I have got all the steps to work till step 8 when trying to systemize mockation I keep getting an error "app exists". This msg is consistent whether I select /system/app or priv-app.
Using ES file explorer I see a 0kb folder within /priv-app but unsuccessful in deleting the same due to warning "resource busy". No such folder exists in /system/app but still get the same error in the terminal. Tried several reboots & uninstall-reinstall of mockation but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
you should be checking it in data/app, not system/app
If you have ES File Explorer already, why not just enable Root Explorer in ES File Explorer and move it to /system/priv-app manually? However, I suspect you might have stuffed up the install of Mocklation. You may need to try another app like GPS Joystick. Download it from the developer's website. http://gpsjoystick.theappninjas.com/faq/. The one from their website has a system mode.
tried es file exp in root mode…after moving the app to priv-app folder and setting the permissions…the app just keeps crashing (same for mockation & GPS joystick). Which is why I then turned to terminal but the same result.
The only difference is I am on Pixel1Dust rom on my nexus 6p. Not sure if that is the underlying problem to the crashes in systemizing.@Swordfinder: I have encountered this problem. It was an issue on one of my phones that had a locked bootloader,not sure if your phone is in the same situation. I also tried everything but unfortunately, you won't be able to move the files directly using es file explorer. I did get it working though, by using Magisk systemizer.
You may want to start with a fresh custom os install. Install Magisk using TWRP. Boot phone. Install Magisk Manager, Terminal and GPS Joystick apks.

I know most people are trying to get a fuel price from outside, their area. But if anyone has an android phone and you can't lock in a local price, try logging out and logging back in.
I've tried wifi and 4g, but you can spend 10+ minutes waiting for it to check the local prices. Log out and log back in and it's almost instant.

Hey, I was having that problem when I was signing in aswell, the thing that fixed it for me was to make sure my time and date was set to the automatic setting, after doing that, I was able to sign in. This was on my S20Ultra

Unsure of the limit of number of lock as well - I locked 4-5 accounts in 10 mins.. not sure if that has to do something with it?

@Acopic: Exactly why I had it set to manual as well! A few times it has stuffed me around switching to daylight savings. Once you log on you can set it back to manual time.

I tried a lock from a couple of States away after only about 20min, came up as something like "invalid lock" so went through the missed discount process in the app, will update when I hear back.

Just to follow up I hadn't heard back from 7-eleven so tried the lock again this morning and it worked, so it appears it was either a system issue or there is some temporary time-distance requirement but doesn't look like it invalidates the account.
What's the reason for the new app? Was it because of us? If so, I feel like this is going to be a cat and mouse game and I know some of the devs like a challenge, I feel most of them are doing all this for our benefit as a community, so in the long run it just might not be feasible.
As a normal user (without using the helicopter / flying GPS)
the new app is a simpler usage as you just always scan the My 7-Eleven membership cardIn terms of security
the new API is way more secure as it use oauth2 instead of standard username / password POST
also, security is also enhanced on the App side (eg. thats why the mod apk won't work and requires rooted Android device to mock location)So in summary
I would say it makes sense for 7-11 to upgrade their system
we can't really blame them upgrading the system because we can no longer lock price in a hack way
The only valid anger of the new app is they exclude users using Android 8 or below
as there are still many users using Android 8 today(Tho this upgrade is not favorable to anyone in the Ozb community!)

When they removed the requirement for a cash balance, to cover locked values, that decision played right into the hands of those with multiple accounts.
Did multiple accs have too great an impact? eg one voucher for me, plus my partner, mum & dad, neighbour's pet parakeet, etc.
It would appear that we weren't a big enough concern, prior to that.. unless removing the balance requirement was just a short stop on their roadmap.
That security issue where people could randomly see/use other peoples accounts after an update, including their CC details, probably was a driver too.

I think it was mostly a change in strategy as the balances would have counted as a liability on their balance sheets. Especially as we weren't using the balance but paying by card/cash instead. The new app coincided with the change in strategy.
Hacks would have played a part but I don't think they were losing that much. As an example, I'd save maybe 3% max by locking the absolute lowest priced station vs my local. The extra customers they have gotten with the app would have easily covered it.
They'll lose a fair chunk of customers with the Android 9 requirement. People who want to save at the bowser don't upgrade phones every two years.
I remember that, I was using it at the time and remember seeing personal details everytime I refreshed. Hopefully that was the driving reason!

Used ifakelocation today, locked in using the WA price and no major dramas. Seems like there’s some sort of outages though as it took 3 goes before it went through.
Been said before but IOS users, jump on 3utools. One minute to download (pending how good your NBN is ;) ), 10 seconds to change the location. Glad this is working because i was worried about having to pay full price for fuel again

For those using iOS/iPadOS, has anyone managed to get the 7-11 login details saved? Trying to help a friend out with their device but can only get it saved in passwords, but while it will auto-fill the form for OAuth, it won't login. Only way currently seems to be manually typing it in each time.

