With this deal I picked up an ASUS ROG 27" PG278Q monitor from Kogan for $850 delivered. Best net price I found previously was $995 plus postage. Had my eye on this monitor for a few months, but told myself I would wait till it was at least under $900.

  • Convinced myself to get a msi gtx 970 for $450

  • I got a Dyson DC45 free with a DC54 Animal Pro - pickup at TGG Banksia for 793.60.

The link to the deal is here:

  • Anyone not able to view the 'Sold' history on listings? , I get 'Page Not Responding'. If it is the case, that's pretty dodgy from eBay.. just wanted to see how much sellers have jacked up the prices by.

    • I get the same on some, but not all listings.

  • Have got to give a shout out to the Good guys, ordered yesterday, just delivered then. Hard to beat that for turn around time.

  • Bought a Fujitsu 2.5KW aircon for $719 from TGG which after the $150 cashback offer will bring the price to $569. The installation is going to cost more than the machine.

    • geez an install should cost around $200 (as per overhearing a sparky say how much he charged)

im sure mine cost me $180 (in SA) last year

      • +1

        Really? $180? I paid $650 per ac…. :(

      • +1

That might just be for the electrical connection of the aircon as some installers are not sparky's so have to contract a second person. Never heard of an aircon being installed and wired for $200 all up.

        • Window units maybe?

        • @outlander: Still need piping, insulation, isolation switches, etc. I just had a Mitsubishi MSZGE80KIT installed in my garage, cost $2900 all up and I believe about $400 of that was installation. Done by a qualified electrician and his apprentice. I got it very cheap as I'm in a brand new house and the installation was right beside the fuse box.

Installation is not cheap, especially if you want it done correctly.

        • @Ebany: Wow - fancy garage!

        • @danyool: Like you wouldn't believe :)

      • Can you please PM me the contact details of the person who installed yours? Cheers!

      • around $500~600 is market price, $180? Did you check his license?

        • +1

i must have been thinking of a downlight i had installed at the same time… looked back at my messages and i paid $700… sorry

    • 2.5kw not a qualifying model?

      • 3.5kW or less gets $150 visa card from Fujitsu.

  • sony x1000v comes down to $450 delivered from ted's cam. After placing order got shock at UHS-1 U3 64gb prices.

  • Fujitsu c7.1kw h8kw from tgy comes to $1200 after 20%off and $200 cash back. After placing order got shock at installation price quoted from $650 to $850.

    • Thats very pricey. They have installation prices listed in Major electrical stores and its nowehere near that figure, unless you have issues with electrical feed/switchboard needing work

      • I used EZYAIR who have a good rep at whirpool forums and they start at $680 for back to back install.

      • From TGG not tgy typo. Thank god you are talking about installation not the machine itself. TGG quote $850 but I call around the cheapest is $650 as it's a higher power rating, my friend has a fujitsu 3.5kw installed at $550.

  • Did anyone get confirmations from cash rewards about their eBay transaction yet?

    • I haven't received anything and bought over 5k.

Last time there was an ebay sale same thing and no money got credited.
This time I took photos so will be contacting them if nothing gets credited.

      • Thanks. That's disappointing.

      • Just got mine… Hope you get yours.

        • +1

Just got mine earlier. $124 Good little saving

    • yes, i made three transactions and forgot to do 2 of them!! :(

the one i did, got the confo for it

  • Just bought Karcher WV50 Plus Window Vacuum cleaner at TGG $79.20 click and collect.

  • Anyone know how to initiate a return to Dicksmith eBay? Bought a bag but decided i don't like it. It was click and collect. The item description says returns are accepted within 14 days?

    • if that is the Everki bag.. i'll gladly buy it off you.. PM me if so :)

      • Nah it's the toffee ipad rucksack. Those everki bags look nice though!

    • I bought a toaster and haven't picked it up yet. I want to cancel and get refund or store credit

    • I went to the good guys for my click and collect order and was able to cancel it on the spot no questions asked. Will take about 3-5 days for credit to be refunded to paypal

      Happy Days!

Ducky Shine 4 for $176 delivered (from PCCG) is the cheapest I have seen it for the last 6 months. Fantastic mechanical keyboard.

    • If I can get a full sized ducky for <$100 I'd go for it but they're always so expensive. Supply and demand I suppose, and people are willing to pay a LOT for these luxuries.

