Access More Netflix Content for Just $12 for 12 Months - Netflix Launch Day Coupon @ Uflix

1180
moarnetflix

uFlix allows users to expand their Netflix content library by switching Netflix regions. Different Netflix regions provide different content to their customers. By switching regions users can access content that is not available in their region (For example, Australia). Using uFlix users are quickly able to change their Netflix regions and access more Netflix content with the click of a button.

uFlix is a smartDNS provider, not a VPN. Because of this, your streaming speed is unaffected by us. New regions are added frequently and uFlix will be supporting HBO streaming when it is available as a stand-alone service.

Using the promo code, you will be able to sign up to our 12 month access plan for just $12!

Promo ends 25/03/2015 @ Midnight.

Enjoy!

@uFlix: Awesome work! Good luck with the service guys :)

          @Jakiejake:
Thanks very much Jakiejake! We appreciate the kind words :)

  • so $12 gives you 12 months of netflix?

    • +1

      Hi argamond,

Unfortunately not. $12 gives you 12 months of uFlix. uFlix allows you to access more content on Netflix, but you still need an active Netflix subscription.

      Thanks.

    • Hi argamond,

No, $12 gives you 12 months of uFlix. uFlix allows you to change Netflix regions.

      Thanks.

  • Perfect for what I need access to - great deal - thanks!

    • You're most welcome!

    • We hope you enjoy it! :)

  • @rep,
any plans on getting android app so i can change netflix regions on the fly, update ip etc..

    • We do have this in mind (as well as a lot more cooler stuff that is not currently done by any smartDNS service), but at the moment - no. We are just starting out and would like to build up our member base. Having said that, an APP to automate all of this will be getting made, but I can not give you a release date. I believe Soon™ would be the correct response.

      • Awesome, just one last Q, - will the service be accessible from across the ditch (NZ) - will there be /is NZ based servers??

        • At this point in time we are going to focus on adding more regions to Netflix. If New Zealand is next in line to get added as a region, then we will most likely also add another DNS server in New Zealand.

For now though, the Australian DNS servers should be okay (although, not ideal).

          Thanks.

  • Do you guys have plans to roll out more channels? If not, are we able to request for a specific channel?

    • +1

      Hi frankfu1122,

The only other channel we will be unblocking in the near future will be HBOGO (when they are a stand alone streaming service). uFlix does not aim to become an "all-in-one" unblocking service. uFlix is a low-cost alternative for people who only need a few of the major channels.

We will be releasing an "all-in-one" unblocking service, but that will be its own company. It will be more expensive, but it will also provide a lot more channels.

      Thanks.

+1 for the rep efforts, great costumer services!

    • Thanks very much for the compliments msmhw! I don't think my fingers have moved this fast in a long, long time.

  • Do I understand this correctly ?

    • I have an Apple TV connected to Ethernet
    • I open the Apple TV and configure the DNS manually (as described in your "Setup" web page)

Then the Apple TV connects via these settings, but the remainder of my home network is unaffected?

    • Hi GordonR,

That is correct. The rest of your network will still use your ISP's DNS (unless you have set it otherwise). The Apple TV will use the uFlix DNS servers.

      Thanks.

  • +1

    Hi Rep,

I'm after some assistance, I have followed your tutorial for setting up the Apple TV, however I seem to be in US limbo regardless of changing the regions and resetting the device. Is this a limitation or should I be able to change between the regions?

    Thanks

    • Hi Lucifersfury82,

Please open up a support ticket in your control panel so we can look further into the issue.

      Thanks.

      • Thank you :)

        • You're welcome :)

  • I just signed up, setup my DNS then signed up to hulu as per the instructions. Couldn't watch anything from there. BBC worked fine (but it's choppy, even though am on VDSL2).

    • +1

      Hi edy4eva,

Please create a support ticket in your control panel. We will then be able to assess the situation further.

      Thanks.

    • Hi edy4eva,

Can you please submit a support ticket on uFlix. We will be able to look at the issue in more depth there.

      Thanks.

  • how does this compare to unblock-us and unotelly?

  • +1

How would this work/not work with OpenDNS (Netgear Parental Controls)?

    • Hi chiuy,

Unfortunately it will not work as you need to use our DNS servers.

      Thanks.

