At least something is happening .

    • Hey I’m not associated I’m in the same boat as all of you, still waiting on my slippers.

  • tracking appeared on my auspost account "It’s being prepared From Doctor Proctors"

  • As a customer or consumer why do we have to go through such a phase just to get a simple item?is this how businesses should be operating I doubt that in any circumstances we reserve the right to receive a refund and everything looks like fraud.

  • Just received a tracking no. from the good doctor!.

  • +1

I'm glad I got a tracking number, happy at least there's some progress.

Communication have been disappointing, didn't get any updates until I followed up with BAN on 5 August and the reply wasn't even from BAN, it was a cut and paste from Dave/Dr Proctor.

That soured the experience hence the neg vote, can only learn and hope they do better next time (not quite ready to burn them at the stake yet).

  • +1

I have the deck chair out in the driveway.

I will be awaiting the Australia Post man every second of the day. (Pitch Fork out)

  • Has anyone NOT received their tracking number?

  • +8

Buy Aussie Now could learn a thing or two from 4hunters. Biltong for $50 kg and no bs no stock https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/642521

  • I've got my tracking number too!

  • Mines been added to my AusPost account with expected delivery Monday to Wednesday next week. So basically a whole month for delivery. This jerky better be damn good.

  • Tracking number says its coming straight from Dr Proctor, not buy Aussie now.

Do they have 2000 PS5 units to sell ?

  • +3

Got an auspost notification saying the jerky has just been processed, but its been processed in Brisbane QLD, I thought OP said Dave was from Northcote VIC, lol.

    • on sellers

    • Update as I think auspost is just glitchin out as the 8:31pm update originally said the item was processed again at Bris but now its been changed.

      https://www.dropbox.com/s/h6pcxl8sup1939r/firefox_YFeQibqko7…

      • The screenshot states that the package is in transit from Brisbane to South-East Melbourne. What on earth?

        • +1

Yeah its curious aint it? Northcote isn't too far from me as I also live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne so if lockdown wasn't on, I could've just picked up from Dr Proctors on my way home from work. Next day delivery could've been expected if it was being shipped from inside Melbourne to another suburb nearby.

    • Thought I saw one message stating delays were a result of waiting for packaging to be sent to Brisbane.

    • -3

Dave is in northcote, his factory is in Brisbane.

      • +9

        ???

Some orders have already been shipped and David is busy shipping orders every day from his warehouse in Northcote Victoria.

Factory in Brisbane or warehouse in Northcote?

        • +1

          maybe its Briscote?…or Northbane?
…nothing suss with all these origin stories at all…. /s

        • Easy his factory in Bris ships to David in Vic then he posts them out .

        • Or was it subcontractor factory in Brisbane used to produce meat somehow in a hurry ?
Or jerky came from Asia (that's why the delay) , and meat is sourced not from the aussie grass cows, but from skinny old ex-milk cows ?

          Too many why and or

        • another lie to add to the list

      • +1

        Revealing more lies i see…

  • The question is what if you do charge back and then you get the items in the future?

    • They most probably will refuse the chargeback, and then it is up to you if you want to continue fighting it.

  • My beef jerky is getting delivered today.

  • +4

    Mine just got delivered today.

    Ordered 2 x 500g packs. Received 1 x 450g pack. Have requested a partial refund.

    Absolute shambles

    • +2

can you please DM me your order number, I need to get straight on to this

      • Thanks. Looks like it should be resolved quickly.
Dave will send out the missing jerky today.

    • Are you in QLD by chance?

I'm QLD so hopeful that delivery might be quick. However I've only got the 'it's being prepared' notification from AusPost, so probably not.

Good luck with the refund as they have refused to process refunds thus far.

    • SNAFU

    • -2

Sorry which company did you purchase from? Dr proctor doesnt manufacture 450g bags?

    • Is this legit? Any chance you can upload a pic?

    • +4

That's what I am afraid of. With so many orders, there is a high chance of a mistake.

    • Are you located in QLD? My tracking is still showing processing :(

  • I though I had head aches .
Looks like OP going to have major ones .

its not all orders, its just a mistake in sending,

  • -1

We have been told its a one off mistake, please update me.

    • -1

The customer has been contacted and missing jerky sent

    • +5

A Once of mistake? Shall we wait just a little longer?

Probably 1% have received.. Let's give it a few hours or a day or two…

      • -1

This issue has been resolved with the customer, if any others pop up I will resolve them as quickly as I can.

    • Can you guarantee that?I think that won't be the last of missing orders. There already enough issues .

      • I can guarantee that ill fix any issue that comes along the best I can.

        • Your credibility and guarantee is starting to become worthless. You had personally guaranteed me over the phone I would receive Jerky this week. My jerky hasn't even been posted.

          • -1

@OZcheepsk8: Sent this week, people have started to receive. I'm relying on a 3rd party to ship. If you've received an email it has been shipped as Auspost doesn't scan packages when they pick up in the thousands until after they reach depot.

            • -1

@Buy Aussie Now: Fair enough, but will I receive it today given it hasn't reached depot? This was your guarantee - delivery this week.

