    HODL!!!

    • +7

Yep their launch deal smashed this.
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891317

      • Cheaper and a better processor! :O

        • +4

If only we could build a time machine!

      • +1

        Damnnn 5k for 5090 9800X3d would 2have be2en insane2.2

        • People probably had to wait a long time for those ;-)

      • nvm it was limited

  • +11

Oooooohh they're coming down!! At this rate we should see reasonable prices in about…. 14 months lol.

*no disrespect to Techfast, I think you're doing a bang up job on delivering great prices to ozb!

  • Price in title and description are different

    • Fixed thanks, it's the new case that means the $10 difference.

  • +2

Real question is - if I order and pay today, with it be delivered BEFORE 30th June …

    • We are consistently hitting our build estimates at the moment at a really high percentage - there will be occasional outliers due to systems not passing testing and needing replacement parts etc which can hold things up, but overall this is not a launch type scenario where ETAs and batches can blow out.

      • +5

Do you keep customers updated if there are issues?

        • +12

From other comments. No. They say they'll update them soon and then never do. (Look a few replies down)

        • +12

They dont, they dont answer emails unless its about a future purchase. Do your research on these guys so you can manage your expectations. They will absolutely lie about build and delivery times all the time, everytime.

          • @Snoopy113: This is exactly what is holding me back from buying - massive blowouts on delivery times.

(Although this deal isn’t for me, I'm looking at the cheaper Techfast deals).

      • +3

I support you guys doing business here with great deals but its also something you guys need to address - I keep seeing this same delivery delay issues over and over again with many posters on OzB.

People who bought a 4090 day one for $3,000 - This was the best decision of my life

Crazy to think there were people in the $2500 deal for the 4090 thread saying that it would take them till $2k for them to pull the trigger and it would still be too much at that price point.

    • +11

2k+ for GPU is stupid indeed

      • Bro really thought

      • +4

People spend way more on hobbies they put way less time into. You're obviously not the market for that kind of product, but there is really no need to try to put down others because of that.

  • +12

Ahhh Techfast where you order today and receive next year. Also personally feel Nebula have far better-looking PCs and better brands for the GPU for the same if not less than what Techfast have it for

    • +4

I ordered the last deal and they shipped within the stated time frame

      • +1

        The prev. 5090 deal? (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904902)

I ordered on the 8th when the deal was posted and the order progressed to 'testing' 2 days ago on the 27th. (16 business days). Presumably it will be sent soon - just curious if it's the same deal?

        • +1

Yes same deal, was just posted yesterday

          • @jar-unit: @jar-unit can you plz share your thoughts once you receive the PC?

        • +1

I'm in a similar boat to you except I ordered on the 9th. Also went into testing on the 27th. Curios to know what brand 5090s are currently going out.

        • Same as mine. Has been sitting on 'Built' for a while now

          • @ewok666: Same. Was told it's testing on Monday but no updates since. also curious what brand of 5090 they're using.

            • @mightymite: I have a 5080 to tide me over but I do want that thing. I’m not that rushed but I could have ordered the $4.5k 5090 on Amazon the day after I bought from Techfast.

      • +4

Mine took weeks. They gave me no updates, no explanation, no apology. After weeks of waiting I started another fresh ticket and was told I'd get tracking details within 24 hours. A week later with still no updates I started yet another fresh ticket and was told the same thing.

From the posts I've seen on here lately, I'm not in the minority.

    • +1

You’d really hope NebulaPC uses better brands when their cheapest 5090 build is $4300 more expensive

    • -4

Have you seen Nebula threads? Same complaints too about shipping delays and warranty claims.

    • +1

I just looked on Nebula… Their cheapest 5090 PC is like 9k……

    • -1

      Math ain't mathing

    • +1

Nebula is the rising star in these parts it seems.

  • Is this not just a more expensive deal than you had before? Except component prices are now cheaper? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904902

    • They also did this with the 4060 "deals". I can understand if there's a shortage and stuff but like you said prices have only come down.

  • Nice reddit/YouTube box

  • What's the going rate of 5090 on private sales?

    • What private sales? Every once in a blue moon one pops up for well over $5k

  • Luke - whats the reason for $100 price hike from the deal that ended a few hours ago? Is it just fluctuation, better bands being used, or am i missing something? (I upgraded the ATX case and same components as last time, was still 100 over)

  • +1

    I want a Palit RTX 5090 how much @luketechfast?

  • Buy one GPU get free desktop.

  • +1

I think Luke is putting all the retailers on blast with this. 2k profits above msrp are just greedy.

  • hi, luke

I placed an order on 20/05 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/904902), and the status doesn't change to In Build yet.

hope I could get my new pc and play as soon as possible

I'm in Adelaide and I would like to pick up myself, could you send me an address?

    • +1

From others, its likely It'll take a monnth or close to.

      • +1

yep. bought the 8th May deal. Still in "Built" status today 30/5 but I was told it's in testing phase.

    • -1

      They don’t allow pickup

    • We do allow pickup, no problem. Please email [email protected] and we will arrange it. Shipping charges are refunded once picked up.

  • I'm happy to wait indefinately. I don't need a 5090. And it won't performance twice as fast in my stable diffusion workloads. So i'm good just forgetting it exists until its a reasonable price. It's good to see slow movement.

    • It'll be a reasonable price on the used market in two GPU generations. This isn't a joke btw, as seen from the last few GPU generations, they hold there value ever since covid (profanity) both the new and used market.

      • I got my 4090 for 2700 from techfast. when the 5090 is 20-30% more than what i got my 4090 for, which is around, or slowly below the RRP. then i'll get one. Until then, i won't. Either way, i win. If i purchase it at current prices, i lose. (over a thousand)

    • Most people don't really NEED a 5090 but enough want it anyway. It may eventually get to $4k but I don't want to wait for that so $5100 in a PC isn't too bad

      • if they don't have a system they should absolutely get this. It's good for people that need an entire system. Not sure if it's so good for people that already have one.

        • My CPU is now over 4 years old so it wasn't a hard choice but generally it is dumb that a PC with 5090 is cheaper than a 5090 by itself from retailers. That's OZ I guess. In the EU it's a different story

  • One stopping me buying is im moving house in a few weeks and the build/ship timeframes seem to vary between previous buyers alongside some reports of less than ideal comms.
Dont want my pc getting sent to my old address because they 'missed' an email .

Also have an r7 5700x3d / rtx 3080 atm, and its just for gaming really. Dunno if i just HODL another gen now…

  • I ordered a PC on your last 5090 deal on the 8th of May. It has been in testing phase since Monday this week (now it's Friday). Any idea how long would it take to ship?

  • +1

I just want the 5090, please remove other parts and reduce the 5090 price to around $4000, I will take one

    • They dont do gpu only any more afaik

      • They do. But it's like super rare and only for the big gpus.

  • It's $5,398 + delivery, not $5,198 + delivery.

    • +1

      using the code?

      • My bad, whoops didn't realise a code was needed

  • It's a shame there are no configs without glass & RGB.

    • I went for the Antec P20C, it has a glass side panel but there is a solid side panel option around which I might pickup to swap out if I can find cheap one.
