HERE WE GO!!! Heard good things about the QS stand, good to see there's more of it available than the standard model.

Stack with 3% off Ebay gift cards via Shopback/Cash Rewards/Suncorp and/or Afterpay $10 off for bigger discounts!!

    • +1

      Can't stack code on ebay

      • +2

Oh didn't realise Afterpay was a code - gift cards can still be stacked though!

    • Does CashRewards offer eBay gift card?

      • same question, can't find in cashrewards

        • It's actually 4.2% at the moment on CR and 5% on SB. You have to buy the Online Card via TCN and then redeem for eBay.

Note - there seems to be a few instances of variability on how fast the cards are sent via email - most people (myself included) got the card instantly, but a few people have noted delays.

Suncorp is usually instant too - although currently only 3% off.

          • @poppingtags: Thanks but I think all ebay gift card sold out on TCN

              • +1

@poppingtags: it can be added to the card, but says out of stock in check out TmT

              • +1

@poppingtags: Was going to buy some. Won't buy as now they charge 1% "processing fee". Not too bad at 4% discount with Shopback but nothing spectacular.
Also order can't go over $300 including their processing fee so you can only place order for $250.

                • @High: Ah that's a shame! Thanks for pointing it out - looks like Suncorp @ 3% is the easiest way to land one for those with accounts.

  • Damn thats a good deal. Thought the 300 i paid was good.

    • +12

Its the chillest price I've seen bro. ;)

      • I had ordered the 2721D. Can I cancel that on eBay and order this one ?
        atm, need only one monitor

        • If it hasn't shipped yet, you may. Contact seller.

        • Hey :) Did you end up keeping the 2721D?

  • Have to manage to get one atleast today.
Missed out the last couple of time

    • +3

I suspect these will last at least 20 minutes, but ozb has some weird power and you guys have proved me wrong before.

Please everyone remember to prepare your payment details for fast checkout and don't forget to apply coupon code.

      • +1

i actually came on at 7:04 as i had unexpected quest knock the door at 7pm. By the time i came to check it was OOS

        • +2

Same happened to me. I opened the browser window and just left the workstation for 2 mins. And when I came back its OOS. I realized the value of a minute that day.

      • is there a reason this is using custom code to ebay's?

        • Dell uses their own eBay codes for their products, likely a partnership with eBay.

      • +1

        20 minutes? hah.

        • You win some, you lose some.

  • Spoiler for next week?

S2721DGF sub $500 and Ultra wide limited qty which I can't mention price until release :'(

      • +2

Are you able to tell us how many units will be available for the s2721dgf?

        • +4

          1000 units

          • @LiMaaa: Will it be on dell eBay or dell site?

            • +1

@daDilemmaGuy: All BF deals will be via eBay this time round!

              • @LiMaaa: The S2721DGF isn't on eBay dell for me, I'm assuming it comes back on the day of black Friday?

                • @Rickko: That is correct.

      • I am after S2721DGF as well, I hope you can share the QTY!

      • Shall we know the size of Ultra wides?
would help me decide whether to pull the trigger for this 4k one, thanks!

      • LiMaaa, can you perhaps mention the quantity of the UW?

        • +2

100 units, mega flash sale qty.

      • Hi LiMaaa, which ultrawide?

        • OP said 38'' must be U3818DW

          • +3

            @Meovel: Wish it was the AW3821DW :(

            • +1

@cille745: That's more likely tbh since limaaa has said previously that it's a brand new release

              • -1

@ln28909: People are on whirlpool are saying that it's coming in at 2249 with a gsync module, don't know if LiMaaa can do any cheaper than that

                • +2

@cille745: Have I ever given you guys rrp? Smh

      • Any chance of a deal for one with USB-C PD, such as U3419W or U4919DW?

  • Does anyone know if Dell stands are interchangeable?
Have a stand from a U2515H and hoping it will fit on the S2721Q without having to buy the QS model.

    • I think most of them are standard. I have had a lot of luck interchanging Dell stands. The only time I had an issue was when I put an ancient monitor on a new stand. The old monitor was so heavy that the height adjustment would not hold.

