I know..I know….they are inkjets…and companies make money from sellings cartridges. BUT it has got a scanner too….and it's wireless…so IMO it's good for 9 bucks..

The specs don't really say that it's wireless…but i received an email from DELL showing the same price and photo of the printer…and it says it has an built-in 802.11 b/g/n wireless printing. So not sure about that.

EDIT : Those who don't beleive me…check this out : https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Bxkv5bFG68uYRFFDNTZ4Yzh0QVk

Mate, think about it. The delivery guy isn't only going to work before 5 or after 5. He's going to be doing deliveries all day. Noone is going to know when that particular courier is going to get to your particular area…

      • +2

If you're not home they will leave a card.

  • Mine is now changed to EDD to 9/7/12

    • Yeah, mine too. Managed to get a computer built and delivered in less time than this. A client ordered the same day I bought the scanner, and the computer arrived this morning.

I guess for $9 I cannot complain, but I need that scanner now. Gonna have to go and buy one from a store :(

  • My EDD has changed to 9/7/12 as well:( Guess we're just gonna have to wait..

  • Mines still "working in progress".

    • LOL - are they still "building" your "machine" ala printer?

  • My EDD has changed to 6/07/2012 :(

  • I've made my order just before the server get down… but didn't get my "order confirmation number" yet. I received a email straight after which asked me to wait for another email with "order confirmation number". Didn't get anything after… no credit charged on credit card

Called Dell today… the agent said they will still honer my offer… but there is current stock depletion on printers which is why the server has been taken off, the system is down for making orders on all printers currently. They are currently checking on stock availability and still pending at the moment

Wish they won't cancel my order >.<

  • 2012-07-16 for me :(

    They seem very confident!
Based on the latest available information, we are confident we will deliver your order on or before this new date. We apologise for the delay and appreciate your patience.

  • My EDD is still dated on 6/7/2012. Hope no further delay like above.

  • EDD is 6/07/2012. But the printer is still work in progress. How is it possible?

  • Have not received mine either but as long as Dell honors it I will be happy. Let's just hope that they do.

  • mine was supposed to have turned up on or b4 the 28th of june…its now the 2nd of july ~_~

  • Guys, I haven't received my printer yet, but was wondering, what's the chances of filling up the ink cartridges yourself once they've run out? Anyone managed to do it?

    • I think you may also need a way to reset the chip on the ink cartridges too. I have discovered through the years of using printers with print cartridges including both the head and the ink -like this dell- are quite hard to keep the ink not clogged and blocked up after you refill them. Hence this is the reason why I have always stayed with brother inkjets. No chip and cartridge only contains ink.

  • I ordered it the day this deal was posted but I couldn't track my order online. Today I gave them a call and I was told that they were organizing a refund for me because they ran out of stock :(

    • Same here just received an email cancelling and refunding my order - no stock available

      • boohoo :(
I'm too scared to ring them just incase they are cancelling orders upon customer inquiry(because of stock shortages). The order receipt still has an ETA of 7/7 so I will till Friday before I decide what to do.

        • +3

Why would you bother contacting them anyway? They have given you a delivery date which hasn't passed and you haven't received any other communication to worry about - cross your fingers and wait (even after the date). It's only $9 so don't burden them with your call unnecessarily… They are likely to be trying to fill your order otherwise they'd have cancelled it already. Btw my delivery date has been pushed out later than yours.

    • im still waiting and no email

  • +1

EDD was 06/07/2012 but some how I received mine today with cable. :) :)

  • +3

got mine today =D, bargain for $9

    • +1

      Got mine too.

  • Still "Working in progress"

  • just called dell today they said delivery date 6/7/12 is not correct cos they are totally out of stock and don't knw when we getting more so they offered me two options, I can go for refund or either i can upgrade to another printer dell v525 instead of v313 and don't need to pay anything. so I choosed this one.. Did this thing happend with anyone else or just me?..

    • -1

Poor form by Dell. If they are "totally out of stock" then why haven't they contacted us yet? I'll be calling up for a refund today. What a waste of time.

  • +1

Called Dell trying to get my (still to be delivered) V313 upgraded to the V525 multifunction wireless model.

I had already received a delivery confirmation for my V313.

They said some people had received emails offering them the upgrade to the V525 (Four weeks delivery time).

This was only in situations where they had run out of stock for those customers and for customers who had not already been allocated a V313 model.

If you have received messages asking you to confirm your delivery date/time then you have been already allocated a V313 and they will not upgrade you :-(. Don't worry I tried my best to convince them otherwise! :-)

So all those people in the last bunch of orders last week are likely to get the email saying the V313 is out of stock and then offering the better, wireless model V525 multi-function - but with a four week delivery time.

All us early birds who got in and ordered early will be left with the lower grade V313 model.

I guess you win some - lose some.

Anyways for $9 - the V313 is still a good deal - so I'm not complaining.

I guess if word got out that Dell was offering free upgrades to the V525 —- (NOTE NOTE: - they are NOT DOING SO FOR CONFIRMED DELIVERY ORDERS like mine) …. then their call centre would be swamped.

