20/8: As many of you are wondering where your claim validation is being 10 days now, it has been confirmed that they have been a little overwhelmed with claims and will take an extra 5 days to catch up. Also 32 free pods appear to be on their way.

Lavazza currently has a cash back promo on their pod machines until 6/9/15.
The Minu is collecting $50, Target currently selling for $49 (EDIT: Some stores are now selling at $24.50) (normally $59) so technically you can profit $1 (or $25.50) on these.
Still $49 at my local Target as of 14/8.

Like printers they love to make their money from the consumables so entry price is low, but ongoing can be high. Think the pods run about $10-$12 for 16. They are a nice compact unit though, so I grabbed one to keep as a backup if my automatic machine dies. (Cheers to my bro for spotting the special)

Some important info as per the T&Cs:
"Cash back of Lavazza A Modo Mio Minu White Capsule Machines are only available from Target and Dick Smith" so no price matching elsewhere on these ones.

Also the cash back form hasn't been updated completely from the last promo, and after submitting will tell you that its outside the (previous) valid date range but it goes through OK. You'll receive a confirmation e-mail and Lavazza state they will notify you of your claims validity within 10 days. (This has also been confirmed here)

It has now also been confirmed that multiple claims are ok

Not currently available online but should be plenty of stock across Target stores (although is listed under Clearance on Target website so may vary).

    Just wondering does it actually taste good with frothed milk ? I tried with 200ml of heated milk non-frothed, with sugar.. Taste was on par with my instant coffee (Carte Noire)

    I've just been drinking espresso's which this machine is very good at. Pretty nice and smooth compared to instant coffee. Not as harsh as stove top coffee.

    I hadn't received my cash back yesterday after 12 days so gave them a call…. Seems as though we have overwhelmed the office and there is a slight delay on the refunds. They confirmed with me that my refund has been approved, just hasn't gone through the finance side yet. Should go through within the next 3-5 days. Also free pods have arrived so that side of the deal is still working :)

    I got the same email today but the funny thing is that I submitted claims for 4x separate minu machines with separate invoices (separate online claims forms and initial email confirmations). I have emailed to ask why I have only received one "cashback approval" email and what bearing this has on my other claims.. will wait and see how they reply I suppose. Each separate claim was the same name/email address.

      I think the promo by Lavazza (or whoever runs the cash back)is still on according to the date in the original post, however, the price for this specific coffee machine may have increased by Target as their sale has ended, hence wont be a "free" coffee machine any more

          Multiple claims allowed. Probably more of an issue with staff training at the outsourced cashback company contracted or have a later date to fulfill customers with multiple claims after round one.

      LOL. This means they are not up to Nespresso marketing level yet. They should at least include 1 free pod for each flavour in the pack at least we don't need to buy a pack of 16 to find out that flavour is not my cup of coffee.

          From memory, offer was launched late last year until 18000 machines are registered… Thats alot of machines.

      They replied today saying both have been processed successfully. I also just got one email.

    Got all my 10 cashbacks today, disappointed I didn't purchase more as there where over 30 in store.

    Heads up to anyone who placed capsule orders with Lavazza, I called them today because I was still waiting on my order from 19/08 (5 boxes plus free frother). Apparently the company that was running the operation was going under or something and they just handed it to another company which has no idea what's going on. They even asked me how long should it take for orders to be received, I told them 2 days for Sydney. I'll be lucky to get them next week since the hand over completes on next Tuesday. At least they stopped online orders, but I expect they will have a huge backlog to go through. So like I said before, no chance of getting free capsules.

