refused to let me speak to anyone.

I was very pleasant, softly spoken etc but they were NOT going to take the call so I am of the opinion that
Fiona Taylor : Finance Director and Steve Wilson : Managing Director - the people listed on their site ain't the sort of people that care much about their 'customers'.

Sad world these days - not even allowed to ask for help

        For me, I am actually more interested in getting the trade in part, rather than the console. I don't need the console right away. However, I am just too lazy to list the console on the Web and posting it is a pain.

      The new shipment is expected to be post launch, so it may be for a Dec stock. It may also be the remaining units that were in everyones carts but was not put through due to system overload.

        @petry: While I understand the frustration, you should try to arrange this BEFORE the pre-order, rather than on the day where the pre-order starts. For XBox Series X, it wasn't like PS5, where Sony screwed up, but that ended up allowing some people to get them (as BOTers weren't ready). People are all ready to go this time around.
        
        Also, no matter how you spin it, even with the trade in, we are still talking about $300+ top up. This is for 4K (or even if you go for Series S, 2K). Not exactly cheap setup.
        
        Honestly, if you really want to help your friend, get MORE friends to try to buy one for that friend. Or, help your friend sell his/her XBox One X. I know a lot people here raved that they were able to get more selling direct.

        You are expecting to use the disabled privilege on a day where pre-order mess is guaranteed to happen and want people to give your friend VIP treatment.
        
        It's called pre-order. NOT an actual purchase yet. Give retailers more time to think about it and maybe put one aside, rather than complain big time on the day.
        
        Using OZBers as scapegoats won't change anything. You complain on the pre-order day, and making it sounds like you want it more than your friend.

Eb games weren't targeting your mate, it happened to alot of people and they can't make special requirements for one person over another as that then is segregating people and discriminating.

        Another thing, as Aussies, we should be happy for other OZBers who managed to get one. I didn't get one, but I am happy for those who managed to get their pre-orders.
        
        There are OZBers here who seem to be associated with EB games. Instead of complaining, maybe get in touch with them to see if they are able to assist. You also need to bear in mind the EB games pre-orders are the HARDEST to obtain due to the incentives (console trade in, EB World Level bonus).

        @xcx: Amazon havent sold out. Its a bloke trying to get everyone off so he can get one. Amazon only remove listing's before actually posting as a way of stop bots being set up as they change the url. Same thing happened for every ps5 accessories and console. Best way to find it is to refresh the series x page till it drops

Amazon pre-orders for the PS5 went up at about 10:15am AEST. No idea what's going on with the Xbox.I've been F5ing various pages all morning waiting for something to go up.

I basically selected the Xbox Series X console and hit the 'add to cart' option before the page finished loading (thanks NBN) and managed to sneak an order through. Hopefully it will get honoured and it gets delivered day one (it says 'releases 9/11' in my order history so fingers crossed). Now I can get on with my day. Thanks to every one on Ozbargain for taking the time to let the community know when stock goes up. Thankfully console launches only happen every six years or so