  • So one Netflix account, multiple region IPs logged on system due to switching. Would this run risk of being red flagged? I mean traditionally, people would just subscribe to one VPN to access one region. Just trying to understand the pros and cons of using the service. But it is a really good price i must say.

    • Hi KaTst3R,

We only proxy traffic that is trying to find your location. So far, so good :)

      Thanks.

      • Ok cool. Thanks for the reply.

  • I must be doing something wrong.

Signed up, changed my router's (apple airport extreme) primary and secondary DNS to uFlix's Sydney/Melbourne servers. Reset etc., confirm primary/secondary DNS after re-start.

From all browsers, inc. privacy modes, I keep getting re-directed to the Aus netflix, even though my region is selected as US.

(secondary question: how can i migrate my US netflix to AUS netflix, so no more currency conversion?)

    • I'm having the same problem but with the US/Australia, I can't switch to Australia.

So far all the advice I have had is log out and you should be fine - its not working.

      • Yeah… i can't leave Aus… and my wife and I have heaps of stuff on our list on the US and UK sides. Not a single thing dropped into my wife's one, whereas i've only got about 7 of my 30+ shows on the Aus side mylist.

I'm using different browsers, and no luck.

(I don't care about unmetered from iiNet, I've got 600GB on 100/40mbps with internode to chew through - and work pays for it).

      • Ended up switching back to UnBlockUS, until UFlix can sort this out.

    • Yep. Same here. Keep getting the AUS Netflix.
It's fair to say that this isn't working.

    • You will need to do these following steps.

      1) Log out of Netflix on your Apple T.V
      2) Turn your device off and unplug it from the wall for 15 seconds.
      3) Log in to uflix.com.au and set your Netflix region.
      4) Turn your Apple T.V back on and log in to Netflix.

If this does not fix the problem, I will get a higher support staff member to look at the issue (as it may be a firmware upgrade by Apple).

Please make sure to submit a support ticket as we will not be using OzBargain for support.

      Thanks.

      • Just to add to this, we are working on a fix for the Apple problem. It should be running again within the next 24 hours.

      • Not an apple issue. Windows 8.1 both IE and chrome

  • is there really much speed difference using this service instead of a VPN ? on a less then 5mbps connection ?

    • This service should be faster than a VPN. Due to the way it works, we do not send all traffic through our servers, so the stream will be coming directly from Netflix to your device. The promo ends tomorrow at midnight, so please feel free to sign up for a free account and test it out :)

      Thanks.

  • Does it work with Chromecast?

    • In short, yes. But you will need to block Google's DNS servers at the router level. We do not officially support Chromecast, but we will help you as best we can.

      Thanks.

      • Do you have documentation on how to do this? I have a tp-Link Archer Modem Router D5 of it helps. Ovbously if its difficult or the quality of service isn't there I would want to pay for your service if it cant handle chromecast

        • Hi Gavman,

Please submit a support ticket on uFlix. We will provide the necessary information there.

          Thanks.

  • Not to take anything away from the OP, but Getflix also offers this service. Just log into Getflix, and change your region for Netflix. You can swap between AU and US just as easy. Nice to see some competition though.

    • This one is much cheaper

      • Well it would be… if it worked. :(

        • +1

The service does work. If you are having problems, please submit a support ticket.

          Thanks.

  • it doesn't work for me. DNS Settings: FAILED: Click here to set up your DNS

    • Hi hdieu,

Please submit a support ticket so we can look at this further.

      Thanks.

    • That's the message you get if you haven't set up the DNS settings on your device. Have you followed the instructions to set it up?

      • It's a silly warning. I've tested and it changed to US netflix but the uflix setting still has the same warning. I'll just ignore it.

  • How easy it is to use your service as opposed to those Phillipines based Dns service, also can I use rhapsody and beats slacker music streaming from usa?

  • Just signed up for the trial

Currently using it on the iPad with the Melbourne DNS setup

Changed thr region on the uflix control panel to US

Works great. Getting all the US channels now

  • -4

Such a service used exclusively for this purpose sounds illegal…

    • Breaching terms of service is not illegal in any way…terms of service are not laws.

  • I am not getting the $12 for 12 months deal when clicking on the coupon. It takes me to Uflix with a 14 day trial and then $2 per month. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Hi ammat,

You will need to sign up for free, and in your control panel you will be able to input the coupon code in the subscription tab.