So please don't bother calling them for an upgrade if you already have a delivery confirmation.

There's no point bombarding the call centre for no end result.

Anyways I'm confirming my delivery time for my V313 and resting the matter.

  • Just called up and had a lengthy phone call.

Seems they have run out of "parts" for the V313 and offered me a refund. I asked about a upgrade to the V525 and after another wait was told they are also out of "parts" for this printer.

I've decided to take the refund. My EDD was for tomorrow, but was never going to happen.

    • I think they're giving people different excuses. Same story here, they told me they don't have the parts for the V313 so I asked them if they could give me another printer instead. They came back and said that the other printer would take longer to deliver lol.

I guess they must be getting used to the calls for free upgrades.

I live in "Wait Awhile", this type of delay is a perfectly normal part of life here.

    We wait… i will wait..

  • Tomorrow delivery seems impossible

We are currently experiencing a shortage of this product and would like to offer you the following options:

Option 1: Replace your current order of ‘Dell V313 AIO printer’ with an equivalent or better printer model at no additional charge.
Option 2: Cancel your order and refund your purchase cost.

  • calling them tomorrow first thing in the morning…

hope i can get a better printer at no extra charge as promised in option one..

  • I received the same emails too

  • Received the confirm order email way back but nothing else since. If it doesn't turn up tomorrow, how long must we wait until we HAVE to contact them.

  • The only inkjet I can see on the Dell website at the moment is the V725w. Now that for $9 would be one hell of a bargain. Bring on option 1!

    • V525w sounds most possible, but Compatible Ink Cartridge is a problem

  • well I choose the same option but they have't sent the email yet..cos they said we will send you shortly…

    OR…

Option 2: Cancel your order and refund your purchase cost.

option 1 seems to be the go..
whats the use of a $9 refund..

i even forgot about my order..

equilivent or better.. as long as its a scanner/printer.. bring it on..

  • Got the email. Assuming when I call they'll force me into option 2. Or cash in on people not calling and selecting option 2 for them.

  • +1

I got 4 emails regarding 4 different orders for V313 ,.."a shortage of this product and would like to offer you the following options" yada yad yada…

    All 4 order numbers are not mine…!! :-) ???????????

I wonder what they are smoking over at Dell?? LOLLL…

    • Similarly, I got 2 order numbers. $4.50/each for a printer will be cool ;)

      • I got 2 not-mine order numbers. I'll just give them the original order number though.. if they would take me off hold!!!!

    • +1

To the ignorant neg voter… I only ordered one unit.

      • Balanced you up :)

  • Anyone called yet?

    8am - 10pm… grrr

    • Got through the first automated level, now I'm stuck at the second which is open during "standard business hours". Whatever that means.

      • Yea, same as what I got..

  • I just got the email too, upgrade or refund, I've got a funny feeling that in 4 weeks dell will run out of parts again, then it'll be refund or another 4 weeks.

    • Will they refund automatically or just keep our money and not deliver if we forget about it?

      • I opted for the refund a couple days ago. Today I received an e-mail asking me to pay another $9. Still no refund in my account. Dell are pathetic.

  • Received multiple emails last night but all with different order numbers. Also it says call 133 355 then press 2, but that's tech support and requires service tag number!

I suspect they would rather pull out the deal like all the previous stuff ups, but this time they have gone too far by sending out order confirmation and estimated delivery date. Too late to blame system error.

In any event, the number in the email 133 355, the number from the order confirmation (02) 8972 5000, and the number from Dell website 1800 812 393 all seems to divert to the same offshore call centre, that only available after 9:00am.

    • Actually times are 8am - 10pm EST…

      • uhm, no. Message just said they are closed. It's 7:36pm AEST now.

  • I've been on hold for 20 minutes. "Thank you for holding, your call will be answered by the next available agent". They play that message WAY too often.. But waiting, waiting, waiting…

    • Same!

      • After 27:41 I hung up after speaking with them. They just tried to put me through to their Sales Reps but he came back and said they only open at 8am!!!! I said it was 8:40am!!!! He just said to call back in an hr. Damn waste of time…

      • What options did you select? I've been trying 3 and then 3 again. They are still closed now though.

  • -6

    20 mins and counting.

I won't be buying from Dell again, that's for sure.

  • Waited for about 30 mins just to be told they're not open yet at this hour (??!!) and hung up. Wasted my $25 credit on my mobile!!! Tip: call from a landline instead!

  • I will wait 10 more mins,

  • Mines still "work in progress".
    EDD 6/07/2012
    And no email :(
    ?????

  • I rang at 8am on the dot and got thru fairly quick, less than a min. Anyway she recommended to cancel the order as they have no stock, I was like but I want option 1 the upgrade, she puts me on hold for a few minutes and came back and said she doesnt know what upgrade is available as the email only went out yesterday and will call or email me when she gets some more information.

