    HODL!!!

    • +8

Yep their launch deal smashed this.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891317

      • Cheaper and a better processor! :O

        • +5

If only we could build a time machine!

      • +1

        Damnnn 5k for 5090 9800X3d would 2have be2en insane2.2

        • People probably had to wait a long time for those ;-)

      • nvm it was limited

  • +11

Oooooohh they're coming down!! At this rate we should see reasonable prices in about…. 14 months lol.

*no disrespect to Techfast, I think you're doing a bang up job on delivering great prices to ozb!

  • Price in title and description are different

    • Fixed thanks, it's the new case that means the $10 difference.

  • +4

Real question is - if I order and pay today, with it be delivered BEFORE 30th June …

    • -1

We are consistently hitting our build estimates at the moment at a really high percentage - there will be occasional outliers due to systems not passing testing and needing replacement parts etc which can hold things up, but overall this is not a launch type scenario where ETAs and batches can blow out.

      • +5

Do you keep customers updated if there are issues?

        • +15

From other comments. No. They say they'll update them soon and then never do. (Look a few replies down)

        • +15

They dont, they dont answer emails unless its about a future purchase. Do your research on these guys so you can manage your expectations. They will absolutely lie about build and delivery times all the time, everytime.

          • @Snoopy113: This is exactly what is holding me back from buying - massive blowouts on delivery times.

(Although this deal isn’t for me, I'm looking at the cheaper Techfast deals).

      • +5

I support you guys doing business here with great deals but its also something you guys need to address - I keep seeing this same delivery delay issues over and over again with many posters on OzB.

Ozbargain over the 3k series deals - HODL
Ozbargain over the 4k series deals - HODL
Ozbargain over the 5k series deals - HODL

People who bought a 4090 day one for $3,000 - This was the best decision of my life

Crazy to think there were people in the $2500 deal for the 4090 thread saying that it would take them till $2k for them to pull the trigger and it would still be too much at that price point.

    • +12

2k+ for GPU is stupid indeed

      • Bro really thought

      • +4

People spend way more on hobbies they put way less time into. You're obviously not the market for that kind of product, but there is really no need to try to put down others because of that.

  • +13

Ahhh Techfast where you order today and receive next year. Also personally feel Nebula have far better-looking PCs and better brands for the GPU for the same if not less than what Techfast have it for

    • +5

I ordered the last deal and they shipped within the stated time frame

      • +1

        The prev. 5090 deal? (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904902)

I ordered on the 8th when the deal was posted and the order progressed to 'testing' 2 days ago on the 27th. (16 business days). Presumably it will be sent soon - just curious if it's the same deal?

        • +1

Yes same deal, was just posted yesterday

          • @jar-unit: @jar-unit can you plz share your thoughts once you receive the PC?

        • +1

I'm in a similar boat to you except I ordered on the 9th. Also went into testing on the 27th. Curios to know what brand 5090s are currently going out.

        • Same as mine. Has been sitting on 'Built' for a while now

          • @ewok666: Same. Was told it's testing on Monday but no updates since. also curious what brand of 5090 they're using.

            • @mightymite: I have a 5080 to tide me over but I do want that thing. I’m not that rushed but I could have ordered the $4.5k 5090 on Amazon the day after I bought from Techfast.

            • @mightymite: Any luck on yours being shipped yet? No luck here

              • @ShaneLikesABargain: no, but now it has changed to Ready for Shipment status today. hoping it actually ships soon.

                • @mightymite: Mine shipped today, looks like they are likely all being sent today. Not too bad only a few days over estimate. Shame about upcoming public holiday which might delay actual receival however

                  • @ShaneLikesABargain: Yep mine shipped today too. I didnt do express shipping so eta is friday or Tuesday. Be good if it comes on Friday for the long weekend.

          • @ewok666: Any luck on yours being shipped yet? No luck here

            • @ShaneLikesABargain: No. Was supposed to ship today but have not heard anything. If it doesn't happen this week then I'll explore other options

              • @ewok666: Did you put in a case and they replied with today being the shipment date? I haven't reached out. If a few of us are in the same boat It's better than just my order I guess. I'll hit you up in this thread when mine is shipped

                • @ShaneLikesABargain: I replied to one of the emails and was told today. It's been in 'Built' for over a week now.

                  • @ewok666: @ShaneLikesABargain Mine moved to Ready for Shipment today. Hoping they get shipped out tomorrow..

                    • @pjsum: Thanks for the heads up! I'm still hopeful.

                      • +1

                        @ewok666: Mine was shipped today

                        • @ShaneLikesABargain: Congratulations! Did you get the 5090 with the 9800?

                          • @ewok666: 5090 but 7800x3d for my use with gaming the additional cost I couldn't justify. Changed a few items like mobo, case and 360mm cooler which were pretty good value

                            • @ShaneLikesABargain: The x870 board? Yeah, $400 for the 9800 is quite an ask but maybe the 7800 is in some bundle.

                              • @ewok666: I wish, I reached out on the previous deal but an x series board wasn't an option like it is here. Only upgraded to the Asus TUF Gaming B650M-E. Likely as the previous case options didn't have AtX factor

I'll see how it runs and look at moving to AtX board if needed.

                                • @ShaneLikesABargain: I initially opted for TUF gaming, but reached out via email and changed over to x870.

                                  • @mightymite: I saw in the comments on a subsequent deal since @luketechfast mentioned for someone to reach out for X chipset upgrades that aren't listed - when I reached out I received an email back - "We do not have any other upgrades aside from what is listed on the deal available."

                                    You must have got lucky!

                                  • @mightymite: did they say what brand/model is the x870 ?