Any Android users managed to get things working on Android 10? I was only successful when I moved back to Android 9 but the success was really due to being able to permanently lock in a location with the fake GPS app.
I had problems with the fake GPS app on Android 10 not working/crashing or locked location only lasting several seconds. The problems occurred whether the fake GPS app was installed as sys app or priv-sys app. It was worst when installed as priv-sys app, as the app simply crashes at launch.
The devices I tried were: OnePlus 5 (tried on both crDroid and Paranoid Android Quartz 3 ROMs) and Nexus 6 (tried on both crDroid and LineageOS 17.1 ROMs). These were the Android 10 based ROMs which did not work.
I was successful when I installed Lineage OS 16 (Android 9 based ROM) on the Nexus 6.
Root was via Magisk and faked GPS apps I tried were Mockation and GPS JoyStick.
Its working on my OP5, Android 10. I have GPS Joystick. If app systemizer doesn't work (was the case for me, it crashed) use [Smali patcher] (https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-smali-pa…) make sure you click hide joystick and also don't enable it in developers mode.

No need to have root by the way, if you have Lineage installed. In developer options there's an option to use 'ADB Root Shell'. Just turn that on, use adb root, adb shell. Then adb push your fake gps apk to /system/priv-app and then move the permissions as well and you're done. For instructions on permissions you can see: http://gpsjoystick.theappninjas.com/faq/

I’m jailbroken ios 12.4 using unc0ver (and have liberty lite enabled) and never had a problem locking via old 7/11 app. But now, the app hangs after searching for price, and then I click Lock In My Best Local Price.

My time was already set to automatic, but still having trouble locking in the price. I had the same problem last week (with exactly the same setup) and then it suddenly worked one day and then hasn’t worked since.
Edit: I updated to latest unc0ver jailbreak via ReProvision and now locking in price works fine. Hope this helps someone

I've enjoyed 3 years+ of cheap fuel thanks to Master131 and Freighter (and also our unsung heroes, Chef-Johnson who shared the original method, Nuggets who created 8-twelve, the first price crawler).
If you must know, I sent a WW eGift card to Master131 around three months ago as a token of thanks, and didn't get a response, and the eGift card was showing up as unused (full balance). As it's a sizeable amount, the intention is not to let it go to waste.
Master131 privately responded shortly my comment, and I found out the link was not working on Master131's side, and now they will be able to do so.
I provided that WW eGift card three months ago, whether there are working methods now or in the future doesn't affect my gift sent to Master131 in the past.
If we have no cheap fuel from 7/11, then we will switch to backup methods (Woolies 4c voucher + 6% off Woolies eGift) at Woolies Caltex..

How long did it take for you?
I assume all you need to do is log in and update the address details, and then it's all automatic from there?
Email they sent me said as much, basically "you have available balance on your account, please click this link and update your address and you will get the card in the mail" — kind of weird since I had spent all of my remaining balance the day prior. The gift card website had a few transactions listed where i'd purchased things with my balance but didn't list the day prior one. I'm guessing I won't receive a card though.
You probably will. They probably took the values of the balances at a particular time (to move to the new system) and then kept it running until the shutdown. Gift card values are probably based off that. Anything spent after might not get updated, and they probably couldn't be bothered doing more work to figure out the difference (if any) for the odd few people who spent money in the last 24 hours or however long they had.
@dealz4all: Hmnm. I spent my entire card balance about a week before the deadline date. Got the email saying fill in details to receive gift card (didn't mention the balance amount), thought I'd fill it in on the off chance, but you give me hope that maybe the $55 gift card is on its way :D

I think there's a missing step in your instructions, around 12 or 13.. I assume we need to install Magisk prior to applying patch.
No, it's not that Magisk needs to be installed manually. It's that one of the required tools is not in the system PATH variable. I've updated step 13 onwards - my bad.

Yeah honestly took me a good 8 hours to get this ZTE Axon 7 going. I just need to try that smali patcher. The recovery boot thing was driving me insane. Kept bootlooping. That Zte only natively support up to Android 7. Got android 10 on it with lineage.
So
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Twrp
3. Install lineage with 9.0 or 10.0 (see xda forums and follow instructions)
4. Magisk
5. Make sure complient in Magisk manager
6. Smali patcher
7. GPS joystick
8. Spoof and lock happily.So glad I finally got it going. Be warned you could brick your phone.
with the number of mistakes i made, eg
*i had to reinstall magisk too many times to count,
*lineage a hand full of time including 14.1 which i found out too late wasn't supported by the app.
*used a Smali zip from lineage 14.1 in lineage 17
* countless bootloops
somehow it didn't brick, was an old Galaxy S5 with cracked screen so really didn't care. Although having to redo setup countless times was the biggest pain for me.although the feeling of success was all the sweeter.
Yeah for whatever reason whenever I flashed changes from the original rom, it'd go back into a bootloop. I eventually worked out the original rom structured the partitions differently and in a different format. So like 5 tools later and a few goes at the same thing, it finally loaded lineage. Initially lineage said my phone had a password on it too haha. As you say, great relief to actually beat it. Lineage is a bit buggy, but I can lock and spoof so that's the main thing. Thank you Pokémon Go haha

Hi all - for all the people who have managed to get a fuel lock, used it and realised/commented that the lock discount is rounded to the nearest cent (e.g. 119.9 = 120).
I had called 7/11 customer service about this (not because I want my 5c back), and they said it was the first they've heard about it… They've logged a case to investigate if the issue has been long running or just because of the new app released two weeks ago.
Will keep you guys posted what their findings are.
Is it a good idea to ask them to investigate anything to do with the app ?

