IMPORTANT UPDATE 26 JULY 2023: RE Method 2

OlduBil: "Transfers from foreign bank accounts to our bank accounts in Turkey are not possible".

  • OlduBil is no longer accepting deposits/transfers from foreign bank accounts. Please DO NOT make any transfers into OlduBil (i.e. your Türkiye Mastercard) until further notice!

  • If you already have the funds in OlduBil from a previous transfer, you are free to continue with Method 2. For those wanting to top up your Türkiye Mastercard, please DO NOT initiate any transfers into OlduBil from Wise or Revolut until I have a new update

  • For those who do not have funds in OlduBil and wish to utilise Method 2, I'm afraid this is no longer possible at this point in time. Every transfer done is at your own risk!

Background:

Modern problems require modern solutions. Like Xbox Game Passes, Youtube, Netflix, Discord, Google One, Microsoft 365, relocating (virtually of course) to Turkey is usually the best option, with some methods saving hundreds or thousands of dollars each year added up. The processes below are very easy, just take it slow and you'll get there! Just remember you'll be saving hundreds at the end of the day.

Due to a price increase by Spotify worldwide, my previous guide has expired. But no worries, this guide is now better than ever, and combines the two methods together (Google Pay for those who want to use Australian Cards, or Virtual Türkiye Mastercard for those who can't do the Google Pay method) as well as providing more information on extra plans and family systems. There will be some screenshots throughout the sign-up process for OlduBil(see screenshots in the instructions section) from previous testing - and yes, I can confirm the validity of these methods because I don't spend money for nothing. Most important thing - Türkiye is still very cheap!

Thank you so much for all your support and previous comments (I love reading them)! Any comments, concerns, suggestions or feedback are welcome :)

Instructions – Method #1 via Google Pay (Android Required) – If you want to use your Australian debit/credit card

Note: If you currently subscribe to Google One or any other Google services via Türkiye, then you may already have a Türkiye payment profile in your Google account. If this is the case, you may not need to do Part 1 at all (go straight to Part 2).

If you have an existing Google account and don't want to create a new Google account, simply add a new Türkiye payment profile into your Google account (not ideal for Google accounts where the sole user is an Android user or the family system consists of Android users - see why in the notes section of this post. You can create a new payment profile by following these steps: go to https://pay.google.com/gp/w/u/0/home/settings and clicking the pen icon next to "Country/Region" and a link to create a new profile should pop up. You can then add details for the Turkish profile (If needed, use a fake address generator to obtain a random Turkey address).

If you don't have an Android device, and would still like to use your Australian debit/credit card via Google Pay, consider this BlueStacks method by @langh using a PC.

Part 1 – Creating a new Google account

  1. Create a new Google account on your phone.

  2. Delete your Google Play Store cache (this may not be required). If you don't know how to, please see Google's instructions.

  3. Select your new Google account in the Google Play Store app to switch over from your personal account or add it in if it's not there (to do this, click on your top right icon, then click the dropdown next to your account email, then click "Add another account"). Make sure the selected account is your new Google account.

  4. Add a new payment method and select "Turkey" as the country (to do this, click on your top right icon again, then click "Payments and Subscriptions", then click "Payment methods"). If needed, use a fake address generator to obtain a random Turkey address for the payment profile. You can use your Australian debit or credit card (or any card as you wish) and best to use a card with no international transaction fees (Suncorp and Latitude Platinum have no international fees).

Part 2 – Subscribing to Spotify Premium

  1. Boot up the Spotify app and click "sign up" or "log in" with VPN off. If you don't have the Spotify app, download it from the Google Play Store. See link here.

Can I sign up with my Australian Spotify account? - Yes! Simply log in (make sure your current subscription, if any, is cancelled).

  2. Turn on VPN and connect to a server in Türkiye (see Notes section for suggestions) and leave it on for the remainder of the steps below.

