    • This looks absolutely worth it!

    • Oos now

    • I bought the last one! Thanks OP you’re a legend.
I’ve been keeping my eye on laptops on ozbargain for about a year now. Many times, I was close to pulling the trigger, but something always held me back.

I was going to wait for the release of the new legion 30xx models but figured the pricing will be expensive and limited stock - so decided to pull the trigger on this.

      • nice :) 2060 should do you nicely for 1080p gaming

        • Thanks! Hopefully thermals aren’t too bad. I tried to Google and find reviews on thermals for the base razer but didn’t find much (maybe that’s a good sign that thermals are decent).

I currently game on a MacBook Pro that I also got on ozbargain a few years ago - and yeah thermals aren’t the best lol.

          • @eltito: Intel CPU runs quite hot when plugged into power, and drains battery fast when running on battery power. Cooling solution is enough to prevent throttling so the performance will be quite good, but will be hot to the touch and fans quite loud on heavy loads. Definitely don't recommend playing games with it in your lap! Its just the trade-off for these specs in this small form factor. Apart from this, I'm sure you'll be satisfied, especially considering the great price!!

            • @jonahmvp: Yeah fair point, I never game on my lap as I’ve experienced that heat build up with my current MacBook Pro and also because it can be awkward. The issue with my Mac is even if I watched a movie or nba games while having it on my lap it would heat up like crazy. So hopefully less intensive stuff like that isn’t too bad with the Razer.

Otherwise, I’ll always have it plugged in and on a solid surface when playing games.

Dessiccant type dehumidifier. These are good in cool weather to dry out your room which can minimise condensation (and mould growth). I have the Ionmax612 and use it in a room about 4x7m which seems a good match. Much bigger a space I'd go for a bigger one. This brand is a Choice pick (not that I put much faith in Choice). Uses about 200-400 watts. On high is about as loud as a pedestal fan on medium/high. On low you can watch tv fine.

M27Q monitor, note the pixel layout is BGR, but looks OK, not G-Sync Compatible Verified but most likely can enable it without much trouble:

    QHD Native Resolution (2560 x 1440)

Check the review, performance beating Aorus 15G RTX3080 MAX-Q, huge lead to ASUS TUF F15 and ahead G15 RTX3070 by a fair large margin due to MUX direct mode connecting to dGPU bypassing the i-GPU (UHD630).
The only drawback is the CPU is i7-10870H, which is slower and/or hotter than Ryzen 7 5800H~5900HX.

Also, looks like 2kg vs 2.2kg. Also also (ugh), 3070Q. Anyways, for those who like to compromise.

Don't like it has Intel promo, but should have Gigabyte monitor promo based on Computer Alliance website:
      https://www.computeralliance.com.au/gigabyte-aero-15-xc-8au1…

      • This is the MAX-Q version, I admit it's good value. Performance is significantly behind 15P XC.
Aero 15 XC vs Aorus 15P XC:
2KG vs 2.2KG, thinner as well
        144Hz vs 240Hz
16GB vs 32GB, note 15P's 32GB guarantee 4 memory banks, which gives higher performance than 2 memory banks in real life, especially for many games
Aero's Boost Clock 1290 MHz, Maximum Graphics Power 100 W vs
Aorus' Boost Clock 1560 MHz, Maximum Graphics Power 130 W

15P has better cooling thanks to larger cooling module and stronger fan. AERO has TB3 port, where 15P does not, if this is important for you.
Pick the one right to you

      • THANK YOU

Great heaters, super quiet and last forever with very little maintenance. I've got the 13mj version and even then I only run it on the lowest setting.

      • Can testify to this, I got it for a bargain at Castle Hill Harvey Norman for $1250 last year. Best heater I've ever had, heats downstairs and after a while reaches upstairs too.

    • How do u run on low setting. Avenger 25 only has thermostat

      • Then the lowest setting would just mean the lowest temp it allows? Normally minimum of 18

      • Utilising a thermostat would be the most efficient way, put it in Gas Econ mode with the temp set low as said. Or do you want it on constantly for some reason? Would get pretty toasty if it just kept running I'd say

    • Is this different and not requiring Ebay Plus and "free delivery for selected cities only"?

its a great all in one easy to setup and run router and security device.. Yes there are stronger and better devices if you want to go through a lot more configuration and maintenance but as an easy to use i cant fault it.

    • +6

I switched to one of these from an ASUS gaming router which was ROCK solid for years. Although I like the UDM, is not stable at all, needing reboots often or clients will stop connecting. There's also LESS features that Asus and the GUI is awful. It jumps in and out and the new GUI and old and options aren't sync'd between them.