    • The rep didn't know the email…

  • I just spent an hour on the phone after having received the Option 1 / Option 2 email. I have gone for Option 1 and was offered a V525 and told to expect it in two weeks time. Have to say I'm very happy as this is a much better printer and it has wireless. Reviews can be found here:

Just called then, options 3 then 2 on the automated system, got through in about 5 minutes called right on 9am. The assistant was helpful, took my details, asked if I'd like option one, i said yes. She said she'd email me the details and that was that.

  • +1

Just got off the phone with Dell. I only had to wait for five minutes to get through so I might have just gotten lucky. I told her that I would like to go with Option 1 and would like the replacement printer. She said that was fine, gave me a case number and said that she would email me with any updates. Can't complain really.

EDIT: Appears I had the exact same experience as Lilja4ever. I actually went with option 3 then 3 again on the phone and that worked perfectly.

  • -8

I selected 1 for Sales, the guy put me through, only waited 3 mins.
The two I ordered (separately) are now upgraded to the wifi model.

  • -8

Ended up just calling the sales dept direct, was offered v525w and told it will take 10 working days to arrive. hopefully they wont run out of stock.

    • +7

…and you negged my deal !

      • -4

the neg was out of frustration at being on hold for an hour, sorry.

  • Just got off the phone, only waited maybe 3 mins so not bad at all, replacement model is as previously mentioned the v525w which is wireless and retails on the Dell website for $110, great deal 'if' we receive them.

    • Strangely the order number quoted in my 'replacement' email, was different to the one in my original email when I placed the order. They had no record of the order number in my email I received this morning.

      • yup had the same problem. they sent me three new order numbers. kinda annoying

  • I called again and total call time was 10 minutes. I asked for Option 1, they said they can't tell me what model but will email me the details when they know. Maybe V525 is now out of stock? Or they're waiting on getting an inferior printer (to V525) in stock so they can send those out instead? Either way for $9 I don't care what they send as longs it scans!!

  • Hmm I've been on hold for 45 mins and counting. First girl had no idea and put me through to sales, and i'm still stuck in their queue.

  • +1

They need better queue music :P

  • Can anyone find better prices for ink, than these (standard and high capacity)?

    http://www.getprice.com.au/Single-Use-High-Capacity-Magenta-…

  • I also just called and only had to wait a few minutes but ended up pressing 3 instead of 2 because Option 2 is support and when they heard what I wanted they put me back to the main menu anyway. No problem, it was all over and done with in under 15 minutes and I selected the "better printer" option so I suppose we'll just have to wait & see what that actually means. $110 Wireless model would obviously be nice but I'm still fine with what the basic $9 model provided.

All seems a bit strange. Maybe it was a big stuff up… but maybe the original $9 offer, the limited stock and associated options to refund or 'upgrade' was part of an internal customer service audit Dell had planned all along because this would be a great way of performing a VERY real high-volume test of their entire order, delivery & support network/systems.

  • I rang them and upgraded to V525w. Are we supposed to get any email confirmation etc after this ? Because I haven't received anything. The order status on the internet is still showing V313 printer…"Work in progress"… ?

  • +1

Damn ahaha. Sometimes it doesn't pay to be quick on these deals. My V313 is meant to arrive today.

  • called and went with option 1 obviously,. they say they will send me details of what they will be sending out
got through within a minute, but took 16mins all up..

  • They oversold this deal by 2000 units is what they told me! lol

  • +1

It's funny, I called up and told them 'Hi, I got this email from Dell regarding-' and the girl cut me off and said 'the printer right?' Lol, she told me the lines have been running hot from the morning about just the printer.

    All I could think was…OzBargain!

  • Rang up, pressed Option 3 then 3 again (as 2 was technical support).

There is some major chaos here! I got 2 email, with 2 different order numbers, none which matched my original order.

I ended up using the Internet Reference number instead to make it easier. The guy said you "may" get an upgrade, they will confirm via call back later today. He said the 313 or the 313W.

Oh well, fail for Dell, but hey, its only $9 :P

    • Yeah I had the same issue. I quoted my original order number (not the one in today's email) and that was right.

  • +1

got off the phone. I have selected option 1, they said they will reply email which model.

    • Same here :)

      • Same.
They must have run out of the V525w models.
They'll probably offer the V725w model next, LOL.

        • That would be very awesome

        • +3

Lol I wonder if the last person to buy this deal will end up with the best top-of-the-range printer out of all of us haha!

  • +2

Rang up, didn't take long. Dude didn't know which model they'll be replacing with, he said 'most likely the higher model'.

For the people complaining about the long ETA to delivery… and going for the refund. Seriously how many of you bought this because you needed a printer RIGHT NOW and due to this catastrophic screw up must now recover that whole $9 in order to buy another printer.

    • -4

I like my house being Dell free.

      • +3

Why are you even viewing this deal?

  • Just called Dell. They really didn't give me indication which printer I will get apart from "it could be a 313 or 414 or 525". Very vague. They said that they will send me another email once they have confirmed which one to send.

  • I ordered on the 22/06, revised delivery date of today. Haven't received anything yet, and haven't received any e-mail saying they're out of stock. Wonder how much longer I'll be waiting…

    • For $9, I can wait as this isn't something urgent.
