Thanks Neil, you work too hard.

  • Can confirm that DJs Elizabeth and Market Sts will be open 5 a.m. and close at midnight.

    • Cheers. Any link to that?

      • Not at the moment. Probably on Christmas Day

  • Anyone know if Costco have had worthwhile discounts on TVs on boxing day in the past?

    • Same prices as their website or are they going to make it lower on Boxing Day?

      • Guess so, not a published page yet, found it like unconfirmed eBay sales. Expect them to be lowered on the day.

  • I'm very on the fence about building a new PC at the moment, but if the sales on boxing day for decent parts are absolutely great then I'd be tempted to do it. I'm just wondering based on past years how likely this is to be?

    Parts I'd be looking for:
    6600K or 6700K
    500GB 850/960 evo or better
    16gb ram

I know shopping express is offering the 960 Pro 512gb for $399 on boxing day. Any other offers like this that have been announced in advance?

    • Looking at the shopping express deals I think it's a great time to build a new PC. The prices on the graphics cards are really good (GTX 1060-80 etc) and considering that it's usually the most expensive part, there's no harm in buying these parts and buying the rest later as not everything you need is on sale.

If you didn't know, the Kaby Lake CPUs will be released early next year so will the AMD Zen so might be worth holding off if you don't need a computer now if you want the latest CPU or 6600k/6700k at a cheaper price.

  • I need another Rebel sale

  • Out of JB Hi Fi, Harvey Norman and Good Guys (my main suspects) who would likely have the best TV deals on Boxing Day?

I have a feeling JB Hi Fi is the best place to go as the others seems to hold onto old stock (harvey mainly).

    • Depends on what TV you are looking for but there have been loads of great TV deals this year and TVs are the cheapest in years. Plus lots of cheapo TVs from Aldi, Kmart, COTD, etc. Woolworths has a 32" Akai for $198 on boxing day.

  • Merged from Big W Boxing Day Sales?

Anyone heard anything about Big W sales this year? Seems very quiet this close to the day

  • Merged from Boxing Day Sales?

Are there still bargains to be found during Boxing Day sales? The last time I went there were just huge crowds and nothing seemed majorly cheap , definitely not worth the trouble. What are people's experiences and when would it be a good time to buy things like shoes, furniture, clothes?

    • It's a while since I've been near them, but from my experience the cheap stuff is what they couldn't sell initially. I'd wheel out the old crap and mark it down, saves taking it to the tip. The rest is like 10% off and hope that some sucker gets swept up in the hysteria and doesn't realise it's not really that cheap.

    • Yeah. These boxing day sales of late has been a big meh.

I've noticed Ozbargain has gone from a place where you buy ps3's for $199 with 3 games and ipads for $299 back in 2013 to a place where you get free apps for your phone and %10off clothes sales. Really lame in the last year or so.

It's turned to crap in the last few years.

Most of the people that find good deals these days would rather not tell anyone about them and keep it to themselves.

Your better off waiting for he new stock to come in, thats when the old stock goes on sale. Works for clothes, tv's, cars, game consoles ect.

      • I had a couple of postings.
Not the bargain of a lifetime, but not too bad in my view.
The abuse hurled my way was enough to convince me never to post again and just keep it to myself.
There does not seem to be any mechanism where verbal abuser are banned.
I also turned off notification as I know those same "helpful citizens" will undoubtfully troll this thread nitpicking any slight grammar or other mistake they can find.

        • Don't take it to heart mate, but if a deal you post is considerably cheaper elsewhere then expect to get a few negs. That's how the rules work here..

It's your turn to shine and bring us good deals.

    • Some retailers have stock they buy just for boxing day sales. They will buy container loads of the crape just to get people into their stores as everyone has sales on

    Fantastic work o/p Kudos.

  • Oroton 50% off full priced items (with a bunch of exclusions in the T&Cs). Sale commences online today, in store on 26th.

  • Supercheap auto has a minimum 25% off store wide. Just saw an ad.

  • cotton on code is SALE20 got an email about it

    • Cheers, have released all redacted codes.

  • Went for a browse for a new capsule or ground coffee machine at The Good Guys. Stupid me, I did not take any photos as the store was closing soon (early close of 4:00pm!). So it appears the staff were preparing for Boxing day prices already. The machines listed below all had large and bright tickets on them. I spoke to the Nespresso Rep who was present, and they told me it was legit 100% boxing day price. Also I made sure these prices are BEFORE CASHBACK/COFFEE CREDIT, which makes the machines even cheaper. The rep also told me they could register the machine, redeem my coffee credit and order me coffee on the spot too :D

    Nespresso Breville Citiz Milk BEC650MS $199: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/nespresso-citiz-and-milk---si…
(Apparently advertised on catalogue already) Nespresso Lattissima Plus Red EN521R $269: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/nespresso-delonghi-lattissima…
    Nespresso Inissia Fuschia BEC200XF $129: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/nespresso-breville-inissia-ca…
DeLonghi Compact Fully Automatic Coffee Machine ECAM23460S $799 or $899?: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/delonghi-compact-fully-automa…

Through the years, I've noticed TGG usually has Nespresso bargains Boxing Day/post Christmas, particularly the weird Inissia model colours. But I've never seen the Citiz Milk or Lattissima Plus that CHEAP! Definitely will get one.

  • Does anyone know what time 24 hour Kmarts open tomorrow? It it midnight tonight?

Boxing Day sales are slowly dieing. Really not much point anymore.

  • Anyone doing iphone deals? Haven't seen anything pop up

  • I have dilemma:

Should I got to DFO in homebush, or stick around the city (haymarket and mid city) for the best deals + choices?

DFO is an extra 30min ontop of a 1+hour public transport trip, but I feel like DFO would naturally have better deals. \

Looking for formal shirts, pants, shoes but also casual stuff.

    • hope you went to DFO, town was dissapoint.

    • Let me know if you do end up going. We plan on going early Jan.

  • Anyone doing $299 Xbox One S deals today for Boxing Day?

  • I walked past a little boutique on Castlereagh St called Masion Scott or something like that, I can't find it on google, but they had a flat out 60% off storewide with some exclusions. Nice casual wear. It is between Park St and Pitt St near the Park St end, that part of town is very quiet compared to the surrounding streets, so there are no crowds.