      • +1

I received my first Ducky keyboard last week and now understand why these things cost so much. The thing is total quality & built like a tank. Way above my expectations.

      • +1

Fair enough that you don't see the value in these or I am guessing any mechanical keyboard (as it is very rare to see one <$100). That said the normal price from PCCG for the Ducky Shine 4 is $199 + $18 postage (if you can't pick it up). So for someone like me, who has been monitoring the price for the last six months and now paying less than $176 is certainly a good deal.

  • Hi why doesnt it work. where do you type in the Code? it give me a error "This coupon isn't eligible to use on at least one item in your order" buying from kogan. im at checkout review order page.

    • Please help I also have an error saying I have used code too many times
I have only used it twice but I tried my paypal special $10 code and then the ebay 20% off code and maybe it has included that as a third attempt

X-ch20: The maximum number of times this Redemption Code can be used has been reached, and it can no longer be used.

    • Maybe because it's Kogan? I've got some weird issues with Kogan, where I've got stuff in my cart, and when I move to "Proceed to checkout" it only keeps two, seemingly random, items and everything else from Kogan just disappears. I wonder whether Kogan has some kind of limit on orders??

      • error comes at paypal checkout where it refuses my code

        • +1

And you're sure all the items are eligible?

Edit: Oh, sorry, please ignore. My last comment wasn't directed at you. You'll have to talk to ebay about your issue.

  • trying to buy Kogan Ultrasonic Air Humidifier & Aroma Diffuser with Ioniser from kogan it a home appliance.

    • This?

Health & Beauty > Natural & Homeopathic Remedies > Aromatherapy

This category is NOT eligible for the discount.

  • Ended up buying a TP Link Archer D7 for $148 via Futu Online. Only a saving of $10 off normal price. Oh well.

  • I can't believe I've still got 5… umm, I mean 2 transactions left. Only used a single one so far. Still throwing things around from one cart to another to maximise my "savings".

  • Bought a Roboking and an epilator for my wife from TGG, to be picked up tomorrow, saved nearly $180, thanks OP!

    • Not much of a deal on a global scale considering it's ~$335 in Europe (with 19% VAT) http://www.amazon.de/Roboterstaubsauger-Intelligente-Raumerk…

      • I actually bought the model up, the VR64702LVMP, cheapest price I can find locally…there were some re-furbished ones on eBay for cheaper, but I much rather pay for a bit more for a brand new one with 2 year warranty…

        • Where did you buy it?

        • @raybies:

From TGG - with CTECH20 + cashback, it worked out to be approx $700, and I could pick it up at my local Good Guys too…

  • Hey guys I jumped the gun on some computer parts mainly a gtx 970, thinking they would sell out of stock fast, turns out they didnt, if my purchase was on the 29th do you think I'll have issues redeeming the witcher promotion? or will it go by the delivery date since I don't have the items yet?

Also need some advice on a good all in one water cooler thats part of the sale? Not planning on OC'ing much or at all, but worried the RAM i got is too high for a CPU fan cooler, plus the water coolers look kinda cool lol

    • What do you mean? If you've entered the code at checkout and the discount was applied, then you had no issues redeeming the voucher, no?

I've been reasonably happy with my Corsair Hydro, but you need to know what best suits your needs. As for RAM, there really isn't that much difference between the branded RAM sticks. I'd just get what's cheapest at the time, though I've been buying a lot of Crucial lately.

      • I'm talking about the free game, not the discount, that worked fine thankfully.

yeah the H100i seems to be at the top of most peoples lists, but they arre pricy compared to a 212 EVO

        • Oh, sorry, don't know about the free game, but these things generally go by purchase date, which generally is when you pay. Some retailers invoice you on the date of delivery, so this might complicate the issue. If you've paid within the promotion period, you should be eligible.

    • if my purchase was on the 29th do you think I'll have issues redeeming the witcher promotion?

Yes. Did you get a redemption code or anything?

or will it go by the delivery date since I don't have the items yet?

No, it goes by the purchase date.

      • Well its one day before the promotion officially started, I may try and get a refund and repurchase so that I can have a new invoice done, otherwise I'm in trouble and miss out on a free game :(

        • Ask and they may give it to you, but they don't have to.

