      • Umm do they sell any/many at that price…

    • +1

      Oof.. this is too tempting..

Anyone got one of these and have cats? I fear seeing extra B&B fertiliser one morning 🤔🤔

      • The robot won't be able to catch a cat.

        • +3

And if it did hard not to argue simple natural selection at play…

      • Have two cats is fine. Neither lay on the grass, but the cutting blade is much smaller than the body, so they'd get bumped before anything gets under it I'd expect.

    • This is the lowest price for this I have ever seen so I have ordered one. Landroid is also on sale, check that one to compare.

    • Some pretty ordinary reviews about the product, and the company on productreviews. Might be worth checking out if you’re considering buying this.

      • Many people here say they are happy with it.

        • +1

Have one, happy with it. Happy to answer qs if people have them. Was hard getting info before I bought mine :)

paid for 2582 then cancelled the deal…

I reckon lenovo is better, but again, as you can see so many company are dumping their flag or sub flagship model, I assume next gen would be so much better in performance, it will be released in first quarter 2022, so I wait.

Rather get the latest not last

        • The Lenovo has a larger TDP. 140w versus 100w I believe. But the Razer is more compact.

        • -3

lenovo has overall building quality IMO, but if you want razor, youd better quick, only 2 left….
many ppl post this deal for past few month, I reckon it is return and resell unit…

          • +1

            @nng526: That's a lot of assumptions.

          • +2

@nng526: Lenovo legion 5 Pro and Razer Blade 14 are not comparable. Sure one's more powerful that being the Legion but you need to take into account that the legion is technically a Desktop replacement weighing in at 3.5kg including the charger while the blade 14 by itself weighs 1.7kg and 2.3kg including the charging brick. The blade 14 is the most powerful 14 inch gaming laptop money can buy.

      • +2

        They're two fundamentally different devices.

Do you want a portable laptop that you take with you everywhere in a backpack that can also game and do some serious number crunching? Get the Blade 14.

Do you want a laptop that will almost always be sitting on your desk and only taken out occasionally? Get the Legion.

The Blade 14 is an ultraportable that can game, the Legion is a desktop replacement that can be easily moved.

    • +1

      16gb ddr4 3200 FIXED ON BOARD….

      • -3

Who cares? 16gb is more than enough for gaming. By the time it isn’t the rest of the laptop will be obsolete anyway.

    • +5

People waiting for next gen…but it'll probably cost alot more than this price.

So how long are you gonna be waiting? Lol

      • @Adelv some times long time not as good. Sometimes short time is better because more powerful and you remember it for longer

      • 6 MONTH, actually I got really powerful desktop ATM, I have got budget for new laptop.
Laptop only for work for next half year, so I can wait…

    • Blades have come a long way, my old 2017 model came with 1060 and a i7 Dual core

      • They sure have!
I remember my first Blade, the 14" from 2014. It came with 16GB of RAM back then.
My next one, in 2017, well, it also came with 16GB of RAM.

This one, in 2021, it now comes with… Ah… Yeah…

I bought a new laptop this year. Needless to say, it was not another Blade.

        • let me guess. the laptop you bought this year also had 16gb ram.

          • @shabaka: Not any more. Swapped it for a 64GB kit so I can use my laptop for more than just gaming.
Unlike the Blades, the memory is not soldered.

            • @O15: I think it's a bit much to expect powerful graphics, big CPU, half decent battery, and 2 ram slots under the hood in a 14 inch chassis

all blade 15 and 17 have 2 ram slots. 14 feels like a niche product really and I do agree with you there that a high end performance laptops should come with 32gb if it's soldered, but 16 is also serviceable and is targeted at the audience that is happy with 16

when I got my blade 17 first thing I did is opened it up, and put in 2x16 ram for a healthy 32gb setup. it's considered normal with all gaming machines

    • Is the price correct? I purchased this laptop earlier today using both coupons and the final price was only down to $2,596.50

      • Oh Yep thats right. I'll correct it now.

    • NOTE: The Item may say Out of Stock - But this seller tends to change the quantity numbers all the time for more sales? Think the seller is taking a day off for boxing day so keep tabs on this deal if you're interested tomorrow Morning since he will most likely update the quantity count again.

    • +2

Cheapest price I've seen and is definitely a good deal. Before this the cheapest in the past was Bing Lee selling it at $2799. Note the RRP was $3999

The 3070 is the sweet spot for the blade 14 due to the chassis size

It shouldn't be compared to the l5pro which the OzB community loves as it is more a desktop replacement ( bigger screen size and GPU wattage ) compared to the blade 14.

However the blade 14 is alot more portable (1.78kg v 2.6kg) and also the lade 14 has a 5900hx compared to the 5800h in the l5pro which would be great for productivity/ video editing.

    • +2

      8 days till CES2022.

12th gen have huge gains in multicore performance and battery life thanks to new p+e core configs and 6000 series have huge gains with regard to iGPU that you dont need low end dgpus anymore and saves battery life as well.

This is a good deal but I dont recommend anyone to get it unless you need it now.

Yeah sure, new gen laptops wont have this kind of discount, but you will also get better performance to go with the price tag. Even if you dont think the gains are worth it. Older 2021 laptops will only go down in price by then.

      • +1

12th gen will still be too power hunger for a 14” and iGPU is irrelevant when you have a 3070. Plus new models won’t be anywhere near this price.

    • These are great in "Bridge Mode" not the fastest as a Router, but Bridge Mode is fine and works with any ISP\NBN,

Also works well with Gigabit Wired Backhaul, you connect the Backhaul "LAN" into the "LAN" port and you can connect and physical devices, including switches to the "GLOBE\WAN" port. Wiring the other way causes issues.