                                    • @stevenk: They didn't say. But based on the serial number, it's a gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7, which is what Luke mentioned in one of the threads.

                    • @pjsum: Mine got shipped today

                      • +1

@ShaneLikesABargain: Just got shipping notification as well. Was close to but couldn't quite justify the 9800 upgrade either so just a case and the TUF B650 mobo upgrade for me. I imagine I will be upgrading parts around the 5090 for a while going forward. Got 8 years from my 1060!

                        • @pjsum: Mine still says Built. I'm going to Adelaide in August. If it hasn't shipped by then I might just pick it up and take it on the plane

                          • @ewok666: Hah I'm hoping for you it doesn't come to that. We ordered on the same day so surely it can't be far away!

                            • +1

@pjsum: Let's hope so. I don't understand how my build can be in testing for NINE days. If they broke something or it's missing parts then they might as well tell me so I have some idea what to expect.

                              • @ewok666: Have you had any updates?

                                • @pjsum: Yes, it shipped! Hasn't arrived yet but I'm getting a Palit GameRock 5090 and the Gigabyte X870 Eagle WIFI7 board. What GPU did you get?

                                  • @ewok666: Great, mine is hopefully being delivered today. I got the TUF B650M mobo and by the looking at the serial number on the invoice I suspect a Zotac 5090.

                                    • @pjsum: You can tell the GPU by looking at the BIOS ID in the diagnostics report but you'll hopefully find out today. TBH, they're all very similar.

                                      • @ewok666: Hmm where did you find your diagnostics report? Only received the invoice. Yeh I'm not too fazed with which GPU as my case will be hidden under my workbench anyway.

                                        • @pjsum: It's on the Techfast site where you can also download the invoice

                                          • @ewok666: Ah okay. Not showing for me. Only invoice available.

                                            • @pjsum: It's my first order with them. I thought it was normal to get that

                                  • +1

@ewok666: Hi mate, when did you order yours? mine still showing "Order Placed" after two weeks. So I'm assuming it will take at least another week after it changes to "Testing"

                        • +1

@pjsum: Yeah, I went from a 970 to a 1080ti second hand in 2020 (for covid prices - Ouch!), and have been rocking that until now, just not cutting it these days unfortunately.

      • +4

Mine took weeks. They gave me no updates, no explanation, no apology. After weeks of waiting I started another fresh ticket and was told I'd get tracking details within 24 hours. A week later with still no updates I started yet another fresh ticket and was told the same thing.

From the posts I've seen on here lately, I'm not in the minority.

        • @Uncle Bert When was that?

          • @ewok666: I ordered around April 20th.

            • @Uncle Bert: That's disappointing! Have you actually received it now?

              • @ewok666: I have. It had a loose screw rolling around under the motherboard. Never got any kind of explanation or apology. Terrible experience overall.

                • @Uncle Bert: Thanks for the update. I'd have have more than happy to assemble myself ;-) Hope all else is OK with your build. What 5090 did you get?

                  • @ewok666: I didn't get a 5090. It was a pre-designed cheap 1080p gamer for my family. I chose it because I figured there would be no delays given that they picked all the parts. Not how it worked out though.

    • +1

You’d really hope NebulaPC uses better brands when their cheapest 5090 build is $4300 more expensive

    • -4

Have you seen Nebula threads? Same complaints too about shipping delays and warranty claims.

    • +1

I just looked on Nebula… Their cheapest 5090 PC is like 9k……

    • -1

      Math ain't mathing

    • +1

Nebula is the rising star in these parts it seems.

  • Is this not just a more expensive deal than you had before? Except component prices are now cheaper? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904902

    • They also did this with the 4060 "deals". I can understand if there's a shortage and stuff but like you said prices have only come down.

  • Nice reddit/YouTube box

  • What's the going rate of 5090 on private sales?

    • What private sales? Every once in a blue moon one pops up for well over $5k

      • They're out there at $5.1k new now.

        • Yeah, I noticed there are a few now. Still $1k over MSRP but slowly(!) coming down. I just want my order to finally ship…..

  • Luke - whats the reason for $100 price hike from the deal that ended a few hours ago? Is it just fluctuation, better bands being used, or am i missing something? (I upgraded the ATX case and same components as last time, was still 100 over)

  • +1

    I want a Palit RTX 5090 how much @luketechfast?

  • +1

Buy one GPU get free desktop.

  • +3

I think Luke is putting all the retailers on blast with this. 2k profits above msrp are just greedy.

  • hi, luke

I placed an order on 20/05 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904902), and the status doesn't change to In Build yet.

hope I could get my new pc and play as soon as possible

I'm in Adelaide and I would like to pick up myself, could you send me an address?

    • +1

From others, its likely It'll take a monnth or close to.

      • +1

yep. bought the 8th May deal. Still in "Built" status today 30/5 but I was told it's in testing phase.

    • -2

      They don’t allow pickup

    • We do allow pickup, no problem. Please email [email protected] and we will arrange it. Shipping charges are refunded once picked up.

  • I'm happy to wait indefinately. I don't need a 5090. And it won't performance twice as fast in my stable diffusion workloads. So i'm good just forgetting it exists until its a reasonable price. It's good to see slow movement.

    • It'll be a reasonable price on the used market in two GPU generations. This isn't a joke btw, as seen from the last few GPU generations, they hold there value ever since covid (profanity) both the new and used market.

      • I got my 4090 for 2700 from techfast. when the 5090 is 20-30% more than what i got my 4090 for, which is around, or slowly below the RRP. then i'll get one. Until then, i won't. Either way, i win. If i purchase it at current prices, i lose. (over a thousand)
