  • Things still don't seem to work properly.

Clicked to pay and the page just got stuck on this screen. Eventually it said that something went wrong and to see if I get an email with a receipt for my purchase if it was successful. The email came soon afterwards.

  • +1

    Ebay is still stuffed.

I paid this morning and all seems fine until I get this ebay email -

"Sorry, we were not able to process your PayPal payment for AU $128.39 for one or more items."

So I checked paypal and everything is ok/paid for, payment status is "Completed" on all items???

Yet on Ebay, all the items are still in my shopping cart and none are registered on Ebay as paid???

  • I spent about $1200 yesterday but even though my items are all showing as paid (2 items are already marked as shipped) & paypal has receipts for all purchases, no money has come out of the linked bank account.

    • +1

      what you buy?

      • +2

64gb 1+1, 64gb mini retina, an iPod nano for my mum, a years supply of hard muk & some cases and screen protectors to get my totals closer to $666. None of which I need :-)

        • i was thinking of getting 64gb 1+1

though not sure if wait for nexus 6,

          also 1+1 is chinese version
it has chinese branding on the back

and not sure about frequency band difference or quality

    • In Paypal did you choose pay after delivery by any chance?

      • I've never even seen that option so it's unlikely, unless it's on by default in the checkout process on eBay as this is the first time I've ever used the basket system.

  • Renovating my house, AND looked up specified items on eBAY and bought a $1000 worth of light fittings (in 2 transactions) and saved $150.Keep in mind if renovating, lots of stuff can be found in eBAY.

    • +10

Lots of stuff which doens't comply with Australian Standards can be found on eBay, so be careful and make sure they all follow Australian Standards or else you maybe voiding any House Insurances you have.

    • +1

You just reminded me I needed more hard muk from eBay, thanks!

  • +1

Was thinking of buying a pair of QC25 that were selling for $360, but their all sold out, so i managed to save my money for once. Have bought around $110 worth of things, mainly just cables, chargers etc. Keep forgetting to use cash rewards though, but in this instance would have gotten only $1.8 so no big loss.

    • +1

Good thing it "sold out" the guy has none to sell to start with. He gave me a call today apologising, he says bose is out of stock and it won't be arrive until mid-end oct.

      • same here, i also received a call, decided to wait, I will travel overseas on dec, so TRS for saving around $30 :)

      • Same thing happened to me, but I said I was ok to wait till October to receive it…
I saw this one though which is selling 2 for $760 making it $20 more each than the other deal.
        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BOSE-QuietComfort-25-Noise-Cancel…

Anyone in Sydney want to split this one with me, let me know.

EBay has the nerve to email me saying it ends tonight and that I should get on now haha…

  • Just purchase 8 items. But only paid for 7 items.

Different emails say different things. Paypal said i paid for 7 items. Ebay says i paid for 8. In my ebay it shows only 7 items. But when going to the missing item, it say i bought one already. Go to bank page and only been deducted the 7 items.

The last item is less then 50. So can't get discount on its own. Damn!

  • Only a small order, nothing major I needed,

How do people find the price of SSD's via Ebay? Was tempted to get one for a hDD case I brought but compared to the price of Shipped units on Amazon just didn't feel too good of a deal :/

  • anyone seen a good basic 15" laptop for about $400 from reputable dealer??

  • +1

Nice one ebay.. Even tho I really can't afford it I jumped on a secondhand Sigma 35mm 1.4 art lens for $650.. Discount was $99.95, so effectively a $950 lens for $565 :)

    • haha was that you? Was looking for one as well since all the ~$750 brand new ones were gone and only the $900+ ones are left.

      • Yeah.. that was me :) I was after a canon mount and the only ones I could find were $950ish..

    • I bought a new one. $669 with sigma authorized dealer invoice. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SIGMA-35mm-F1-4-DG-HSM-ART-SERIES…

      • Nice price.. no canon mount tho :(

      • Snap… got the same one :)

      • Yeah I needed a canon one, for some reason they were all gone from dcexpert before last week.