  • Has anyone ordered in past more than one phone and been charged import duty etc for them?im wondering if the value these at there full price or the price with 20% off?
As if there full price then if hit with import fees etc then deal is not as good.
Is it better to order one at a time than two same time and will they not see two was ordered and ship them both same time?
I did read somewhere that could order in another name and address yes could use wife's name but address would need to be same.
Or can one be sent to au post parcel locker but saying that they might not deliver to a parcel locker it being a courier?
Need to get two phones not sure what models yet but with discount is under $1000 but if they value at ebay price then be over not sure what to do.

    • The store you purchase from will get the full amount, so you will get an invoice for the full amount and have to pay import fees accordingly.

  • What is the purpose of limiting the code for 3 transactions? They already have cap the amount claim.

    • Because they know it's unlikely people will utilise this 'cap' in three average transactions.. Therefore they aren't 'spending' this cap amount per customer, it would be a lot less..

    • It's probably because they want a limit on the full amount people can spend. After all, it does cost them some money to do this.

    • psychological probably

  • Are there any good deals on 20-22 inch monitors?

It'll be mainly used for doing university work/assignments, so don't need a high end one, just a reliable one would do.

Fair enough to charge a little more for ebay fees and included shipping but this is just taking the piss…$82 v $147

I agreed. Have you consider the raspberry pi2 as home theater?

      • I'd love something smaller but want to keep WMC for FTA recordings. I know it's possible with Pi, NUC etc but they all seem to be a little glitchy from what I've read.

    • $82 v $147

Not exactly fair to use those figures. $82 on their main site doesn't take into account shipping.

Shipping to 2000 costs minimum 18 (I assume this is also the eBay delivery method), making PCCG $100.

CTECH20 brings it down to $117.6 through eBay.

You have a point but your numbers don't reflect the actual differences.

      • -1

Taking the piss is a fairly loose term and based on your calculations I think it's still appropriate to use for $100 v $147 (their standard ebay price so let's leave the promo out)

A moot point now since PCCG are keeping an eye on this thread and have marked it out of stock in their ebay store but still have it available on their website.

    • -1

Unless I'm mistaken, which is never since I'm a Leo, Ebay calculates these automatically. Imagine having to individually work out a new price which included Ebay/Paypal fees and freight for each of the thousands of items a shop sells.

So freight from their website for me costs $40 (or $133 for express) + $15 (roughly) insurance, Paypal/Ebay fees amount to about $20. Then add in a 20% CTECH discount ……. these guys lose a crap load of $$ every-time I buy one of their Ebay items, even without the -20%.

Honestly, the people who cause these fluctuations in price are Ebay, but since they're putting on a 20% discount I won't complain :)

      • Checked a few postcodes and shipping looks to be a flat rate of $18 from their site. I'm happy to be corrected but I think you're wasting money on insurance as the product is the seller's responsibility until you accept delivery.

        • +1

Definitely not a flat rate, have ordered a heap of gear over the years and can confirm it's based off post code & items.

Example: Take one of their gaming systems (PCCG Dragon 980 Gaming System ) as an example. For delivery to Karratha (6714) the cost is about $200, or $900 for express, and there are more expensive areas than Karratha. Free shipping attracts all those people from Melville Island to Nhulunbuy so I can't blame the company for insuring they're financially covered.

Your right about insurance, the shipping company has a Duty of Care to delivery the item in the same condition as it was received from the sender.

        • @Ebany:

Nhulunbuy was one of the postcodes I originally checked. Just tried Melville Island and Karratha and they're all coming up as $18 shipping.

I'm either doing something wrong or you're just trolling.

        • @Roscoe99:
On their website, they don't have a flat rate. That PCCG Dragon 980 Gaming System is $38 delivery to Sydney or $81 to Perth.

A psu and gc is $20 to Sydney and $25 to Perth.

        • @ozhunter:

Thanks for your input buddy but if you go back a couple of posts you'll see I'm trying to clarify the freight charge for a PC case.

          http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&c…

Appears to be the same price to get it shipped anywhere in the country including remote areas…$18

        • @Roscoe99:

For that specific case, it does seem to be $18 shipping fee nationwide, but in general they don't have a flat-rate on shipping.

        • @Roscoe99:
You said it yourself, moot point as they are watching this thread. Since I did some post code checks I guess they have locked the Aust Post delivery fee at $18, or there's an error on their side or your side.

Have you found any other items which happen to have their Postal Charge locked?

Regardless, as luck would have it I did a screen capture as I had intended to link it, in the end I couldn't be bothered uploading it as I didn't presume I'd be called a troll for mentioning PCCG charge according to post code.