Could you use a seperate folder for each app instance? Like a one-to one-ratio of app-to-folder. Rename the folder to John, Bob etc, and store the folders on a page out of the way somewhere?

If you have a Toyota then install the myToyota app and get an extra 4c off at most Caltex servos. There is one down Kingston rd showing $103.8 so with the app it would be 99.8.I just thought with the 7-11 3 mins up the road at 1.43 since 5pm yesterday it would be nice to give people a heads up for .40 less a ltr.
Check out the Petrol Spy website www.petrolspy.com.au or their app. The way prices jump around these days it is a must have if you want to save on fuel. Far better than the 7-11 one that only shows their servos in that area.

Install Chrome and set it as the default browser. Some stock browsers do not like the app-link to the new 7-Eleven app.
write them an email and they'll reply you with a link, if you need your reimbursement. Otherwise try forgetten the password. I wrote to them three times and finally got the link, still waiting for the reimbursement.

I just installed Lineage OS 16 on my 7-year-old Galaxy S4, used ADB root to set the GPS Joystick as a system app (no root is required). Locked #98 in NSW and going to feed my car tomorrow.

Did you actually need to do permissions xml step?
I've seen several guides that says you need to but I just did it on clean Lineage OS 16 and it worked after systemizer + reboot.
I am not sure if this step is required. Just followed the FAQ on App Ninja's website.

@sun sunny: There are easier guides to follow. There are some steps in there for Android 10 which are not actually required for Android 9.
This one is the most detailed one I've seen in 1 post, and it is easy to follow:

This guide may only work with Samsung phones (since it uses Odin).
You need to be a bit "IT minded" as you need to find the right ROM to flash.
Root is required.

You can find this under requirements on the GitHub page.
Click on Refresh button on the top right and choose your iPhone from the drop down list. I recall you have to approve the security for few dll's that loads, not just the first time when you open the app. Once you see your iPhone in the drop down list above, just search for the location and set location.
You also need to download .NET Core 2.2 (macOS 10.12 "Sierra" or newer).
You can find this under requirements on the GitHub page.
This was actually the crucial step for me. However now when I set location, it just doesn’t prompt my phone to download any of the tools mentioned above.

@simeonpanda: Hey mate, it's been a while - I'm actually using it for the first time today. I manage to get to as far as getting my iPhone to show up after the refresh. I set my location. But on my phone isn't actually registering the change in location? What seems to be the problem?
@Jaystea: Not too sure - I usually ensure that my device is shown under "Device Name" then double clicking my desired location on the map and clicking "Set Fake Location". You can check if it's working by opening any map app of your choice.

Just rooted an older S8 i had floating around.
Why root?: Root enables you to install an option that hides location mock from 7 eleven and allows spoofing.
BEFORE YOU PROCEED: This Guide will WIPE your device!!! Backup!!
!I take no responsibility for any potential damages incurred following this, your root your device at your own Risk!steps are long but here we go:
these steps can be applied to any device((1.)) Flash TWRP to your phone.
for me that was:
a.) download TWRP for your device: https://twrp.me/Devices/
make sure you get the right version of TWRP via phone specifications: https://www.gsmarena.com/ and looking at your phone make on your phone physically under about.
Find its Model no. EG: G950FD and what CPU it has: mine has an exynos.
b.) download odin https://odindownload.com/
download samsung usb drivers https://developer.samsung.com/mobile/android-usb-driver.html
c.) i disabled all Google accounts and Samsung accounts on my phone: in prep for wipe. (yes this is a wipe, so backup data) <- this is Important!
enable dev options on phone : (tap build no. 7 times)
within Dev options:
enable USB debugging
enable OEM unlock in settingsplug your phone into your computer
**Try and find a guide to installing TWRP via odin. google: (EG:) samsung twrp odin