  • Ya’ll need to chillax

    • +1

this deal was posted on 19/07/2021…its now 13/8/21 and the product is only starting to be shipped!
      of course people are irate

  • +4

Got the AusPost notification yesterday but upon checking today it still says "It's being prepared". At this rate it's probably not gonna get here (if it ever does) until late next week given it's being shipped out of Brisbane. Now also seeing someone not receiving their order correctly - FFS! Hands down the most frustrating experience purchasing something.

    • Mine too, I think they are shipping some and just buying time by inputting our shipping details in the database. Most likely to shipped next week or later today.

      • +1

not at all! when auspost picks up in the thousands they dont scan the packages until they are in depot.

        • I see, thanks for explaining

          • @RobBoss: we are very sorry for the wait time but we are pleased its in the mail!

            • +3

@Buy Aussie Now: TBH I have gone several stages of emotion over some jerky… I was a bit irritated by this fiasco at first but after some thoughts, I'm starting to drop my pitchfork. Will I buy from BAN again? Perhaps, because at the core, you guys are indeed supporting local businesses.

But hopefully, BAN can communicate better in the future. Surely you are as tired as we are over this.

If this was a backorder deal with an estimated ETA of 1 to 2 months, no one would have complained. All in all, people are generally forgiving after some extended period of time. All the best really.

              • @RobBoss: Same view, but its less about communication and more about accountability and transparency - and less promises you can't keep

  • +1

Looks like MyPost (Australia Post Tracking App) is down just to top it off.

  • +1

    Just received my order (Brisbane).

    • got exactly what you ordered?

      • +1

Some of the packaging did not look the same but product descriptions matched.

        • -1

thanks, if you can also comment on quality once you dig into it. Thats what I was most concerned about.

          • +1

@OZcheepsk8: Definitely better than supermarket Jerky, I'm not at all disappointed with it. Not as good as US & Canada Jerky though, they really know how to do good Jerky.

            • @Destin: much appreciated. I feel more confident with the purchase already!

        • Did you weight them? ;)

          • @Hellcrusher3304: No, sorry, I'm not that fussed. Looks like a lot of jerky for one man to consume. That's enough for me.

    • My tracking still shows 'preparing', is yours updated? I'm in brisbane too (southside)

      • It may have been stuck on 'preparing' (now says delivered). I wouldn't be surprised if yours arrives today as well.

        • Alright thanks. Fingers crossed, I need my jerky!

  • Just a heads up Australia Post has several services still currently down including inc Tracking and Parcel Send.

  • Can someone post a photograph of their received jerky?

I gave in the other day and bought a large packet of jerky from Woolies. I could not wait any longer

  • Just received my order (QLD). Thanks OP!

    • +1

Mine still says preparing your order :(

Did you get an update before you received your order? I don't think I'll receive my order this week…

      • I didn't receive mine yet but got a notification from AusPost the parcel is in Sydney already. I should get it on Monday.

        • Mine still shows "It's being prepared. We'll let you know when it's on its way – usually within 3 business days – and when to expect delivery."

I don't even know if I will receive mine on monday. I have a feeling it hasn't been shipped out yet…

          • @j0hnd0e: Sorry, it is a different package. Mine is also "It's being prepared. We'll let you know when it's on its way – usually within 3 business days – and when to expect delivery."

          • @j0hnd0e: Still being prepared means it hasn't even been shipped. Mines the same status.
Weekened now so they won't even ship it until next week so who knows when it will arrive.

        • +2

Nah. I didn’t get any notifications from auspost.
I was surprised it turned up today.

          • @hkflame: Is 3x 100g packs bilton or jerky?

            • @j0hnd0e: Tasty curry - Biltong
              Smokin Good - Jerky
              Smokin Hot - Jerky

I wonder if there’s any difference between them. I Might try them out in the next few days

              • +1

@hkflame: Biltong and jerky is different. Smoking good and smoking hot is supposed to be biltong. Looks like Doctor proctor f-Ed up everyone's order.

                • +1

@j0hnd0e: …or they took the cheaper and quicker way out. Biltong takes longer to make and generally costs more.

  • Hey OP, I just received mine.

However, out of the 3 x 100g packages, 2 of them are "jerky" instead of "biltong".
Is this a mistake as the product image shows "biltong" on the package, but mine clearly shows "jerky" for the "SMKIN GOOD" and "SMOKIN HOT" 100g packets.

Reading some other comments suggests that Biltong is better than Jerky.

    • +6

      prepares popcorn

      • +8

just gets better & better….wish i had some jerky to munch while i read this…
        wait…i didnt order any.
wait…even if i did it wouldnt be here.
wait….even if it was here it may or may not be jerky / biltong.
this is all getting a bit confusing………..

        • +1

I'm involved not only because I ordered some but also this has been a great source of non-covid drama and I needs me entertainment.

    • they don't even sell 100g bags of jerky lol only 30g

Looks like a mistake. Smokin good and smokin hot seems to be jerky, not biltong.

Edit: name says jerky but image shows biltong… not sure
