    Version 3
These numbers are from the latest Hardware Unboxed 12 game average benchmarks for 2022 (https://youtu.be/KugxMJFhx7k?t=616). It doesn't take into consideration Ray Tracing, DLSS, etc I am aware 3k res isn't a thing, but I averaged the 1440p and 4k resolution performance stats. I personally run a 1440p ultrawide, so 3k is about right for me.

Note that the benchmarks used for these version 3 tables are different to previous tables/graphs so the $ per frame figures aren't comparable.

If i see a gpu post without this table now, i get effin cranky :)

      • +4

hahah.. I wish I was smart enough to automate it so it could be on every deal, but I tend to just focus on the ones now that I see as good value compared to recent deals or a good really respected model where the previous best deal was with a lower tier model. Sorry that I do miss some and do make mistakes, there is only so many hours in the day! :-)

        • Just pulling your leg bud. Its one of the best ways to compare without wading thru youtube videos.

    Nice…

If this came up 2 weeks ago I likely would have jumped in, but with recent rumours of nvidea announcements likely before Aug, going to wait (unless something realy low comes up).

  • +1

Will 750w be enough for this beast?

    • should be.. my rtx3090 & ryzen 7 5800x pulled max 550W from the wall when under mining load (both gpu & cpu) on a 750W psu

    • +1

For me it's not enough. 5900x and 6900xt I have black screens every now and then with my Corsair RM750. But I've just undervolted the GPU with the AMD Adrenaline software and no issues since. Will leave it like this until I find a good deal for an 850w PSU.

My old trusty 1070 died yesterday, very tempted. Should I buy this? I don't upgrade very often..

not a bad price and is a really nice card thats future proof its up to you to wait or get this or other good deals

    • +2

      HODL to EOFY

    • +4

I would say hold for another week or 2. With EOFY and 6900XT now playing second fiddle to the 6950XT I feel the 6900XT will get down to just over a grand on special. Just a hunch but worth the 2 week wait I feel.

      • Ok, will hold! Two weeks and counting…

  • Whats the difference between the top and gaming?

    • +1

TUF is a good card, the TOP version runs a little faster and has RGB or more RGB.

    • TOP has slightly higher clock speeds but is otherwise the same. There is no difference in RGB (it is almost non existent).

    • Slightly higher clock speeds on the TOP edition. Not worth paying more for than a standard TUF unless the price is reaaaally similar. In this case that happens to be true.

PC Byte are now also doing the same price. Price war? https://www.pcbyte.com.au/p/asus-amd-radeon-rx-6900-xt-tuf-g…

    • It should be, they are sitting on overpriced stock in a falling market. I'm suprised we are seeing the same few cards in freefall, perhaps they can return other models that don't sell.

  • +1

Nature is healing - good to see this card costing less than a GTX 3070 was this time last year.

Crying on the inside paying over $11xx for 3060 Ti from PLE when it was considered a good deal. Before prices fell quickly.