on your PC: double click Odin.exe:
d.) tick AP
find the TWRP.img.tar file you downloaded above in step i.)
click Start.
Restart your phone with a specialised button combination to force boot into TWRP((2.)) Flash a ROM (or an android OS) to your phone
XDA forums to find a ROM that suits, there are many custom ones that do fanciful things. Me i like one thats close to the Manufacturer feel but has [[Root]]
to find one that suits your phone search: XDA forums (Your phone model, {as found in step a.) above EG: "G950FD"} ROM
NB:: Things To Consider:
the Rom is up to date and still being supported (check to see forums is alive for the Rom you selected)
the Rom should have Magisk built into it!
NB** This is a VERY important step! make sure you find the right Rom to your Model No! EG samsung s8 G950FD Rom: Flashing a Wrong Rom Could Brick your device!! Be Careful!!!a.) download the ROM you have chosen with Root.
b.) with the phone still plugged into your computer, you should see it as a device you can dump files to (if you can not see it in windows, simply restart your phone to normal running state and then proceed with dump)
dump the ROM you downloaded above to the phone.
c.) restart your phone into TWRP following the specific button combination as per ** above.
d.) Wipe the following: cache, dalvik cache, data and system - restart and boot into TWRP via button combination again.
e.) Install ROM and follow installerYou now have a new Rom with Root and Magisk installed: Checkpoint! (give yourself a pat on the back)

open magisk again - puzzle icon (module) find the installed module and slide the radio button to enable.((4.)) install Appninjas GPS Joystick
a.) get Appninjas Gps app from the playstore.
Open it and enable privacy mode.
Generate new app: It will promp you for a new name (you set one) and it will make a copy of the app with the name you took.
Now, delete Original App, and keep only the newly generated one.b.) Go to developer options, and set the renamed app as the mock locations app.
*i did not have to do this step, it was already disabled
Open appninjas GPS with the name you set, go to configs and disable SYSTEM MODE. The point of smalli patcher is to avoid it running as system app and messing up
with the real gps (rubberbanding)
you are Done:

Best to do it on your phone and get it to auto detect your version. Otherwise choose one of the most common one and if it doesn't work, then try the other. If you downloaded GApps for lineage OS, then it'll be the corresponding version ARM vs ARM64.

I did an alternate method (costs money) using AppCloner to rename the GPS app

Basically you download the app from the playstore > click on the app to open up > click on "learn how to unlock features for free" > it opens up a page which you click on "unlock features" > it will detect your device and you download the corresponding apk through there with the link it gives you > from there you install the apk and allow to install etc > this app you just installed will have the "privacy mode" option at the top > click that and generate > name the app > follow the reddit post from then on
Now after all that, my 7-eleven says device not support so I
1. Restart phone and it didnt show the device not support screen again (still could not lock in tho)
2. Went to magisk and installed MagiskHide Props Configs
3. worked now, 7-eleven opens and locks(hope this helped someone else who had troubles like me!)

I had the same issue.. Did you enable Magisk hide and hide from 7/11, play store etc?
If you've done that try restarting the phone and try open the 7/11 app again. After a restart it worked for meWith LineageOS, you don't need to root your phone. I tired this method on my pixel xl lineage 17 but the base.apk didn't install. Is it missing a step or is it suppose to install on reboot

Finally managed to root my old oneplus 3t with magisk + smali patcher, and locked in some fuel but it doesn't let me view the voucher. Anyone know how to get the actual voucher once locked?
Click on My Card in the top right of the app.
There is no more voucher barcode. You get your membership barcode and scan that instead

Looks like the people in this group are IT experts unfortunately I am not. 7 11 app was absolutely working fine few weeks ago with mock location. Its not working anymore. It asks for update to the new version. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app from master apk file link. It still asks for update and I cant open the app. I am using samsung galaxy s10+ Android version 10. How to simply use this app again with mock location? Need help.

@sween64: A combination of two crowdsource fuel services. I can't get data from 7-Eleven directly anymore since the new app release (notice how you can't manually check fuel prices on a map anymore). Also VIC doesn't have a government mandated fuel price service like other states.

Yes its been noted before that the price lock is getting rounded up. Hopefully they'll fix it later. Also, haven't heard any say if it's being rounded down from say 108.2 to 108.0
ironic how there are people complaining over overpaying 5c and the very small round up. But in turn they are saving >10c per L by "hacking" the 7-11 System for Fuel Locks…
I'm totally happy with 7-11 with that very very minor rounding issue, if it means they don't look further and start putting in algorithms to block fuel locks.

How easy would it be for them to compile a list of accounts that just always seem to lock in the cheapest price in Australia, no matter where it is, every single time…. Then ban them in waves.
This would have been an easy solution when everyone used to have $100+ locked in their accounts… Now I guess people just create a new account if they get banned.
Especially during the pandemic when movements are restricted eg. From this Friday anyone who has been to Victoria must quarantine for two weeks on arrival in Qld, therefore they couldn't physically be able to use a fuel lock, so you'd think 7/11 would ban accordingly…

Unless they have coded the business logic in such a way that can be easily configured (from their backend dashboard?) without having to change the code in the backend (and/or push a new version to Google Play/App Store). Otherwise, they have to change the logic in the backend, run all the tests (if they have any) then make a release. It might take a couple of days or even a week for all of those to happen. But who knows, maybe two days after they made a release, the policy changes again. They have to do all the above again. So, I highly doubt they'd bother
Think the difference is… I don't "cheat" and lock in fuel from anywhere… I lock in cheapest fuel in my area. As I said, it's only 5c… money is not the point, it's the faulty system.
As for 7eleven… I really don't think they care… all these threads, groups gathering talking about 7 eleven and ultimately using 7 eleven as their preferred petrol station, is a good thing for 7 eleven. They're not running at a lost even at the cheapest fuel price in Australia… margin might be lower but at least they guarantee customers… rather than one day you go to Coles Shell… next day you go to Woolworths Caltex and the next you go to BP…

Try clicking on the link using your phone's email and it should prompt you to open the my7-Eleven app (at least on an Android phone it does ~ not sure about iOS).

