Tips:

  • Use "add to basket" if you are buying more than one item to minimise the number of times you use this coupon, while ensuring your basket holds less than $1,500 of items to avoid the $300 cap.
  • Do your research first. Some retailers/items may be overpriced, certain items will be cheaper elsewhere even without the 20% off.
  • As always don't forget 2% cash back from Cash Rewards. Help
  • Dick Smith is having their own sale on their site. It's always best to compare the prices between DSE eBay and the DSE website.

      • probably because it was posted on slickdeals and the Americans were too busy buying ebay gift cards :)

  • Here we go again..

These 20% off eBay deals are so stressful!!

    • Exactly what I thought.

  • +5

can u buy now pay later with the discount so that they dont up the price?

    • Would like to know this too

    • We're not even sure if the deal is confirmed lol

      • thats the worry, but like i was thinking of buying something from kogan. current 10% off + potential future 20% off. it the deals not confirmed i just wont pay, what are they gonna do

    • +3

It worked for me on that 20% off everything deal a few days ago.

Committed to buy an iphone 6 from group deal for $679. Held off paying it for few days until the 20% deal hit the scene.

Added the code at the payment screen, worked like a charm. So got another $98 off the price.

      Received the iphone this week.

      • How did you do this? I'm in the same boat..
Do I just click buy now or add to shopping basket ?

I originally clicked the buy now which took me to the PayPal screen where I can enter a discount code but I don't want to choose pay or whatever with out adding the code, so do I just leave it on this screen ?

        • +1

I think it depends if the seller lets you 'commit to buy' instead of Buy now.

      • +1

        You lucky bastard.

  • +3

Kogan canon 6D $1682.77 should come down to $1382.77 after the $300 off.
    Fingers crossed

      • +8

The way I read it is maximum of $300 discount per transaction.

And since 20% of 1682 is 336 I would hit the $300 cap

      • +1

        3 discounts of $300 mate.

    • Nice - Kogan doesn't have GST (for TRS) does it?

      • +1

        Nope

      • I was thinking this also.

The Good Guys also has it if you plan on going TRS… which i will also too

    • Kogan removed their listing yesterday but GoodGuys still had theirs at $1899 bringing it down to $1599 - minus TRS :)

  • Unfortunately this deal starts just before some of us will receive the $50 voucher from the current eBay deal!

    • +3

you cant use both for the same transaction anyway it says cant be used with any other offer.

  • +1

Ouch… Spending money again… the deals really make me want to spend more and more money :C

  • +2

    What's your association?

  • +1

Did someone actually find an actual "non inflated" bargain?

  • im on the lookout for a proper gaming laptop, whats around?
    or should i go ps4?

    • +1

      Gigabyte laptop range

    • +5

I'd either go for a gaming desktop or the ps4 never a gaming laptop

    • PS4 or Xbox One, both are really good buys at this point.

    • try snag a clevo

    • I recommend not going the laptop route if you want to do any serious gaming. If you want to play the likes of Hotline Miami, battleblock theatre, super meatboy etc go right ahead, but don't buy a laptop purely for gaming. You should invest your money on a PC if you want to buy a gaming system. Mind you, if you want something a bit cheaper, go for a PS4. If you know how to build a PC, you could easily make one that runs games fluently for around 500AUD.

      • I'm researching how to build my first PC from scratch at the moment. The parts are currently sitting at about $700 and I haven't picked a monitor yet.

I can't imagine cutting costs much further for a decent gaming PC. Am I doing something wrong?

This is my partlist if you want to know what I picked.

        • +1

Obviously a PC gives you a fair bit more functionality.
For it to be in the ~$500 ballpark, you could get a dual core processor like this pentium (You would need to change the Motherboard):

          http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646g3258

And you are not going to want that Power Supply. Only buy modular, that being you can interchange cables, otherwise you will have a bunch of redundant ones that take up space. I would suggest this if you could manage with 430W:

          http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cx430m

          As for the GPU:

          http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-r9270gaming2g

What i would suggest is that you take your time in purchasing these components. The 20% off eBay deal going around would allow you to save a tonne, qualify for a $50 voucher. I would assume Kogan would be your go to for that sale.

The new AMD GPU's just came on the market, so you will likely see a drop in the 270's price within the next few weeks. A fully capable card for running 1080p at max for a lot of games, medium for the likes of Metro, Crysis etc. more taxing games

Essentially, what you have is a FAR more capable gaming machine in comparison to a console. You will be thanking yourself, especially with cheaper games. The steam sale just finished, but the Humble Bundle for example has Borderlands 1 for $1. Ridiculous. All the best.

    • +1

Don't try gaming on a laptop or you will regret it. Get a proper gaming desktop and if you still need portability, use your phone or get a cheap notebook.

      • how do you use your phone to get portability out of your gaming desktop?

    • Gaming laptop is ALWAYS WAY more expensive than buying a faster gaming desktop AND an adequate laptop.

  • Do Toys R Us provide the option of free instore pickup?

    • They don't do pick up at all.

  • +1

Waiting for confirmation of the deal before getting excited :/

  • It is real

  • I hope this is truer than Telstra $45 plan

  • Hope I remember.

  • Nice should bring the LG g4 from kogan down to $543

    • that would be a great price for the G4

    • +1

      • Free delivery, and I don't care about the back since il have a case :)

        • +1

Ah yea, sorry. Their ebay store is free delivery, their website isn't

    • How do you get $543?? 10% off from Kogan is finished on 25th and this one start on 26th.

Dell 34" curved here i come!

    • Me too….probably. Slightly more expensive than last time as price has gone up.

Do a fair bit of design work in Illustrator and worried that straight lines will appear curved. Not sure if I would get used to it.

Anyone who bought one last time have any review comments?

    • -7

Max transaction amount is $300, so I think you'll only save $60

      • +2

I think it's actually a max saving of $300. You can buy up to $1500.

        • +2

          I'm glad I was wrong :)

      • How do you know his name is Max?

    • Didn't know these existed, looks, sees dual curved setup, wants two now….

  • Can we use Dick gift card on eBay?

To combine it with the 10% off gift card.

    • +1

  • Samsung s6 $700 at dicksmith. Not going to happen.

  • sad.. no new computer parts for me.. wish PC case gear was part of it..
    Futu online are really expensive..

  • No Appliances Online or Pccasegear :(

  • still no PS4 deal too… :(

    • +1

you can keep an eye on this one

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-PlayStation-4-500GB-Console-3…

would come down to $407~ after the 20% if they dont raise the base price and 2% from cashrewards

similar to BigW Deal if your not able to get stock at your local BigW store. $9 more expensive but comes with an extra game.

      • This deal has ended. Seems strange that it ends just after the possible ebay sale is announced.

    • +1

I'd probably avoid getting a PS4 right now, since Sony just announced at E3 the new 1TB model and tweaks to the existing 500Gb model apparently to launch in PAL countries July 15th. So the current ones should in theory drop in price to make way for the new stock.

  • +1

No officeworks. I need a tonne of new stationary.

    • Literally? :)

    • +5

There's no point in standing around waiting for it to come to you.

    • Damn autocorrect. :)

  • +1

looking to buy a 50-55" LG or Panasonic or Sony tv, doesn't look there's much availability… :(