      Thanks :)

      • Many thanks!

        • You're welcome! :)

      • Do we have to pay today, or can we check it works in the two week trial, then get the lower price? I've entered the code, and it is showing the lower price, but I don't want to commit until I've got my 6 months free Netflix from Optus ;)

        • +1

          Hi there,

Sorry, this is only available until midnight tomorrow. After that yearly pricing will be $20 for 12 months or $2 per month.

          Thanks.

        • You're better of exhausting what the Australian version has to offer and getting this for the remainder of the 6 months. It'll be cheaper.

  • +1

Is it possible to set a dynamic IP service like dyndns as the IP address, to negate having to login?

    • Anyone?

      • Doesn't look like it. I've asked for them to add this feature in another post. Having to log in every time my ip changes is one reason I'd dump this - and pay a couple of dollars more per month for Getflix. Rep - any comments on developing the option to input a domain name asap ? Getflix has this - Can't imagine it is too time consuming or difficult technically.

  • if I sign up to this do I still need to create a US xbox live account even tho Netflix is now released in AU?

    • No you shouldn't, your Netflix app will probably need to be closed and reopened on the Xbox when you change regions.

  • So much extra content on the US netflix…worth it for $12 for a year.

  • Does this work with livestream.com for the NRL?

    • Hi,

Sorry, no it does not. We only provide access to Netflix, BBC iPlayer and hulu at the moment.

      Thanks.

  • Works brilliantly so far. I've tried it on both my Mac and iPad.

    • Excellent! :)

    • Great to hear! We hope you enjoy our service.

  • Rep, can you tell me that when i sign up with uflix , i also need to signup/pay with Netflix for their basic plan $7.99 as well and the same applies to Hulu Plus ?

    • +1

      Hi,

Yes, you will need a Netflix and/or hulu account. Both of them have a free trial though.

      Thanks.

  • I set the DNS up on my computer. Do I have to change it back to "Obtain DNS server address automatically" if I want to play certain games or does this not affect it at all?

    • This does not affect it.

      Thanks.

  • Thanks. Seems to work fine. Cancelled Getflix. Signed up for the $12 deal.

  • +1

    I still prefer Getflix

$2 a month when coupons applied

    20 regions
Including Canada and Brazil which seem to get the latest releases about a month before USA and UK

Amazon Prime, Hulu and many other networks supported

Ability to turn captions on and off

    1 click region switching

They've been around for a few years now and their service is perfect

What coupon you are talking about?

Live sports content via Online TV service would be a game changer! Any chance of this happening soon?

    • Hi Sydgun,

uFlix will not be an "all-in-one" service. We will be launching a sister-site to provide more channels. uFlix will remain a service for only unblocking a few channels.

      Thanks.

  • which netflix region has game of thrones?

    • +1

None, that's a HBO exclusive. Welcome to the fragmented TV rights industry ;-)

You'd need a foxtel go subscription for that show. To see what's available on the different Netflix regions, look at http://au.allflicks.net/most-popular/ (has Australia region already) or http://www.moreflicks.com/lists/oscar-winners

    • Unfortunately none. However, HBOGO will be releasing a stand-alone service soon. uFlix will also support access to it.

      Thanks.

  • Any chance of a 6 month deal for those of us getting 6 months free Netflix from Optus? Right now it costs the same.

    • Hi Morgan,

Unfortunately this is a limited time promo we are running.

      Thanks.

  • Wow so cheap, working great just sub for year. Thanks

    • You're welcome! We hope you enjoy our service!

  • Already use getflix for aleauge …. Netflix stuff I can just dled anyways.

  • $5 cheaper then getflix but missing ALOT of the regions.
Sadly not worth the small saveing.

    • lol if you only use netflix and hulu, this is perfect - a $60 a year saving is a large saving.

i had getflix but only used netflix so it was a waste of money for me. to each his own

      • getflix is $17 a year.

        • Getflix is USD$32.26 / AUD$41.50 per year. That's if you like the FB page. Is there a further discount?

        • @hen dawg: I had my account since they first launched
i have a 40% off thing on it. so would cost me $17 something for 12 months.

    • Hi Holden93,

We are adding regions over time. We will support all available Netflix regions in time.

      Thanks.