        • @Ebany:

Last time you claimed shipping was $40 but your screenshot shows $137. That would have looked much better in your original calculation.

        • @Roscoe99:
For me shipping was (and I assume it still is) $40. For some reason your making the assumption that the screenshot I provided shows my post code, it's simply there because you required proof that PCCG don't (or didn't) charge a flat rate of $18 for shipping this item.

Received tracking receipts for all my transactions from cashrewards. Sweeeeeeeeet.

    • Same here, even for the ones I thought I forgot. Must've still been active from the day before. Phew! That's another $50 in my pocket. :)

  • Does anyone know if you get an official company tax invoice emailed immediately with these online stores or only when you pick the item up?

    • You can get is from your Paypal transaction history, failing that it will come with the item in most cases.

  • Thanks.
    Purchased Moto G.

    • What price did you get it at? Hasnt the price gone up since Sunday morning?

  • Bloody Kogan, just increased prices on a few of the items I had ready in my cart. That's what you get for waiting around!

  • -3

Just got off chat with Ebay, because I'd been charged the full amount of the purchase, ie no discount, even though my ebay purchase receipt states that I got the discount, and the discounted amount is all I authorised payment for in Paypal. It really concerns me that a higher amount can be deducted than what is authorised, and I didn't really get a satisfactory response as to how that can happen.

Anyway, according to the 'consultant' I was chatting with, MOST who have participated in this promotion have had the same thing happen. I guess that translates to, if you've been charged the correct amount, consider yourself lucky.

They will refund the difference, but he couldn't give me a timeframe for when that would happen.

    • +5

Did you check you paypal account?

I bought something from the good guys and it lists the full amount before the discount. But when you click details it will show that the voucher was applied.

Ah hah! Thank you SO much! It's a shame the 'consultant' I spoke to wasn't able to provide this info.

As an aside, in doing it this way they've stuffed the extended warranty I would have gotten with the credit card, because the purchase was no longer fully funded by the card. Oh well, they're Ebay. It's their job not to be straightforward.

        • Ah hah! Thank you SO much! It's a shame the 'consultant' I spoke to wasn't able to provide this info.

It's a shame that you didn't take a few minutes to take a look at your PayPal account before throwing around accusations.

As an aside, in doing it this way they've stuffed the extended warranty I would have gotten with the credit card, because the purchase was no longer fully funded by the card.

Of course you have insurance with your credit card if the total amount you paid was funded from your credit card. The 20% was a discount from ebay and this is no different to Myers offering 20% off storewide.

Oh well, they're Ebay. It's their job not to be straightforward.

They're perfectly straightforward, it's not their fault that you don't understand.

        • +1

@Maverick-au: While I agree that Geewhizz should have had a proper look at his PayPal account before making an issue out of nothing, I'm not sure you're right concerning the extended warranty. If the T&Cs state that a purchase needs to be fully funded with the credit card, this most certainly has not happened. Technically speaking, only 80% of the purchase was funded with the credit card, 20% were contributed by ebay. Different credit cards have different T&Cs, but I can see how they could reasonably argue that "fully funded" doesn't apply.

Mind you, this is very different from Myer having 20% off storewide. It is more like Myer giving you a $20 voucher to make a $100 purchase. In the latter case, you only cover 80% off the $100 purchase with your credit card. In the former case, on the other hand, you cover 100% off a $80 purchase with your credit card. Very very different in terms of the purchase being fully funded with the credit card.

        • It's a shame that you didn't take a few minutes to take a look at your PayPal account before throwing around accusations.

Of course I checked Paypal before I contacted Ebay . Paypal told me I had paid the full amount, as did the person I spoke to at Ebay, and NO, I don't have insurance on the CC. I don't know how other people's paypal transactions are worded, but the 20 per cent does not show as a discount - clearly states that my purchase was $478 and only 382 of it was funded on the CC, with a separate funding source for the remainder. The T&Cs of my CC are very specific about this.

        • @Geewhizz:

Of course I checked Paypal before I contacted Ebay .

I said check your PayPal account not contact PayPal, it's pretty obvious when you look at the transaction how it works.

and NO, I don't have insurance on the CC.

Really? Have you already made a claim and had it refused? If not you have no idea if you have it or not. It's clear that ebay is offering 20% from the transaction on PayPal.

Why don't you actually log into your PayPal account and take a look?