  3. Boot up the Spotify app again. Click on the premium tab on the bottom right of the home screen. Select the plan you want. Scroll down to the bottom and make sure the country is set to Türkiye. If it's Australia or another country, click the dropdown and change it to Türkiye.

Alternatively, go to your Spotify account settings on a web browser and check what country is selected. If it's Türkiye, you're good to go. If it's Australia or another country, click the dropdown and change it to Türkiye. However, you still have to double check on the app again on step 3.

Country dropdown box greyed out? - I bet you have a current Premium subscription running? If so, this will have to finish. You can't make changes to your location while Premium is running.

  4. Click on "Google Pay". Complete the Google Pay confirmation prompt to subscribe. Your debit/credit card should already be preloaded (add one if not). If requested for an address, please use your Australian address (new Spotify accounts - family plan sign-ups).

If you get an error, trying clicking the "change plan" option and re-select your plan. Muck around with it a little… Turn VPN on or off etc.

  5. Fly back home and turn off your VPN. YOU'RE DONE! WOOO! Enjoy your savings :)

Part 3 - Family Members (Family plan only)

  1. On the main account (plan manager), go to: https://www.spotify.com/tr-tr/account/family/ to obtain an invite link. Ensure the address listed is your Australian address (DO NOT use a Türkiye address)

  2. Get a family member, friend, bf, gf, or whatever person to accept that link. When requested, enter in the same address as listed in Step 1.

Error? "You need to live at the same address? It looks like you’re trying to join Premium Family from a different country. Premium Family is only available for family members that live together. Try again when you’re at the same address."

Simple solution - go to the relevant Spotify account on a web browser and check what country is selected. If it's Türkiye, you're good to go. If it's Australia or another country, connect to a VPN server in Türkiye, then refresh the page, click the dropdown and change it to Türkiye. Accept the invite again and it should work. You can turn off VPN after this.

Instructions – Method #2 (If you want to use your Virtual Türkiye Mastercard)

Türkiye-based Virtual Mastercard REQUIRED

Please read the following instructions carefully. If you already have a Türkiye-based Virtual Mastercard via OlduBil, proceed with the following instructions. If you do not have a Türkiye-based Virtual Mastercard, STOP HERE and see how to get one here in the instructions section (Part 1 and Part 2): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/784047. I'm in the process of making a wiki page on the Türkiye-based Virtual Mastercard via OlduBil, so stay tuned!

Notes: The Spotify sign up pages may be in Turkish (which is easily navigatable if you have some common sense). Feel free to translate the page to English otherwise.

Part 1 – Subscribing to Spotify Premium

  1. Log in to Spotify (VPN off), or make a new account (VPN off).

  2. Turn on VPN and connect to a server in Türkiye (see Notes section for suggestions) and leave it on for the remainder of the steps below.

  3. Go to the Spotify Premium plans page.

  4. Scroll down and select the plan you want. Proceed to pay with your Turkey-based Virtual Mastercard. If requested for an address, please use your Australian address (new Spotify accounts - family plan sign-ups).

  5. Fly back home and turn off your VPN. YOU'RE DONE! WOOO! Enjoy your savings :)

HELP POINT: Because the popup payment windown cannot be translated to English, here are screenshots of the process in the following order: (1), (2), (3)

Part 2 – Family Members (Family plan only)

ISP Notes (Important)

  • If you currently have a Spotify Premium subscription, simply cancel the subscription and you'll be able to resubscribe via Türkiye. If the current subscription is a family plan, simply cancel the subscription and once you resubscribe via Türkiye (do not let the subscription expire), the entire family system will remain intact and no futher changes will be necessary.

  • Most VPN services will connect to Türkiye, unlike India. Those include NordVPN, Private Internet Access (PIA), free Windscribe Chrome extension (recommended), free UrbanVPN Chrome extension (recommended), ExpressVPN, etc. If one doesn't work, use another VPN.