Hi all i have a question im using my girlfriends old iPhone 7+ with 3u tools. Since i have an older andriod can i turn on my personal hotspot for the iPhone to use when i go to use the voucher instore? As i plan to just use the iPhone for the 711 app or do i have to put my simcard in the iPhone each time?
The fuel lock should be linked to your account, not the app. The barcode you need to show them should be the same whether it's on the iPhone or Android device

Of course you can. The app shouldn't have any need to use the internet when you redeem your voucher, it just shows the barcode so the servo bloke/girl can scan it. Just tether it from your Android and you'll be right

Cheapest U95 per Project is 116.4 at Healthwood Vic vs 114.9 per app at Endeavour Hills Vic. I locked in 114.9.
Cheapest U98 is 122.4 at Healthwood vs 120.9 at Endeavour Hills. I locked in 120.9 for a friend.
Both have E10 and U91 cheapest at Endeavour Hills.

As others have mentioned; since VIC doesn't have mandatory fuel reporting I'm stuck with crowdsourced prices. You can submit missing prices to PetrolSpy so everyone can benefit.

You need root though which most people wouldn't want to do. Especially with Samsung phones, once you root you break security thus can't use samsung pay etc.
@theBestBastion: Isn't knox a hardware "trip"? Once you trip it, it gets marked forever in hardware as tripped = no more warranty.

@Agret: Flashing a ROM does not equal to "root". LineageOS is not pre-rooted, but it allows ADB root access through developer options.

The new 7-eleven app remove the restrictions of 2 locks per deviceID per day
Just logout and login to do a new lockUnless you use App Cloner so you don't have to log in and out of 10 accounts. Frieghter's app was what removed the device ID restriction.
In 7-eleven API v1 (the old app), 7-eleven has enforced each DeviceID to create up to 2 fuel locks
Frieghter's app makes it bypassing the restrictions by randomly generating new DeviceID so 7-eleven will always thinks its a new DeviceThen the App Cloner that clone "Freighter's app" can have multiple DeviceIDs per app which 7-eleven will also consider each of them as a different device
In the 7-eleven API v2 (the new app), 7-eleven no longer has the 2 fuel locks restriction
However, app cloner do not work with the new app because the new app enforced the Safetynet protection
you can still clone the app, but just not able to do a fuel lock which requires a special token that generates when the app starts=================
So in summary, at the moment you will have to logout and login if you want to do multiple fuel price locks
But since the new app uses a membership barcode instead
Just store all the barcodes as screenshots or Apps that stores barcodes (eg. Stocard)
Then scan the one you have the fuel lock
Not as convenient as the old ways, but the current way to get around
Not sure if anyone knows this already but if there's an in store promotion that reduces fuel price (eg: buy a pack of donuts to get 10c off), it will override the fuel lock.
I never usually buy anything in store but my wife wanted donuts so I bought some last night. Even though the barcode scanned correctly off my phone (I heard the beep), the discount never applied, instead the 10c off was applied.
Just a heads up for anyone who has a better fuel lock than the promo to pay for the items in a separate transaction.

For those who are struggling to get a workaround, I noticed Shell V-power app is giving a 5c/L discount (mine expires 12/7), and if you happen to have a 4c discount docket then that gives you 9c/L off which may be decent as an alternative to 7-11 depending on the servo price. VIC is on the downward trend so you could end up with 101.9c/L for U91.
Agree that 7-11 price is not always the best when you can stack multiple discounts in coles
eg. Last year I was able to get up to 22c discounts with Flybuys (10c) + V-power (8c) + Coles (4c)7-11 price lock become great deals only when particular station run out of U91
and they are selling U98 with U91 price

FYI: For those having issues locking in on iOS using relocate.
Make sure you are using Liberty Lite Beta to bypass JB detection and not Shadow.
Shadow disables Substrate/Substitute injection which prevents the fake location from working.

Ok guys and gals a bit of an update for whoever is interested or sees this as a new post I have been using and iPhone 6S Plus with iOS 13.5.1 not jailbroken with 3Utools http://www.3u.com/ for a month now with different accounts and locking different type fuels with no problems and errors. A couple of interesting things happened when I filled up just now. I kinda felt like a coffee and checked offers for a freebie but there was none in my account - okay, I can do without.