    • The QS stand attaches to the back using a quick-release mechanism over the VESA mounting recess. The 2721Q stand attaches near the input ports.

      • +1

They are asking if a normal Dell quick release stand can attached to the Q model vesa mount - it fits but it can't lock in place.

        • Ah OK… It won't. If adjustability is important, the QS is the way to go. It's cheaper than buying the Q and a VESA stand like the AOC H271

    • +1

No it won't fit properly. The normal height adjustable dell stand requires the monitor vesa mount area on the monitor back to have the release button mechanism to lock it in place. The Q model does not have it.

Source: I had a spare new dell stand so I bought the Q. It fit in the vesa hole but wouldn't lock there. I ended up having to buy a separate vesa height adjustable stand, which was more than the price difference between the Q and QS.

  • +2

Hnnnggg - these might have to hold me over until a decent 4K HDMI 2.1 Monitor.

Also, love your efforts on your posts LiMaaa

    • +1

      Awesome and thanks.

  • -1

    Estimated delivery??

    • +2

In the OP, latest is 20th Dec, but like previous deal a majority of you should receive them 1-2 weeks earlier than latest ETA.

      • +10

I would strongly caution against this associate's estimate. I'm still waiting on my S2721QS that I ordered on the 12th of October that had a 5-10 day estimate initially until my order was processed.

I then received a delay notice a few days after the estimated shipping date with the current estimate showing as December 14th. I also paid a lot more than this current deal.

Customer service said they would update me every 2-3 days since inquiring about the delay and this didn't happen. Instead I've received multiple messages asking how I would rate the monitor I haven't received.

        • +2

Sorry to hear about your experience. With our deals generally shipping is locked in with special orders and most receive their products earlier vs later. Hiccups may happen though, may I ask which deal you ordered from if you can link me or dm me and we can find out what's going on with your order?

P.S. If you can include your order number that would be great.

          • @LiMaaa: Can I also DM you my order number for you to check out? I'm in the same boat as Justanother.

        • +1

mine was delivered for more than one month. However this is the best value 4k monitor in Australia (you might like to know how expensive dell is in other countries), with this price you can't really expect more about it or if you cannot wait any longer just ask dell to cancel your order and pay a lot extras for those asus or Samsung's if you need one urgently

          • +2

@johangules: It's great that others haven't had the same experience. As I said, I paid more than this deal for the monitor and value wasn't really an issue, it was more that this monitor had good ratings in the community and I had heard that Dell's customer service was amazing.

Usually I have no problem with waiting if this is communicated clearly, I did need this at a specific time and the notification of the delay only came after the estimated shipping date, by then it was already too late to order in another monitor from elsewhere.

Regardless of price, it doesn't change the fact that the customer service rep didn't update me as they had said they would. Your experience may be different but this was mine and I thought it was worth sharing. EDIT: Just checking my chat log with the previous rep I spoke to, and they said that the current ETA was 24/11/20 but as yet I have had no shipment notification.

            • @Justanother: I'll try to explain simply how it works.

You ordered your monitor from the Dell site, not from any of my past or current deals. Yet negged my deal and cautioned others about trusting my eta. That's not cool.

Generally with my deals we make an immense effort to secure shipments and are transparent about our shipping times, more often then not we stick to our eta(granted hiccups can occur).

When ordering through Dell, there is a default shipping estimate (5-10 days). This was the pre covid average.

Since covid has heavily impacted shipping times with all companies as well as Dell receiving an influx of orders toward specific products (s series) the average shipping time is 20-55 days.

Regarding your customer service experience, sorry to hear it was unpleasant. It appears they did provide you an eta which is 3 days from now. I would suggest waiting until that eta has been met and then contacting them for an accurate update regarding your order if nothing changes.

              • +2

@LiMaaa: Ozbargain's voting guidelines allow negative voting for issues with the retailer or product, who is Dell in this instance. This would be an appropriate use of a neg vote.

I understand that this is probably one of those "hiccups" and from what others have said, I'm probably in the minority, but as I said before, my issues are with a lack of communication, poor customer service, and an inaccurate ETA on this exact monitor from Dell. As I ordered in October, I would be less willing to accept "pre-covid averages" as a reasonable explanation for the lack of a clearly communicated ETA before purchase.