    • If you're using Windscribe and it shows different currencies: keep turning the windscribe on and off. Each time you don't get TL, turn it off and on, then refresh the Spotify sign up page. You'll eventually land on TL. Go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ each time you turn it off/on and see if you land on Istanbul.

FAQ

Q: Will I need to turn VPN on everytime I listen to Spotify?
A: No! You no longer need to have VPN on every time you use Spotify Premium. VPN is only required for sign up. After sign up, use Spotify without a VPN.

Q: I got charged a different rate compared to the prices on this post. What happened?
A: Due to foreign exchange rates constantly fluctuating, prices will differ by several cents each month

Q: I have an existing Spotify account, can I use the same email?
A: Definitely!

Q: Is signing up to Spotify Turkey going to affect my Spotify library/catalogue?
A: After setting up this sub, you may or may not notice the Spotify catalogue/recommendations may be weird with brand new regional music, etc… but your Spotify catalogue will adjust to what you’re listening to and soon it will look like nothing ever happened

Q: GST/VAT and Tax related questions?
A: Don't worry, there really isn't any tax you need to worry about.

      • Thank you @xdpx
Using your advice, I was able to recover my lost transfer. Process went like you said it would.

          • @xdpx: Positive feedback and a thank you sent!

      • @xdpx You're a legend. Confirming that this worked. I just got my Wise transfer (from Thursday night) credited using by emailing them. The email I sent was based on the template outlined here by @Fatboy74.

      • Hey mate @xdpx,
You are a LEGEND!! I made a transfer last Sunday using Wise to my Oldubil account and nothing happened for 6 days. The transfer was completed in Wise, but did not reflect in my Oldu account. So I used your advice to write the customer support using kind words (i.e. Please, kindly, appreciate & thanks :-) ) and attached the Wise transfer receipt and also provided my GSM #.

WORKED LIKE A CHARM!. They credited my account in less than 8 hours from my first email.

I've given the customer support a nice review with green smiley face. So thanks for the tip. Well worth it!

In case you are curious of the details, they are as follows:

        • Using Method 2
        • Wise account transfer
        • Bank: GARANTI BANKASI
  • Hmm, so are Oldubil transfers via Revolut going through again? Seems like a few people have had luck?

    • +3

just tried this morning.. will update if it goes through

    • +3

      My 2 did from yesterday.

    • Yep working to the new Turkish bank that was mentioned

  • I just set my Oldubu Mastercard last week :(

  • +2

Successfully transferred using Revolut to Garanti bank as per ISP’s instructions on the Xbox Pass post. Took about 30mins for the amount to show in OlduBil account.

    • nice

    • For some reason my transfer from Revolut to Garanti keeps getting rejected. Would you happened to have any idea why?

Finally got google pay method working using a tablet that was signed out of sll other accounts

  • Post should probably mention that for method #1 you have to delete all other Google accounts on the device

Edit: nvm, says that this country can't make Google Play purchases, guess they locked it down.

    • Nah they haven't. I got that error but got it working - see comments on page 4 for posts / instructions I followed

      • Haven't had any luck with any of those, myself

  • I'm getting an error saying "subscription isn't available in your selected country" even though I've created a separate Google account with Turkey payment settings. Any recommendations?

    • +2

Delete every other google account on device.

Clear data of Android Webview, Chrome, Play Services and Play Store. Restart device.

  • Time to sign up to this. Just a couple qstns. Want to use Method 1 - googlepay. I use iphone, but have google account. So I have to use an android phone with this method? And can i use my current google acct, as it talks about creating a new google account?
    Ta

    • +1

I had problems using a new Google account, however he recommended it due to the fact that once you "move" to Turkey, your play store and everything changes to TL currency and can't go back to Australia for 365 days.

However if you use an alternate or new Google account, you can just use it for the subscription then log out and go back to Aussie play store with main account.

  • All gone a bit pear shaped for me.
Had existing money in OlduBil from the Game Pass process, used this to subscribe.