Yeah, the same thing just happened to me. The guys said it's not working but tried to scan anyway. Will be making a claim. Would be nice if 7/11 could keep their system up.
Also consider increasing the screen brightness and turn off night mode screen filters. The old app used to automatically do this when you clicked to bring up a bar code.

Ask them to try other terminal. I experienced the same on Sunday, but when she used and scanned with another terminal, it worked.

I have an old Motorola Moto Z play which I upgraded to LineageOS 16 (Android 9).
I had to unlock bootloader to put a custom ROM, but I don't have root or magisk or any location mocking apps.
When I open 7-11 app it says - "Your device is not supported. Restore your device to factory settings".
I even did factory reset and installed 7-11 app on a fresh rom but get the same error.
Anyone else has the same problem? Is it because of the unlocked bootloader?Yeah need Magisk. Needed the Magisk Hide Props Config. Had to make my devices fingerprint to the model it was. I imagine its a lineage thing.

Buy a cheap used android phone and root it. I had a nexus 5 lying around and put lineageOS on it with Magisk and Smali patcher and if you just follow the guide it is pretty straight forward. I couldn't get it working with unrooted and system app.

Do I need a certain iOS version to be able to lock in any location? I have an old iPhone 6 Plus that I jailbroke back when I got it but it has just sat in a drawer for years and now needs a new battery. when i try to sign in to 7-11 on my note 3 phone that has lineage 16, magisk, smali, gps joystick installed , in chrome it just says webpage not available . what am i doing wrong here? i tested my login on another phone and i can log in and out just fine. In magisk hide it's ticks for play, gps joystick and 7-11.

when you try to "fly the helicopter" remember to slightly change the GPS location each time (if you are locking in the same station)
otherwise it will be too easy to be detected and might cause accounts being bannedBesides, P03 might not be the most accurate sometimes given some data are delayed or from crowd source
so might worth double checking with fuelprice.io, petrolspy, gas buddy and eleven me if the price shown is not the same as the locking price in the appEleven me takes it’s data from P03.
P03 takes its data from government sources for NSW, WA and Queensland, so if the cheapest price is from there it’s accurate.
P03 gets Vic data from PetrolSpy and GasBuddy, so it is likely they will have the same cheapest price (depends on update schedules I guess).

Try setting your time zone to automatic, if you have it set to manual it brings up that error. It should log in then. You can set it back to manual once you've logged in

Mine is/was doing the same thing on main phone but I logged into a second device and it showed the correct lock.
log out and back in again and it's showing correctly now on the main phone too.
Close the app (fully) and open it again should resolve it.

Well a friend of mine got the chopper and running. Honestly the hardest part is unlocking bootloader, finding a ROM and installing it correctly. It can take a few hours. I had to reset to factory after a failed ROM install which was not ideal.
Many hours later I feel more adept in Android than I ever wanted to be.

I had the A02 error originally, I could not login, even before adding mock gps magisk or anything. Just 7-11 app and vanilla Lineage 16 (Android 9) with Gapps.
I went back and re-flashed the same ROM, no difference.So then went for Lineage 17 (Android 10).
I flashed the new ROM, installed GApps but went for nano this time (you only really need Play services).
7-11 app was fine at that stage.I don't know if it was the OS or the GApps or what but that combination worked so I just accepted that and moved on.

There are 2 parts for magisk, You need to install both the .apk and the .zip (.zip is via twrp)

Finally got gps joystick working the app after a LOT of mucking around. A very long process to get the phone rooted with lineage and other stuff.
The appninja app is pretty fiddly and makes me appreciate the skill freighter and master used to create the last app and make it so user freindly!

It’s been updated. The only thing missing is that when using a jailbreak you also need a location faker like Relocate.
I still use an S7 so haven't been able to update to the latest app, but just noticed I can now get into the old (modded) 7-11 app without being auto-prompted to update. I can access my card/barcode once in the app.
Any chance this can be used in tandem with another method (PC/another phone maybe) to lock in and then scan the card in the old app to access the discount in store?

The new app gives a different barcode to the old one.
You could take a screenshot of the barcode in the new app and show it on your s7.
There are a few of us here in this thread using S7 with a custom rom and the new my 7 eleven app. If you View All comments and do a search for S7, plenty of guides available.

Are others having issues claiming discounts? It seems there are quite a few problems with the new app/system, a number of times I have gone to show the barcode and the assistant say's I don't think it is working, but they still try, and alas, no joy. It's easy enough to claim back through the app but the gift card setup is a bit of a pita compared to the old account credit, I think I have about 4 gift cards here already with about another 3+ in the mail, I am half considering sending in the details of one of my existing cards next time to see if they can just credit it as opposed to sending out a new one.
I thought this was the end but I scrolled up to this post and saw there was a working method for iOS. I was so tempted to do it and you guessed it, I did. Followed instructions (was so easy) and managed to do my first lock post new app update. No jailbreak required. Many thanks to OzB and the developers :))

only to reset your real location. I use my ipad to lock, so dont need to restart as it is not my primary device for location usage.
No when I press "stop location" it resets to the current location. But a restart is recommended it doesn't take that long.

