I hope there are some Sony WH-1000XM4 for a reasonable price.

    • I heard there is. Less than $300.

    • -1

      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/233782037562?hash=item366e7ecc3a…
the headphone itself is not that good…

      • Why? Everyone on ozbargain seems to speak highly of them?

        • +2

Just goes to show you can ask different people and get different answers, there's a distinct lack of objectivity.

I have the xm3s and I think they are great for sound quality, but I don't live in the realm of 3 to 500 dollar headphones. For me that's just a crazy amount of money to spend. I picked up the xm3 for under 200 and my only complaint is they don't do the multi connection thing well, but that's not an issue for many ppl. I heard that's fixed with he xm4

        • I have read that although they're good, they're not as good as the previous model (the WH-1000XM3). I can't recall whether that was in regards to sound quality, noise cancelling, or comfort. I'm sure however the difference is likely small and subjective, so still probably a good buy

          • @mingofmongo: You're the first person I have heard that from. My guess is it wasn't comfort, they look identical. Connectivity on the xm4 is better from my minimal research so probably not that. I don't know why they would make a new model and go backwards, although I am sure its happened before

            • +4

@Jackson: With XM4 you get the advantage of multipoint connection but lose Aptx … so its good for Apple users but not so good for Android users

        • Mostly because of the specs and ANC. If all you know in terms of sound quality are these, then you'll think they're great, but there are much better sounding cans out there.

        • Have the product. My only gripe is it can feel hot (lack of ventilation) after a while..anyone else experiencing the same?

        • XM3 owner here.

Both XM3 and XM4 support LDAC, the highest quality codec available today. It only works on Android phones, meaning that Apple users get AAC which is lower quality (but still ok). aptX is used on Windows 10 and if you WFH and listen to music on your laptop, you'll only get a terrible sounding SBC codec. This is why I did not buy XM4 and never will unless MS starts supporting LDAC (which Sony has given to Google for free to include in Android 9 and higher OS)

About XM4. My work colleague has them and uses it on the same Windows 10 Lenovo laptop and OS build. Frequently, in calls we hear "Darth Vader voice". Either it's a fault with his set or that's what XM4 sound on MS teams. One more reason not to buy XM4. The choice is yours.

      • +1

You're right, they're not. (XM3 owner, same sound as XM4).
Excellent ANC, but sound quality is low end. Literally.

        • Agreed. If the sound quality is a priority, go Sennheiser Momentum 3 but these are much more expensive (I got one at JB for $300 during the recent deal). It will be fine for most people I guess.

          • @elektron: beyerdynamic ANC lagoon have slightly worse ANC than the sony but better sound quality, i think they are supposedly the best sound quality in this price range for ANC headphones. i got some for 250 (on sale) a little while ago and i like them. my favourite part is the battery life, its way more than the others that it is usually compared against.

      • not really good for outdoors / activities.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/608269#comment-10174695

    • I kind of regretted getting the XM3 back in 2018 on a whim, especially for ~$258 because it showed up on OzB and I was weak…

But, I use them fairly regularly with/versus airpods pro when travelling, and they're used/kept with my ipad/Tab S6. I'd recommend the XM4, but only if you get a sub $300 deal. If I was buying again, it'd be the XM4 or the massdrop "panda" BT headphones, probably. Maybe.

IDK. The eBay deal may be useful to some retailers. Perhaps, Wait and see how other EOFYS deals pan out.

      • With Sony Headphones your bound to have slight issues at the 1 year mark. Mine the hinges started to creak.. Pitty since I loved the ANC but might be better to get closed cans like the custom one pro's I guess. Something that lasts.

  • Any bargains?

My best mate eligible is back

  • +16

my post was removed as no bargains - yet dealbot's post stays up ……..

    • +2

      +1 for this comment.

      • +1 for this comment.
Other posts were also removed for the same reason.

Yes, one of the removed posts were made by dealbot themselves.

Users who posted this yesterday were told, and I will paste it again, as I did yesterday:

"Eligible item deals in advance are no good, without examples or specific sellers."

This deal has an example item in it ("Sample item from Edisons"). As DooDah has mentioned.