    • sent extra top up cash from Wise to OlduBil on the 25th July, before realising they were no longer accepting foreign transfers
    • money has still not hit OlduBil
    • followed up with OlduBil, provided transfer receipts and mobile no. They said they have not received the money and to follow up with the bank
    • followed up with a Wise support and waiting for a response, still no funds in either Wise or OlduBil
    • +1

I used the following to get Oldubil to find my lost Wise transfer. Once the bank opened up locally in Turkey, It took about an hour to see my funds.

      Hello,

I was hoping you could please help me locate a missing transaction onto my Oldubil card.

      Wallet ID: *******************

The amount deposited was *** TRY through TURKIYE GARANTI BANKASI.

I have attached my transfer receipt.

My GSM registration number is +61*******

      Thank you for your assistance.

      Kind regards,

    • Hiya.
I waited 2 days for my transfer from Wise to Oldubil before contacting Oldubil.
I used the option inside the Wise app and sent the email to Oldubil including a copy of the pdf receipt, plus my Oldubil information - and I tried to be as nice and polite as possible asking for them to check on the status of the transfer.
The money appeared in Oldubil not long after.
      Maybe try Fatboy74's email template.
Let us know how you go.
Seems like Revolut is the way going forwards

  • i just successfully paid the monthly individual for 1 month (my Combank just deducted $2.26) although you must change your google Play Country to Turkey on Google Play for the payment to accept in Spotify apps. I turned off NordVPN and still able to access Spotify with premium but hopefully they wont catch me soon. Im curious if i can buy an additional prepaid 6 or 12 months as i no longer see an option to buy more?

    • confirm i was able to extend the monthly subscription with prepaid 12 months (you will need to do on the web). Now i got 13 months in total. it seems they are not allowing me to extend any further but 13 months would do.

  • Yeah sent $45 from Wise to Oldubil on the 25th July and still hasn't gone through..
Pretty sure that's lost now, unless anyone knows how to get it back??

    • Hey @tobia, send a polite email to Oldubil per above (it's [email protected] if you didn't know)
I sent them an email from inside the Wise app and included the pdf of the receipt.
Just use the template above - thats nice and respectful.

      • yep saw this, thanks. had already sent an email that was polite but didn't include heaps of information but had the PDF. fingers crossed

      • +1

@Zippy7 worked a treat, thanks mate

  • you guys should stop using wise…use revolut instead, its less problematic

    • Yep, that's next on my list (to open a Revolut specifically for Oldubil topup next year)
But Wise worked fantastic for my recent trip to NZ and I already had it available.
I was able to spend 8 days in Queenstown without withdrawing any NZD

      • what is wrong with you…why would you wait next year? it takes like 10 minutes to use the app

        • Because I already transferred money from wise to Oldubil and don't need to send anymore right now…?

  • +2

Ermahgerd what a massive farkaround, but got there in the end using Urban VPN. Thank you, OP.

    • +1

Same here. The particular requirements are a bit more specific depending on your situation. Family plan for less than $4pm is good though.

  • Ok cool got this working!

I used free Windscribe VPN & The Control D DNS setting, using Oldubil for payment!

Just set your country to Turkey in profile before using Australian address for confirmation when adding family members.

Can't believe that Spotify is $250 AUD a year

  • -1

I've cancelled my spotify subscription, but this won't end until 20 August. Do I wait until this fully expires or can I re-subscribe following the steps to obtain this deal?

    • You'll have to wait until the 20th. Prior to it won't let you switch country to Turkey in your profile. Mine ended yesterday (28/7) but the actual ending wasn't until late yesterday afternoon.

  • -2

Anyone has problem transferring money to Oldubil using Wise?

I sent $35 to Oldubil last Tuesday and after 4 days, nothing in my account yet. I checked everything and all numbers are correct

Finally managed to get the Google Pay method working! i logged off all the accounts I had on my phone and left the account that is set up with Turkey payment, cleared cache on Google Play and Google Play Services, and it accepted the payment! Thank you so much!