The old 7-11 app had a json file with every 7-11 store in Australia and their gps coordinates as well as things like if they are wheelchair accessible. I assume he could just parse that file to display the co-ords.
I have got the app working and could lock in last week but when I tried yesterday and today I am getting a "Uh Oh! That didn't work quite as planned, there seems to be a problem. Error E01."

7-11 I would think. If you see the app it is not even checking the price in Ipswich. It’s just checks the other stations around it not the one in actual Ipswich. It’s the same for all other fuel type except regular unleaded. Where it checks the prices of Ipswich. That’s what I observe anyway.
@spc12go: Yeah even petrol-spy has it as 101.9 but recognise this isn't always accurate as well… Don't really want to drive 2hrs just to check and see. lol

Also, looking back from all the 7-11 fuel deals most are related to U98 that were sold at U91 price because particular fuel station has ran out of U91, and they were selling U98 at U91 price
yeah I went from using 7/11 fuel for 100% previously to like 5% now whenever there is the rare descent price lock in my area. Without it theres a Woolworths fuel servo nearby which is cheaper as others have stated

Tried giving my S4 a new lease of life and be able to use the new 711app(worry about faking location later ☹️😰😰) by flashing TWRP 3.2.3-0 with Odin from my computer and then install lineage 17.1 and Open GApps (unable to install GApps) downloaded onto my device with TWRP everything went smoothly but unfortunately it

Tried instructions from XDA forum, YouTube & every website I can get from Google search from those who experience same bootloop issue without any success. Not sure what I did wrong. Confirmed from review that my s4 jfltexx bootloader is not locked. Only those from AT&T and Verizon are. Also believe my device is not brick as I can still boot into download and recovery mode. So only did TWRP. Flashed it to stock and started again many a time.
Same story here. After pass with Odin, it's gone to bootloop. Trying now with heimdall CLI.
Try going back to just the Lineage ROM no gapps.
Then ensure you can use the phone without boot loop.Work out which GApps you need.
I've had issues with Google Pixel Launcher that comes in micro and above. You only really need Play Services, so try the smaller pack like nano
Make sure to get the correct versions you would want ARM, Android 10, Nano.Install GApps and confirm it it works before doing anything else. You should be able to add a google account at this point.
Make a TWRP backup.
Get Magisk Zip and install via TWRP recovery
Boot and check Magisk can run check for updates.Make a TWRP backup.
Get Smali patcher, enable USB debug, connect the usb cable and run the smali patch.
Copy the smali.zip to the phoneInstall the smali zip from TWRP, Check the phone boots.
Make a TWRP backup.
Get the app ninja app, setup the privacy rename stuff and set the mock locations default.
Now install 7-11 app from PlayStore.
Setup magisk hide selecting 7-11 app
You should have a nice helicopter.

I've successfully re-purposed an S4. It took a few days for me to work out the problem which turned out to be incorrect or incompatible versions of Lineage and Gapps.
What eventually worked for me was a un-optimised Lineage 16.0 and stock Open Gapps arm 9.0

Sometimes my barcode takes 10 seconds to load up, so it seems like you haven't locked anything in. I have 2 accounts so having no information showing also makes it tough. Has anyone else noticed they have removed the store locator in the new app? Not a huge issue, but it was handy for looking around for closest stores when in an unfamiliar area. And it was interesting to look around at local fuel prices.

So I finally rooted my Lenovo Tab4 after days of failure and having to change meta data and the such.
I used magisk to hide my 7eleven app so it no longer says device not supported. But now when I try and use the GPS joystick it says 'oh oh we've detected your location isn't correct' or something like that.
I can't seem to solve it. Anyone have a resolve. I've read through the last heap of pages but am a bit slow after a huge morning working.

You don't have a separate barcode to scan anymore, it is now linked to your 7-eleven account so you can just use your account's barcode

Anyone having trouble with ifakelocation to download iOS 13.6 disk image? It just randomly crashes and won't complete the download let alone mounting/using the image.
I have the same problem - was working with 13.5.1 on a 14.0 image. Then today when I tried iFakeLocation on 13.6 it kept "downloading 13.6.zip", although I have downloaded the 13.6 developer image from github. Tried 14.0 to no avail either.

@georgev: Hmm, not sure. I don't have a physical macOS I can use to debug the issue which makes things harder. Can you try right-clicking on the app and click "Show Package Contents". In there, create a folder called DeveloperImages (it might already exist) and create a folder called 13.6 inside of it. Inside the 13.6 folder, put the DeveloperDiskImage.dmg and DeveloperDiskImage.dmg.signature files.

However, I'm following the instructions - I got the device connected. It says that if it is a first time user it should do something to my iOS device automatically to set it up as developer mode? It isn't doing that. I'm trying to follow the manual instructions that come with iFakeLocation - but I don't quite understand. I'm fairly good with common sense understanding computers but I seem to be lost.
So in summary: I just need to get it into developer mode and download something downloaded into developer mode?