  • need more ideas of stuffs to buy..

    • +4

so much to buy so little money

      • like what?

      • +3

        Typical OzBargainer life story.

  • Just got a 4TB HDD for $178 - Couldnt help myself

  • so many things i want to buy but all different currencies and is waste if i don't get near $660ish since limited to 3 tries lol Selected kogan iphone 6 and sony attachable smartphone camera lense. Would really like Xperia Z3 but only found a US pre-order.

  • I still cant decide on which phone phone to buy, a 1+1 64Gb blk or Z1 compact blk or S4 mini….
I using a Sony X10 mini pro atm, good phone but bugger all memory (less than 300mb,lol) and a bit small when using maps or browsing.

I'm not a big phone user, but not sure how I would go with the big 1+1.
Which one would you go for?

    • +1

Check out the Xiaomi mi3. As powerful, but cheaper and smaller than the 1+1, and a reputable phone. Xperia z1 also good value, better value than the compact one IMO.

      • Thanks,
I did have one on my watch/wish list, but not sure how their quality are like, have there been any issues with its build or any other issues?

How many versions are there for this phone?, I will be using Optus 3G/4G.

Im a bit confused (not hard, lol) but I see at least 1 ebay seller that states it has a MicroSD slot, while others dont mention it. Eg. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Xiaomi-M3-Mi3-64GB-Quad-Core-Andr…

Am I right in thinking that this & 1+1 phones have no mSD slot?
I prefer to have that feature, so I can use my few mSD for fast swapping of media/music than stuffing around with OTG/usb.

        • +1

It's supposed to be a good quality phone, very popular in China. It supports multiple bands, including optus 3g on 900mhz and 2100mhz. 4g should be fine, I think. Neither phone have SD slot, which for me unfortunately was a deal breaker, so I went for an xperia z1 instead.

  • Dumb question of the year: Have online stores taken down Apple products for this sale?

I know it's probably been answered/discussed here but I don't have time to go back and read 17 pages of comments lol.

Thanks to anyone who can kindly answer :) (wasn't at all planning to get an iPad but my dad suddenly mentioned that he'd like one lol)

    • not sure, but Kogan's iPhone 6 Plus listings seemed to be limited to 20 per colour and sold out. it is kind of funny they don't have the bigger sizes yet, as it would exceed the GST/tax free threshold.

  • +13

    Been extended to midnight Tuesday

    • nice!
Just checked - "2. This offer commences at 10:00 (AEST) on 14 September 2014 and ends at 23:59 (AEST) on 16 September 2014 (“Offer Period”)."

  • There is a brand new Galaxy Fit for $85 delivered. Is that a good deal?

    • Read the many review and on their FB page. No.

  • I bet DWI are confused as hell that they have sold so many 1+1s all of a sudden and that most of them are from OZBargainers.

  • -2

Excuse my ignorance, however I just rang SuppsRUs and they sai they are not accepting the discount code. I thought it was eBay wide???

    • +10

they wouldnt know or care, and by asking them you likely just made them confused

    • +4

I'm guessing they don't know ebay pays the difference. They can't not accept the code

  • +6

My cash rewards has already tracked and posted to my account. And cash rewards is paying the 2% on the full value of my purchases before the 15% discount… WINNING, makes those 3 seperate $523 purchases of 10 gram gold bars even better, and thanks to the mini collapse of the AUD over the weekend the gold itself has increased in value.

    • Thanks could you point me to the ebay seller for the bars ? cheers !

