Most of the retailers have already revealed their sale items and prices to their email subscribers. I've yet to see a single in-demand item at an unusual price.

Althought that said, Ozbargain is probably more price savvy than the general population. Judging by ClickFrenzy's facebook activity there will probably be plenty of sales carried through by the hype alone.

    • The facebook crowd will swarm like angry bees just to be part of it.

  • DSE 300x Wii (whites) - $98
Thats before the staff put away 299 of them.

  • +1

Teds cameras, $100 off DSLRs if you spend over $900. What a joke, they are at least $200 overpriced anyway
    :(

  • mwave decided to jump the gun 10 mins early.. site is instabogged with nothing that great

  • One minute before show time and it looks like the click frenzy site is grinding to a halt!

  • Click Frenzy site is already hammered

  • +5

Is it just me? Their website feels a bit slow at the moment…

    • Same here. I saw the countdown at 11 seconds and then it refreshed and hasn't come back!

  • its before 7pm and I already can't get on the site

  • +4

The site is dead. Reminds me of those CoTD sales. Hopeless!!

  • Nah, tried the second the countdown went to 0 and can't get on either

  • +2

    The whole internets are melting!

  • +1

    and….. it's down

  • +1

trolololol. How did I KNOW this was gonna happen? :P

  • +7

500 Errors on here too. THE INTERNET IS COLLAPSING! lol

    • +2

Our webserver running out of connections — should be fixed now.

Currently there are 2300 HTTP connections doing 225 requests per second.

      • They should all be using amazon aws during this period. International links might be slow but at least they will have the capacity to serve customers. I hate these last second deals with 5 things priced at 90% off. It never works as planned.

        • +1

Amazon AWS opened their Sydney DC with EC2 and S3 just a few days ago…

        • I know, but it's more expensive. Just use US West and all is fine.

  • +4

    Click Frenzy's site is down.

Did the retailers actually get anything out of this fiasco other than the right to attach the words "Click Frenzy" to their advertisements? I feel sorry for the stores that paid for this.

    • Wonder if they have any SLA's? :P

  • Its 7pm and the site has already crashed. Cannot connect!

  • "Australia.. I am disappoint."

  • +3

    Blizzard must've made this website.

  • +2

    Unsurprisingly, it's down.

  • +2

I'm getting 500 errors here. Click Frenzy broke the entire Internets.

  • Epic Fail! Must be using the same servers as catch of the day!

    • +1

they use the same hosting site

  • DUmbasses, they made the page auto refresh at 7pm. Adding more load than they needed to.

  • I am used to watching circles going round and round………COTD Mk 2

  • +1

LMAO fail hahahahaha. Oh man, people are going to be mad today.

  • +1

Well, they wanted an audience - it looks like they got that. Now it's their turn to deliver!

Someone might need to change the subject heading to MASSIVE FAIL

  • +10

What was the point of registering for this event?

It only asked for an e-mail address and a mobile number, it didn't even ask you to choose a password.

For those who have actually managed to access the Click Frenzy website during the sale, what is the process involved in taking advantage of an offer?

Seems like a scam to harvest e-mail addresses and mobile numbers.

Surely Australian retailers could just start advertising discounted prices on their own websites without the need for something like this.

    • No emails arriving either it seems! EDIT: Fixed.

    • i didn't recieve an email from them, but i put a fake mobile number :)

  • +1

    I got through.

    Gotcha. If only.

  • +4

They should have had the COTD disclaimer..'don't be mad with us…….even if there is only one ipad for sale….."

  • Website is getting SMASHED!!!

  • +4

dick smith page refuses to load

Edit: There's nothing good anyway, don't bother

  • They host with Crazy Domains?

Surely after the Grays debacle a few weeks ago they would've learnt.

    • Pamela was offering her services as a bonus for signing up :P

  • +7

Makes an Air Asia sale look positively awesome.

  • +3

And their Facebook page is already having people chucking insults at them…

  • What a flop! Click frenzy and kogan down. Can't wait to read the news on this one "Click frenzy a giant piece of doggie doo" lol

  • Myers website is struggling bad

  • I can see all that extra money they spent to put on extra servers worked wonders….

  • +6

    anticlimactic much?

  • +1

Between the cotd debacle and the clickfrenzy failed takeoff, it's been a day full of non-fulfillment, yet can't help but laugh about the whole situation.

The one's who are laughing are the websites though, these guys would have made a lot of moolah regardless and a huge amount of awareness for their sites/events.

  • +2

Brilliant programming has the site using my computer's clock to work out the time. Since I'm in WA, apparently the sale will start in just under 3 hours.

  • +1

waste of time! all major retail sites down too. let riot out side!

  • And Ch9 just advertised it again as the top story on ACA - so now another 10,000 people are trying to get on!!!

  • +1

And yet here in Brisbane countdown still says 54 minutes. Clearly can't handle different time zones!!

  • I got the DSE Wii for $98 + $9.95 shipping. Anybody want it? Girlfriend doesn't want me to get it (ggrrr).

    • we just gave ours away, I dont think its been used yet lol

    • Unless you're really desperate for one, I don't see why you would get it. Prices have been dropping for ages now. The next generation is already out in the US aswell.

    • You'll struggle to break even selling on Ebay (incl P&P)

  • And todays phrase is "Problem loading page"

  • lol toysrus

  • +1

According to their fb page, "thousands are already buying" what???

  • "Click Frenzy" must refer to the refresh/reload button (obviously not product listings for paid sponsor ads). Even google doesn't know what their refreshed home page looks like.

  • +7

The countdown represents the time before their website crashes. lol

    • Haha. Yeah, I reckon!

  • Page wont load. No surprises there.

  • Added links to Target and Masters deals above for those trying to get onto those websites

    • Myer link is going to Masters. Did you do that? (oops)

  • Click frenzy = Crash frenzy!

  • Use the google cache page

  • And they said theres no queues when shopping online!

  • That's it, I'm calling ACA! Oh wait, they've already paid for an advertorial on it, so that's not gonna work!

  • Toysrus over capacity, myer & dse not even loading. Isn't this just fun.

  • +2

    WOAH, they got a fanpage - https://www.facebook.com/ClickFrenzyFail

  • +1

Myer deals can be had here, it's loading fine.

    http://shop.myer.com.au/shop/mystore/au-men-r-4/click-frenzy

  • +1

Is it just me, or are none of the deals I've been able to actually load really any good? :/

  • Click Fail

  • LOL clickFAIL.

What do we do, just go to the websites without clicking through?
Nice to be kicked off at 7PM. That was interesting.

  • lol.
sorry Australia wannabe online retailers. try harder next time. black friday/cyber monday isn't just about slapping a few HTML code onto some web servers and bob's your uncle.

    • Nor are lousy offers that are worse or, at best, as good as you normally do. "Doorbusters" are illegal, but there are no doors on the internet!

  • +38

This is awesome - got onto the Myer site and bought a Moran leather longe for $110, chopped across to Dick Smith and Bought an iPhone for $55, went to Target and bought up big there as well ………. then the wife woke me up and told me dinner was ready.

    • +6

      He's dreamin'! Dinner's not ready yet. :-)

    • Shift worker?

  • what a flop, there aren't even any good deals and all most of the websites won't even load

I wish this was submitted as a bargain. I want to see how many -ve this would get :)

  • +12

Most boring CYBER sale ever…..time outs everywhere. Only OzBargain can satisfy my discount needs 365 days of the year!

  • Anaconda's can be viewed on their webpage in a red "24 hour deal" box.