I (and many others obviously) appreciate all the work that you put into your deals but you are still an associate with a company that has something to gain from posting these deals.

                • @Justanother: Certainly, and I'm not questioning that. If you've had a negative experience and would like to share it, by all means do so. However it's imperative that you provide accurate information.

I would strongly caution against this associate's estimate. I'm still waiting on my S2721QS that I ordered on the 12th of October that had a 5-10 day estimate initially until my order was processed.

This comment implies you purchased your monitor on one of my deals, and users shouldn't rely on my shipping ETA based on your experience. However you purchased your monitor separate to my deals, which uses ulterior means of shipping therefore you can't comment on the experience received via my deals nor caution the shipping ETA for my deals.

You should most definitely comment on your experience with a company negative or positive as this is feedback and is helpful. However your lack of transparency in providing accurate information to those reading is what I found unhelpful and is what prompted my response.

I'm glad we cleared it up though. I'll look into your order number and we'll see if we can find out what is going on.

                  • @LiMaaa: Apologies if that was the implication, I was not previously aware that you have the means to secure ulterior means shipment for Ozbargainers buying through this deal, despite purchasers going through eBay and utilising the same publicised promo code available on the eBay store.

To be clear for future readers, I did not purchase this monitor through one of LiMaaa's deals. I purchased through the Dell website during one of their sales.

        • +1

I got mine relatively quickly, so I don't think it's a universal experience.

  • How much is the S2721DGF going to be?

    • +1

LiMaaa can't tell us, but he did say it'll be the cheapest ever. If we use this deal and the S2721D as reference, the discounted prices are at 52-54% of original price.
So $799 x 54% = approximately $430 maybe? Personally, I'd be happy if it's below $500, but definitely won't complain if they give us more!

Good luck :) There's gonna be a lot of us gunning for it.

      • +1

that is sub $450 and i was negged so I don't think your prediction is accurate

        • +5

Over 500, sub 450… Why can't we meet in the middle and all just be friends ;)

          • +1

@LiMaaa: Reads between the lines… $475 it is!

            • @polkatta: The way i read the sentence, it did not say over 450, sub 500.

        • Ya, it's pure speculation on my part. It's nice to dream, right? xD

      • how does this compare (i know its 32inch)

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/583060?utm_source=subscrip…

  • +2

    Thank you LiMaaa

  • FYI the refresh rate in the item specs on eBay shows 75hz. I think that is wrong

    • I believe it's 60hz, I wonder if you can overclock it with dp?

      • +1

Question was asked via reddit, guy responded with "At full 4K resolution the refresh rate will not go over 60 Hz no matter what. Was able to go up to 85 Hz on all other resolutions"

        https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/jvql49/is_the_del…

So yes it's over-clockable, just not on 4k.

        • Thank you for clarifying that.

  • +3

Hi LiMaaa, I bought this exact monitor off the Dell website in mid October and it STILL hasn't shipped. When is this allocation expected to ship?

    • It's mentioned in OP, we could see shipments received as soon as the 1st week of Dec, but that depends on your purchase time and place in queue.

    • +1

i ordered at that last ozbargain deal, received mine yesterday

  • Not sure how 27" and 4K goes, might be too small with 100% scaling but am tempted. Scored the 2K 27" on the last deal. Hard decision with the 75hz on the 2K :(

    • +1

Goes well with 150% scaling. Got 2 27" 4K displays in the house

    • Can you overclock the monitor?

    • Like others said you need 32 inch for 4K…..minimum

    • +1

I'd say get a 32". 27 is much too small. Scaling it would really kill the real estate

  • 4k 27". Wow I can't imagine how that looks like. I'm so curious now.

    • +7

Apparently too small? 32 seems better for 4k

      • -1

that what I would have thought…

        • +2

You run it scaled at 125% or 150%, so text/gfx are sharper but the effective screen real estate is like a 1440p monitor.

This is exactly what phones and tablets have done for donkey's years (ie they never run 1:1). PC users always seem to think monitors have to be run at 1:1!?