    • Looks like prices have already been jacked up, because here's the spot price for 10g of gold
      10 gram
      Sell $487.15
      Buy $431.90

      • +1

The prices were higher on ebay for the gold, but after the 15% ebay and 2% cash rewards were factored in each 10gram bar cost me $434.39 and that includes delivery. The above prices you quote which look like they come from the perth mint dont include their delivery charges that range between $6-$17.50

  • This seems like good value for anyone wanting a speaker dock- Philips Fidelio DS9- $84.15 with discount. Got to wait a while for it to arrive though.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BRAND-NEW-Philips-Fidelio-Primo-D…

  • sorry if this is been answered, but 3 transactions = i get to use the coupon 3 times?

    • Seems so..

    • Yes 3 times, so you can score max $100 discount across 3 transactions each time

    • Yup, you can load the cart with (12?) items each time.

  • +6

    Extended to Tuesday. 16/9

    • Source?

      • +2

        you could try www.ebay.com.au

its very 'subtly' bannered across the top of the site

  • +1

Guys what can i buy? Is there a list / has someone put together the best buy items that fall under this deal? I am in desperate need of a phone and am looking at the Sony Xperia… But i was told to be careful of grey imports due to warranty issues if something goes wrong. Is there any recommendations on who to buy the phone off on ebay?

  • +2

This is great! I signed up to PayPal and eBay for the first time just for this and bought a Samsung tablet from DWI and a matching case last night without any problems.

I save $282.20 had I bought it from Dicksmith online.

I hope DWI don't stuff up any deliveries.

Now that the deal has been extended till tomorrow midnight I just have to decide if there is anything else to buy.

Maybe an Xbox 360 or PS3.

    Ozbargain Rocks!

    • Which tablet did you get?

      • Samsung 12.2 SM-P900, the big one that no one want because it's too big and heavy to carry around.

It was that or the Ipad Air.

  • Any tried to combine multiple auction items into one transaction ? There's no 'add to cart' button which sorts of makes it tricky

    • I think when I won an auction once it went to my cart automatically.

I remember as i paid cash on pickup and nearly paid again when using my cart later.

  • Is it 3 transactions per paypal account or per ebay account?

    • +2

      Three transactions per person only.

If history is anything to go by, it would be three transactions per PayPal account. If you use the voucher more than three times with different PayPal accounts, be aware of this:

eBay reserves the right to disallow or reverse a discount in circumstances where it believes a sale or purchase of any item as part of this sale has not been made in good faith. • Usually how long after purchase before the cb shows up on cashrewards?

    • +3

Should come through in 24 to 48 hours after your purchase

      • This. I got a notice today at 1:52pm for a purchase made just after 10am yesterday.

  • just bought delonghi red kettle from Goodguys for 88.40 then i called to pickup from my nearby store and got another 5 dollar return so 83.44.

plus a 2% from cash reward.

  • title could be updated

  • Any good deal on a fridge with about 280-350L capacity?

  • Can anyone tell me if the 2% from cash reward still works if I press 'Add to cart' then use the Shopping Cart to check out?

    • +4

      Yes it does.

    • +2

this is what i did yesterday and i just got my confirmation from cashrewards that it worked.

      • Thanks Costanza and bundy23 :) I'm going to buy them together now :) hahaha

  • -1

am I correct in assuming that I can use an auction sniping program and still get the 15% off. I am not sure if "checkout" happens immediately after you commit to buy an item so not sure exactly when you need to enter the code. What if "immediate payment required" is a condition of the auction as the sniping program is bidding on my behalf?

  • I can't seem to figure out where to put the code and I already committed to purchase.

    • +1

When you go to the pay screen there should be a Coupon Redemption box at the bottom under the total amount.. should be pretty obvious..

    • beaten to it!

  • awesome, bought a Nutribullet for $123.25

    • +4

Hope its not one of the many fakes on ebay

      • +5

Sounds like he really bit the bullet on that one lol

    • +2

Unless it's from the Australian distributor (who dont sell on eBay) or Singapore, it's mostly not real.

    • I bought nutribullet with similar price and unfortunately it is a fake, good fake but fake nevertheless. ..

      • +1

you can literally get full refund without having to send anyhting back if you can PROVE its fake

        99.9% sure on this