        • +2

Deals were not obtainable until the deal is live and the sample could have been removed as well as often happens on eBay.
Please have one of the mods post deals like this (where several people try to post it and they all get removed) in the future so there is no bad blood.
Would it have hurt anybody to wait 10 minutes until 10am to post the deal? I do not believe somebody was going to buy this sample item? No.
Why was it posted 10 minutes before the start? There were other people who posted the deal yesterday (see Maglia Nera and other people)…I leave you to draw your own conclusion.

          • @Lysander:

the sample could have been removed as well as often happens on eBay.

Incorrect, the text is in the eBay listing and set up for the promotion.

Please have one of the mods post deals like this (where several people try to post it and they all get removed) in the future so there is no bad blood.

Yeah that would go down really well, members posts are removed but moderators post the same thing and it is kept published. If you/members have bad blood or overly competitive behaviour towards another member, that is for you/them to resolve/rectify.

Why was it posted 10 minutes before the start? There were other people who posted the deal yesterday (see Maglia Nera and other people)

Again, Dealbot posted the deal yesterday (and it was removed), along with another member. Maglia Nera posted it 3 days ago. All 3 were removed for insufficient details, eligible item deal with no example items or stores. Why and when and who it was posted by is irrelevant to us. You can see all this in their post history.

I am here to call out the accusation/conspiracy theory of favouritism and we will continue to do so.

            • +3

@hamza23: And why did you not simply tell Maglia to include a sample item and you republish his/her deal? Simple solution.
That would have been fair as he is the one who found it first.
And finally prohibit the use of bots, and scrapers - make it fair for everybody.

              • @Lysander: Republishing an unpublished deal from 3 days ago is a very bad solution (no one will see it), we always tell users to re-submit it as a new deal once it is complying, as anyone is free to do so.

                • @hamza23: Republishing an unpublished deal from 3 days ago is a very bad solution (no one will see it)

I agree with you here 100% but of course I did not mean after three days. How can you believe that is what I meant? Of course I mean at the point of time when you unpublished it (not after three days), then you could have told Maglia to simply add a sample deal and then either you could have republished it or Maglia could have published it as a new deal?
But thank you for the answer anyway. Much appreciated.

                  • -1

                    @Lysander:

Republishing an unpublished deal from 3 days ago is a very bad solution (no one will see it)

Why not? Highlight for as long as it’s needed for everyone to see it. Then highlight throughout the day.

    • dealbot has example of bargains

      • But it's Edison's so not a bargain at all

      • they deals/code were not live when it was posted, so according to the rules post should've been removed as "insufficent details blah blah blah"

anyway, seems like there's a rule for some and another for everyone else …

        • I kind of agree with the last part.

  • +3

    "Eligible Items" Urgh

  • +4
  • +1

Nope. No deal for me and my ineligible items.

  • +1

    any airpods pros?

    • +1

I recently heard these only last 18 months to 3 years before needing a battery replacement. Makes them even more expensive than they are

      • +7

People that buy Apple really don't care too much about price.

        • They should care about repairability though, which apparently these are just another item that doesn't last long and isn't easy to repair

          • +3

@Jackson: Not really, People who spend alot on price, don't really care about repairability because they're not going to waste their time repairing it. They would make sure their warranty and extra warranty are in order as well as insurances and consumer rights are in order.

            • +2

@sunnyc: I get that, but the reason they should care is to minimise landfill, something we all should care about (and Apple sells themselves as a socially conscious business)

      • Curious, how long do you think earbuds should last?
How many people would not update after three years anyway?
And after three years, how unusable are they really even if the battery is down to 80% original capacity?
And how much would it cost to replace the batteries, if it were an option, as opposed to getting a nice, new, non grunged up pair?

I reckon this is one of those bull memes that seem to accrete to Apple products and never apply similarly to any other company.

        • My partner has been using a pair of Marley headphones for 5 years, they cost way less than the ear pods. She's also got a pair of open backs that she uses for recording which she's had for about 20 years, they still serve their purpose and because they are only used in the studio they are still perfect. I personally have earphones that I still use that are 7 or 8 years old. If I like a pair I use them until they break, and if really like them I'll try to repair them e.g. if they broke at the plug, otherwise I might repurpose them if it's possible (integrate headphones into my motorcycle helmet for instance). It seems like I can't do that with these, or it's a lot harder at least, maybe for no good reason?

          • @Jackson: They are wireless?
Or maybe on the spectrum of things there will be people using their AirPods for multiple years too, but most won’t, upgrading long before the battery becomes an issue.

