20/8: As many of you are wondering where your claim validation is being 10 days now, it has been confirmed that they have been a little overwhelmed with claims and will take an extra 5 days to catch up. Also 32 free pods appear to be on their way.

Lavazza currently has a cash back promo on their pod machines until 6/9/15.
The Minu is collecting $50, Target currently selling for $49 (EDIT: Some stores are now selling at $24.50) (normally $59) so technically you can profit $1 (or $25.50) on these.
Still $49 at my local Target as of 14/8.

Like printers they love to make their money from the consumables so entry price is low, but ongoing can be high. Think the pods run about $10-$12 for 16. They are a nice compact unit though, so I grabbed one to keep as a backup if my automatic machine dies. (Cheers to my bro for spotting the special)

Some important info as per the T&Cs:
"Cash back of Lavazza A Modo Mio Minu White Capsule Machines are only available from Target and Dick Smith" so no price matching elsewhere on these ones.

Also the cash back form hasn't been updated completely from the last promo, and after submitting will tell you that its outside the (previous) valid date range but it goes through OK. You'll receive a confirmation e-mail and Lavazza state they will notify you of your claims validity within 10 days. (This has also been confirmed here)

It has now also been confirmed that multiple claims are ok

Not currently available online but should be plenty of stock across Target stores (although is listed under Clearance on Target website so may vary).

          @wtfnodeal: I'm claiming more than one unit myself. I emailed lavazza and got a response 3 days later stating that the approval email signified that the cashback for all of my machines had been approved.

    Free pods is a bonus as it is fair for us to use the profit to buy the pods but it is obviously not the best marketing strategy as people might not end up buying more in future not knowing which flavor they like without getting free sample pods.

    How does the cashback look in your account when you get it? Does it say bank credit from Lavazza for the full $50? Its just that I have received some unknown payments in batches of $25 and thought it might be the lavazza cashback as I can't think of anything else.

    To everyone who hasn't received the free pods: I called up and as a new company has taken over distribution of the pods they had no record of my free pod order. They put in another order and I got the pods the next day.

    I also got the cashback on the same day.

      I emailed and had a similar response. They asked what date I registered, and then asked for my address.

      It looks like the details weren't transferred to the new company that took over, so make sure you make contact if you want your 32 free pods.

          @badarz: technically ok not ethically ok unless you tried the coffee and hated it then pawned it. Otherwise your intention buying and claiming cash back and selling for profit is ethically wrong. Lavazza gave you cash back not because it wanted to share profit with you but to let you give it a chance to try its coffee.

        Not sure - fairly regular use, maybe 5 coffees a day tops, now the green light flashes, but then turns to a red flashing light - checked all the obvious things, water not overfilled, collection thing emptied, unplugged, replugged, still the same …

          On another happy note - Target had no replacements in stock (Perth, WA), so explained to Lavazza and they sent a free replacement (which is good, as my wife had already bought a few packs of pods!!).

          I'm glad I have a happy customer story to share :)