        Because:

        1. The promo has been running since August 2014 until sold out (thats a year ago). Pretty sure they have sold out by now. Or they can easily say the free capsules have been claimed.
        2. Not sure how legit the promo is, considering it was linked by an Ozbargainer and not official. The promo is not listed anywhere on the website, nor mentioned in the packaging, in store or email etc.
        3. Several flavours were sold out when I ordered, don't see why they would prioritize free packs when they can sell them.
        4. The T&C says you will receive an email from Lavazza if your claim is valid. I have not received this nor have I heard anyone say they have had an emailing saying this. If they did I would have called them to get them to honour my claim.
        5. T&C also says it has to be from a participating retailer ADVERTISING this offer. Again there is no evidence of this. So we can't call them to ask them to honour this.
        6. Its been mentioned before that someone called and they had no idea about this offer and that's with the old team handling orders. Good luck with the current team that can't even get their paid orders going at the moment.
        7. There's only been one person who has said they received the freebie, though that is unconfirmed at the moment. No one else has received them that I can see and its been well past the 14 days expected delivery.

        My guess is that the $50 cashback offer replaces previous offers so you won't get both. But hey I registered as well and hope you are right for all our sakes, just not holding my breath.

          If you only saw 5 boxes + free milk frother in your order then you did it wrong. You would still get the free box of pods on your first order over $30.

          @exile: there you go. The very first promo all people got $30 for milk frother comes with a box of free pods on yhe first order. Click the link to Lavazza website add 5 more boxes to your cart then remove the $30 milk frother. Your cart should have 6 boxes of pods and 1 milk frother for the price of only 5 boxes of pods. So that means Lavazza not longer sending the old promo to new customers doesnt mean it has ended.
          Edit, looks like all free pods and milk frother promo has ended.
          Edit 2, cash back form removed as well.
          Good luck to Lavazza outsourcing its marketing to a crappy company.

          Looks like there might be a few changes in the works.. the previous form is now 404 and the new one (on store.amodomio.com.au anyway) is currently unavailable (as is the T&C's PDF)..

          The new FAQ also states (may have been the case before but don't recall it):

          Who are the participating retailers?
          A participating retailer is any retailer nationally that displays advertising material communicating this offer and the online store of any of these retailers.

          As far as I have seen at my local Target, there was no advertising regarding the cashback so this could explain why Target is no longer listed on the form at http://lavazzavip.com.au/ (and remember it was a clearance line at Target)

          @bamzero: I don't know if they removed the advertising but when I bought mine they had a stack of Cash Back via Redemption leaflets next to the machines, The leaflet specifically mentions Target as a participating store. Can upload a pic if anyone has trouble redeeming, but should be ok I think.

          Anyway, it seems as lot have received their cash backs already, even those with multiple claims, and any new claims from this point on its probably a trickle compared to the original OzBargaining, so I don't think Lavazza is trying to screw anyone over..

          If the earlier comment about the marketing company handling it going under is true, then that makes more sense as to why all the changes now.

          First they sent me an email stating that my claim had been approved and then today I just received an email stating "Your Lavazza A Modo Mio cash back claim is invalid. Your claim has unfortunately been deemed invalid as the details that you have provided do not meet all the requirements as set out in the promotion’s terms and conditions."

          I didn't even realise that they changed the T & C's - can they even do that? Does anyone have a copy of the original T & C's?

          the Mrs got the same email a call to their 1300 302 334 got it sorted out. they had marked it as being a staff discount and on checking the receipt they realized their mistake and said they will fix it up.

          just ring up and ask them to confirm the details and let you know what is wrong.

    Regarding the free pods, I emailed Lavazza Friday and got a response with a link. The link in the email is the same as the link posted in one of the comments here. So the free pods is legit.

    Make sure you put the serial number that is on the sticker at the bottom of the machine itself, and not the sticker that is on the box (the one on the box has 13 characters, instead of 14, though somehow the form accepted 13)

      Thats weird because the one on the box says serial number . How could anyone think it was not? But you are saying the serial number actually on the machine is different? Or just has an extra digit?

        Yes, sounds hard to believe the "serial number" on the box sticker is not "the serial number" !!?!!….. For what it is worth I got 2x lots of 2xboxes of free pods about 5 months ago with another couple of machines (before this latest deal with the Target minus) and I received them eventually. The coffee (esp. nice double shot of deciso with plenty of warm fresh milk) is *real good so I'm sure they get plenty of repeat business out of a few freebies…let's hope they see it like that and haven't lost track of the online submissions. I don't think I ever got email confirmation in the first place though…