            • @entropysbane: Plenty of wireless devices are easy to repair or repurpose by the average interested consumer. I am not in the market for Apple devices for all sorts of reasons, but plenty of people online have singled out the airpods as a device which will have a particularly short life cycle and then be uneconomical at the least to repair. We should all be moving the other way

    • Nope. There's only one listing for Max, jacked ALL THE WAY UP TO $916 🤣
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393057609686?hash=item5b840f27d6

  • +4

    MF
    they jacked everything!

  • +15

what a dud sale. the sellers jack it up, not that Id get this but was $799 20 days ago. now $1099 with ebay plus deal $879. such a big saving! pffst.
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/154343729065?var=&hash=item23ef9…

im getting my ebay plus membership refunded what a joke.

  • Gaming chair with Humanity adjustment and Virgin cotton AU $86.39

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/133633918085?hash=item1f1d33c485

    • +1

Don’t get these, they are terrible for your back. Get a chair that you can adjust the back rest for. In the long run, your back is going to love you for a good chair that you bought, not a crappy one.

  • I still haven’t worked out how to search these deals. Any good e-scooters?

  • +2

XM4's under 1/3 the price of Airpods Max
    LMAO

    • But they don’t have a bra case.

      • +1

        Raid your wives panty drawer?

  • +1

Annnnd nothing in my watch list is cheaper. In fact the tablets was watching are almost $100 more than they were a month ago despite not even in promos!

  • +2

Couldn't miss this deal. I just had to sign up for free trial for the 10th time with my 20+ burner email addresses. Thanks OP!

  • -8

Ebay charged me $50 for an annual ebay plus membership and refused to refund it even though I haven't used it or placed any orders. Literally the worst company, using a scam-like process.

Avoid like the plague and never pay for a membership. They've already got enough profitting off charging a 1 year membership fee for people who sign up for a free 1 month trial, don't even bother using it, and forget to cancel

    • +7

Just because you havent used it doesnt mean ebay have to refund you. You obviously must've subscribed on your own on the basis that you'll use it someday.

      • +2

Yer so I'm thinking he must of signed up to a 30 day trial period to get some free delivery on something he was buying. Then forgot to cancel the trial and got signed up.

Imagine literally giving Ebay your credit card details, then complaining when they charge it 30 days later lol.

    • +4

Not that this helps your situation but I almost had the same experience with Amazon. But unlike eBay, I simply went on to the website and asked for a refund of subscription as I didn't purchase anything, almost a couple of months after becoming a prime member, and it was all approved and settled in the one session. Just by their cancellation process, not even had to chat. Don't know how it is now, but at the time I was impressed! Too bad eBay can't match that kind of service.

    • +1

Why should they refund you? It's like ordering a pizza and not eating it, should the pizza store have to refund you?

    • How do you think eBay funds these sales? By people such as yourself forgetting to cancel after the "trial" - its essentially free money for them.

  • I am waiting for a good deal.

  • Was hoping the Aftershocks Aeropex would be discounted but the 2 eBay plus sellers, and other non-plus sellers I see in my search won't apply the code. Anyone else looking for the Aeropex?

  • +7

When a 10% mid week sale ends up being far better than a 20% special weekend sale lol.

    • Typical ebay fail.

      • it depends on the saler as well I think, some saler increase the price when this special applies.

  • +1

Anyone know if the Xiaomi A9 pulls up carpet using the large soft brush powerhead ? I got mine two days ago, I've probably vacuumed my floors 5 times so far with it and every time I get a full bin without much effort. My last session did seem to take a little longer to fill up but Im wondering if the dust fluff is actually pulled up carpet ?

    • +4

No mate, your floors are friggin filthy

      • +1

Well I do have a crap powerhead on my original vac maybe thats why. so far sucked up half a plastic shopping bag of fluff and dust which doesnt seem to stop :P

  • Warehouse style shelving could be a deal. Seems to be mostly 30cm depth shelving, but it includes postage so could be useful to somebody.

And the Ender3 V2 is probably a deal at under $300 local stock. As well as the Ender 5 for $330.
Anyone wants to post, feel free, just leave my name out of it.

    • 23 June shipping, makes me think its not local

  • Can I stack this promo with the $50 off for joining eBay+ coupon?

    • Yea the Coupon acts as a gift card.