    • +1

      Ditto (method 1).

      My steps:
      1. Add the newly created Google account to phone.
      2. Sync existing/main Google account, then remove from phone.
      3. Clear Play and Play services caches. Also force stop Spotify and clear cache for that.
      4. Launch Spotify > Premium tab > select your plan > you should see Google Play as an option > scroll down, change country to Turkey > select Google Play and follow through.
      5. Add main Google account back to phone, remove Turkey account, clear Play/Play Services caches just in case, restart phone.

I have signed up successfully on Premium Duo Plan. My partner was on spotify premium individual and it has expired and it shows her spotify membership as "free".

On method 2 Part 1, on the "https://www.spotify.com/tr-tr/account/family/", I change my address from turkey address to Australia address. And then I create the invite for my partner and send via email.

Then I enabled vpn to turkey, ask my partner to login to her email and click on the invite link. On the link web site, I have checked at the bottom on the page, it shows "Turkey" as the country. I click on accept the invite and my partner login to her spotify account, enter her address same as my Australia address, find the address and approve it. it still complain about "It looks like you're trying to join the Duo plan from a different country. Duo can only be used by couples living together. Try again when at the same address.".

    I am stuck. Please help

    • Login to the other accounts go into edit profile VPN Turkey on, change Australia to Turkey then accept the link

  • Followed the steps using NordVPN, but keep getting AUD prices. Tried on my phone and desktop, same outcome. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Ok, so I needed to manually go to the Turkish plans page (while connected via VPN of course) and it worked!

Clicking through from the app as per the guide didn't work for me.

  • Does anyone know if you can switch to the Google Play method once you have an active Turkey account set up via Oldubil?

Seems like Google Play might be less hassle moving forward, given the Oldubil issues.

  • @I Smell Pennies - I think Spotify has blocked your proposed solution for family users getting the below error. When trying to change country, the Edit Profile page makes you enter an e-mail. If you enter any e-mail here (same or different), an error is displayed: "For your protection we are unable to process your request at the moment. Please try again later."

Error? "You need to live at the same address? It looks like you’re trying to join Premium Family from a different country. Premium Family is only available for family members that live together. Try again when you’re at the same address."

Simple solution - go to the relevant Spotify account(spotify.com) on a web browser and check what country is selected. If it's Türkiye, you're good to go. If it's Australia or another country, connect to a VPN server in Türkiye, then refresh the page, click the dropdown and change it to Türkiye. Accept the invite again and it should work. You can turn off VPN after this.

    • I enable vpn to turkey, went to www.spotify.com web site and login. Login to my wife account. Change the country from Australia to Turkey at the bottom of the screen. Click on "Account", edit profile, and the country field is still not allowing me to change to other country other than Australia.

      • Sorry. My bad. Did not realize my PIAVPN was set to bypass VPN for Chrome browser. After enabling VPN for Chrome, it works. Thanks.

        • Make sure the main account has an Australian address not a turkey address. Then the address will match the other members

          • @sandun9: Yep. My main account has region set to Turkey and residential address is set in Sydney.
            1. I cant get my sister to set her account region to Turkey from Australia. (on VPN, we see it as an Option, but it forces e-mail to be entered - which I think should NOT be displayed.
            2. When she enters my Sydney residential address, it gives me the error I originally reported.

            • @p3t0r: For me what I did was I logged into my wife's Spotify account without VPN first, then turned on VPN to Turkey and refreshed the page. It takes some time to load and I was able to change the account region to Turkey. Then I clicked the invitation link (copied the link to my laptop from my phone), and it worked.
Not sure why yours asks for an email address.
Note when you are starting the process from scratch for adding family members make sure you close the browser and open again, clear cache as well.
I do have another account I need to try as well, will let you know if I run into the issue you had.