    Westinghouse 90cm Gas Cooktop WHG958SC

    ✓ Cast iron trivets
    ✓ Flat Trivets

    ✓ Easy under knob ignition
    ✓ Flame Failure Device
✓ LP Gas Conversion kit included

    Original Coupon Deal

    • We have the 60cm version of this and love it! the wok burner is insane, super powerful and perfect for doing steaks in a cast pan but can be turned into a small, low power burner too; the included trivet is really nice, but being pointy some pans are a little slippery; the other burners are a perfect balance.. the tiny one is perfect for small saucepans and the larger ones are great for wide pots or stockpots.

Only gripe is coming from enamel coated to stainless, cleaning it can be a laborious process if you forget it once.

If I didn't have such a small kitchen I'd jump on this deal as the 60cm is a bit cramped

      • I also have the 60cm version of this. Do you have issues with ignition on the wok burner? Flame keeps going off when I release the knob and it takes 6-7 attempts for the flame to stay. the other 3 burners work on 1st go.

    • +1

Would prefer designs where the larger burner rings to be at front instead of at the back, where it is often near and against the flashback and you can’t put a bigger pan or pot there.

Unless your cook top is on an island bench.

      • +1

Those burners typically generate more smoke/steam which need to be captured by your range hood. If they are out the front then it will not be at the optimum alignment. It's a trade off.

        • Not really. On that basis, you will have the wok burner in the middle to capture all fine oil vapours during wok frying… instead of being on the side.
That’s assuming the range hood is limited and not able to extract enough from the cook top area.

Razer Blade 15, resolution only at FHD but 360hz, $400 cheaper.

And you can find more 3080 under $3500 @ebay.

      • Yes but apparently the display is very washed out and razer has some quality issues. Just what I have heard on reviews no personal experience

    • Since you are already willing to shell out 4k for a high end laptop, you may consider:

      [1.3k extra] (https://www.pbtech.com/au/product/NBKASU533006/ASUS-ROG-Stri…) for same form factor (15.6), with 150w 3080ti with mux, 32gb ddr5 and a i9-12900h. It is 500grams heavier however.

      • Its 5K

        • +2

I did say in my comment its 1.3k extra? You are going to get a hell lot more performance than an gimped 3080, and since one is already paying a very high premium for an high end rog, they very well may consider to spend the extra cash for better performance.

      • This is actually a decent laptop, if you have the budget for it.

    • +2

Relatively low power 3080. No better than the 3070.

At this point I'd just wait at least for a 12th gen intel

      • Just so you know, the 12th gen intel zephyrus m16 listings are already up on oz shops. And the 12700/16gb/3050ti version costs 3.2k

But yeah this 3080 is pretty weak. Just the premium one gotta pay for an high end rog model unfortunately.

        • Oof thats expensive. Well there goes that plan.

          • @ChickenDinner123: Yeah I dont have high hopes for this years laptops, not for anything else but the pricing seems (profanity) up looking at the inital rog pricings for their lineup this year-even given the rog premium it seemed a bit too high. Did the semi conductor shortage finally starts to affect laptop prices as well? Even lenovo seemed to be silently raising prices on last years models and the sale pricings seemed to be worse every month.

    • Gigabyte A5 with ryzen 9 and 3070 140w is $2100+ on eBay sales, or $2200+ in regular stores (centercom, umart)

      240hz FHD panel, too

      • Do you have the ebay link?

        • Ebay deal is no more, cheapest right now is at PLE for$2249

But if you want a cheap but good 3070 laptop right now, shell out just $150 more for 2k165hz panel, 145w 3070, 32gb ram, 2tb ssd, 11800h and per key rgb mech keys.

          • @Brrrrt: that's the one I returned. overheating and general quality issues

            • @shabaka: clevo is not know for having good quality neither mate. Again this is just a gigabyte logo on a clevo chasis, and is a far cry from gigabyte's own designs.

perhaps you just got a bad unit.

              • @Brrrrt: I had a Metabox (almost the same Clevo chassis) last year, it was more reliable than any of the units from HP, Razer, this X15, and Alienware that I recently returned. and didn't struggle thermally either

                • @shabaka: Because Metabox units are individually built unlike Gigabyte's mass produced clevo units.

There's two types of companies that use Clevo chasis, the first type, the typical western (US/EU/ANZ) smaller company (XMG,Metabox etc) that specializes in premium custom build to order laptops that use Clevo for its ease of customisation, and the latter, the bigger asian companies (Hasee, and Gigabyte's clevo lineups) that mass produce clevo laptops because they are cheap and they market them as budget offerings. And while Gigabyte's australian RRP does not fully reflect their budget origin. They are the budget option in China, Taiwan etc.

Metabox does have very good quality, because they make them one by one and test every one-which is why you might think they have better build quality than the big brands, because the big brands manufacture so much, they only have time to test a small sample out of a big batch. This is why the common uneven backlight bleed, burnt pixel or bad thermals (usually caused by uneven spread of thermal paste or that the heatsink unit is not mounted evenly) will occur even in the most premium brands but not Metabox.

As for thermals, I cant agree that its due to the chasis's good design. It is an older chasis after all. Metabox's been using thermal grizzy for a while now. So I would say its mostly due to that. Oh and metabox does apply a stock cpu undervolt to all their machines so that might also have been part of the reason.

        • looks like I bought the last one, from titan_gear. there were other sellers but less discount

      • +1

a bit different though the a5 is a cheap plastic clevo chasis with a gigabyte logo slapped on top and is much more chonky. While with this, you have to factor in not only the rog premium, its 32gb ram, have a much better panel (2k165hz and with 100%P3 coverage thats professional grade graphics), longer battery life and is ligher.

Gaming wise the a5 is much better but this is for those people who want to shell out for an x86 based 'macbook pro equv' lappy