              • @sandun9: Thanks for taking the time to walk through your experience! I added my wife's account with no issues - like how you described. The difference between my sister's account and wife's account was that the email address was pre-populated on my wife's profile page, whereas my sister's profile page was blank. And having that blank email field caused the issues I described. Th fix for this was to create a new account for my sister (she will manually move playlists over).

                • @p3t0r: No worries at all!
Yeah like even though it's a hassle to move the playlist still worth the deal! $$$

  • Thanks @I Smell Pennies, Method 1 worked a treat.

I don't have an Android device so downloaded an emulator (Bluestacks) and yada yada yada, we're paying Turkey premium prices :)

  • Just got a email from google play saying Spotify is going up by 10TRY from August 29.

  • +2

Spent a couple of hours today trying to do this but have given up now. Could not get google pay to show up as any option in the end and followed all instructions.

    • Did you log out all the other google accounts from your phone too ?

  • Finally got this to work via Method 1 ("Google Play" not "Google Pay"). Individual 1 month. Couldn't get individual 1 year to work. Had to create a new Google TR account (existing one was tied to a family group). Removed all other Google accounts off my spare phone, cleared caches, etc. It sure was hacky but got there.

  • +1

For me, using an existing account didn't work.

I mainly tried using the 'Bluestacks' way, as I had seen someone else got it to work and I use Bluestacks a lot. Didn't work so I tried Nox App Player, same thing.

In the end I gave up and grabbed my old phone (s22 ultra), factory reset it, created a new gmail account, setup the turkey profile using the fake address generator (you'll have to find the post code using this method, google "insert province" post code and throw them all in until one works).

The credit card I used is a Salary Packaging Card (VISA) with Beyond Bank. I also have NAB and UP!, but I didn't try to use them, I imagine they work as well.

-Add the new account to Google Play Store (as it has 1 profile on it, it should automatically set to Turkey)
-Download Windscribe (create a free account), download Spotify.
-Log into Spotify using your normal email/password, then close the app.
-Open Windscribe, set it to Turkey (Instanbul - Galata).
-Open Spotify and procced with 'Method 1, Part 2'.

    Worked first go.

It took 20-30 minutes and cost A$2.25 for the individual plan.

I understand not everyone has a spare android phone sitting around, so I'd recommend doing as I did, but log out of your existing Google Play Store account, clear the cache and log in on the freshly made account until you've gotten everything completed, then simply log out and back into your normal Google Play Store account.

Hoping this helps anyone that needs it and big ups to the OP

  • I can't get this to work….

Got a turkey Gmail with a turkey spotify.

    VPN into turkey using windscribe…

Still get subscription not available through good play.

    Using fresh profile in BlueStacks.

    Anyone with any ideas please?

    • I'm having the same issue…been trying for 2 days now

      • +1

Try Urban VPN. Even though Windscribe Turkey VPN seems to show ok with IP address checker I keep getting the country/payment not accepted. Changed to Urban and it worked. As others say, you need make sure all caches are cleared.

        • Damn tried that any no good still.

          • @JakeTheMuSS: Got it working! Used another account I had..def urban helped! Thanks for the heads up!

  • I am still unable to get on the boat.
created google turkey. using windscribe. changing between the countries. clear the cache too. restart phone etc.
anyone has a complete step by step guide with my situation?
    thank you in advanced.

the error is google play not supported in your country.
      spotify is turkey.

      • Try Urban VPN.

        • You will need to log off your main google account and keep the one you using for Spotify. That's the issue I had with countries.

  • Method 1 worked for me!!
My Premium subscription lapsed on the 27th July, after that I was able to changed my Spotify Location to Turkey.
With my same Google account I created a Turkey payment profile then deleted the Australian payment profile. https://pay.google.com/gp/w/u/0/home/settings
Added my Australian NAB card to my Turkey payment profile
Deleted Webview, Google play store and Google Play services cache and data. Deleted Spotify cache and forced stop.
    Restarted my phone
    Turned on NordVPN location Turkey
Logged into Spotify app and followed the prompts for Premium subscription. Changed the default 1 month for 12 month subscription… followed payment prompts tapping on Google play payment option and SUCCESS!!!

$22.44AUD Charged to my NAB account for a 12 month subscription. Thanks OP!!!!

    • How did you change 1 month to 12 month subscription?

    • How did you change it to 12 months?

On the Spotify app when you tap on the Individual plan option for 39.99TUR, it will take you to the next page where you can scroll down and see 12, 6, 3 or 1 month prices. 12 months is only available for Individual Plans from what I could see though.

        • Ahhh ok! that makes sense now. I'm going the family route, thank you so much for replying.

  • Another awesome write up. Thanks. I am getting to the very end however when I press pay with Google play I am getting a message "something went wrong. Your transaction can't be completed". I have contacted Google Play who have quoted me 24 to 72 hours to fix this issue. Anyone else had similar problems? For reference it is a brand new Google account

    • did you get a resolution to this error?

      • Google ended up blocking my first account for some reason so made a new Google play account and need a debit card that wasn't linked to anything (Google wallet etc) and it worked first go.

  • Thank you very much
Followed guide using bluestacks on a windows computer and was able to create a new google account and update current family using Method 1 to plan - cost is $3.68 per month
Have now completed Tidal for $3 a month and spotify - have options

  • Have managed to get a family plan via method 2 w oldubil. Funds got stuck in limbo for 5 days and i reached out to oldubil's CS email. Got the funds sent to the Turkish virtual account in 5 minutes. Thanks OP

I keep failing for many days when paying with google play, and then I read somewhere in the comment to switch to use Urban VPN (I used free Windscrbe). And then it all went through successfully. Subsribed to duo. I don't even have to switch my spotify account to Turkey first.

    • Thanks for the info, I'll try Urban VPN when I get home.

I used Urban VPN and managed to got through payment through google play! Thanks so much.

One thing different I did this time as well is I didn't change my Spotify account to Turkey. It showed A$ but I scrolled down and changed country to Turkey instead.

    • Urban VPN worked for me too, cheers. Had to create another account to get it to finally work, but we got there lol.

Overall a bit of a headache, but Spotify Family for $3.66 was worth tbh.

  • Got it. Took me a bit. I was getting an error in Spotify about not being eligible.

Fiddled around with the Spotify browser window that had popped up with that error, went into my account. It was still saying I was in Australia, despite the website on my PC saying I was in Turkiye. Changed it and the next attempt went through.

    Thanks for the savings!

  • Anyone else having issues not being able to get up Audiobooks if you're subbed with TRY?

  • Thanks OP. After trying on and off for most of the day. Started off I created a Turkish profile failed because of wrong country so i deleted my main profile and the payment failed.

went around in circles and when i was just about ready to give up the payment went through.

  • Today I transferred TR using Revolut to OlduBil. Received money within 6 hr.

    • How?

      • +1

Using Revolute, Garanti bank transfer method

        • Thanks mate. Worked for me.

  • I transferred TL from Revolut to OlduBil. It shows up as having money deposited but my OlduBil balance is in the negative?

    • +1

All worked out. Sent OlduBil an email and they got it working.

  • Thank you for the guide. Finally worked.

30/07/2023 - Followed Method 1 with Bluestacks as I have Apple. Ran into the issue right at the final step where the GPay payment didn't go through. I contacted Google and asked them to check the security lock on my card/account. They said it would take 1-2 days.

31/07/2023 - Didnt receive any response via email, but tried again and it worked. Assuming they took out the lock.

  • Only way I can add people to my family plan is by logging into their spotify account with the VPN turned on and changing their account location to Turkey and then clicking on the link to join the family account.
Otherwise it gives the message saying you're in a different country despite listing my Australian address. Anyone have a work around to this?

    • Not sure why anyone negged your comment. I also have the same issue.