I'm using Macbook Pro running Catalina 10.15.5.

I didnt have to anything on my iPhone besides plugging it in and unlocking it. Everything else was handled by ifakelocation.
Yeah, it isn't doing it automatically on my end. It just connects to the phone. I press "Set Fake Location" it doesn't confirm it's done that at all on the phone.
It seems to have skipped this step: *Click "Set Fake Location". If it is the first time doing this the tool needs to download some files to enable Developer Mode on your iDevice.
If for whatever reason the automatic developer image retrieval doesn't work, you can manually download them to be used in iFakeLocation. Create a folder called "DeveloperImages" (next to the iFakeLocation executable) and inside that folder make a folder for the iOS version you are running (eg. "12.4", "13.0", etc). Download the matching developer images from the following Github repo and unzip the DeveloperDiskImage.dmg + DeveloperDiskImage.dmg.signature file into the folder you created.

Yes I tried this - but I can't create a new folder next to the iFakeLocation executable. That's my issue. I'm using a Macbook Pro OS 10.15.5. It won't allow me to create any new folders.

Having read through all the guides posted here about how to get a fuel lock working on Android, I have to say it looks like an absolute nightmare and is only for those who are considerably tech competent. My phone is already rooted so I'm not sure why I need Magisk, either. No more going to 7-Eleven for me until a simpler (ELI5) method is provided.

That's not completely true at all. The instructions provided here are actually really good for those who don't know how to do it. I started doing all these for PoGo safetynet and I never had such detailed instructions. It was new to everyone and practically trial and error to know which ROM will work and which won't.

You need magisk hide otherwise My 7 Eleven app will detect your root. There are other options, but they are harder and require command prompt.
Thanks Code. The most comprehensive and fail-safe instructions here appear to be those of Kossac on 28 June. I'm yet to work out if I need to un-root my current phone (I can't recall when and what I used to root it originally) or perform some other step given that my phone is already rooted. I also need to teach myself how to back up and restore my phone if and when my phone runs into 'bootloop' or some other issue during the instructions. So getting to the first step alone will take some time for me.

Now bootloader is locked and I am unable to go into phone (bricked)

I'd go to xda and see if there's a unbrick your phone thread in there for your model. Bricked my Zte Axon 7 4 times when trying to kit it up for this.
I tried iFakeLocation on the latest IOS XS, didnt work, but 3utools worked perfectly for me, except its a little annoying having to reboot to reset to real location

Ok, this time I clicked "set" and now a popup says "Unable to mount developer image."
That's my bad just had to download the ios disk image which it did state in the instructions. All working now.

Trying to figure out the root stuff on an old phone, have installed Magisk and Smali and the app ninjas gps app and everything else is working perfectly, when trying to lock in the price, I get hit with Error E01. Anyone who went down the root method know how to get around this?

For me, I needed to use Magisk Hide option, and also use a method to change the name of the AppNinja's GPS (I used app cloner to clone the GPS app so I can label it something else)
Yeah, passed the SafetyNet test. Yep, I followed those steps too, cloned AppNinja's GPS via Privacy Mode and set up Magisk under a different name too and had set up Magisk Hide.
I think I solved the problem, in AppNinja's GPS app, I had to turn on "Enable Indirect Mocking" (previously had it set to off, as the Reddit thread talking about the Smali method make sure it's disabled). Turning it on, I proceeded to lock in fine without any error.
Can you confirm what setting you have the "Enable Indirect Mocking" option within AppNinja's app? Seems a few others in this thread have also experienced Error E01 when using the Smali method, so we might have a solution?

I actually never did this, on a Google Pixel 2, I couldn't find Privacy Mode anywhere in AppNinja's GPS.
I figured this step was to hide the name of the GPS app to help pass the SafetyNet test and evade any detection so I cloned it using AppCloner and labelled it something different, and SafetyNet test passed after"Enable Indirect Mocking"
I also do not see this option for me :|
But my Google Pixel 2 does pass SafetyNet test, and that's all that matters
E01 is when the SafetyNet check fails.I did use the Smali patcher though

Not so quick anymore for me. It took about a week to get a reply, then another three weeks to get the gift card in the mail.
So, they don't credit the account/tied to barcode in the backsystem? The predecessor app was better in that regard too.

The 'ElevenMe' app - you set it up in the settings and if the price drops under a certain price it will send you a notification.

I am getting Error E01 while trying to lock.
Followed the pokemon guide on reddit but not sure where I went wrong.

Make sure you have smali patcher and magisk hide.
E01 is attestation error which occurs when you aren't passing SafetyNet. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottyab.s… install that and check whether you pass or fail

i have downloaded the DeveloperImages and created the folder DeveloperImages>13.6 but i still cannot get it to work on an ios13.6 device?
Likewise, been having issues on IOS13.6 so had to use an older Apple device.

Just after some tech support from those in the know, I've got an old nexus 5 that I've now flashed with lineage 17.1 (android 10) and followed the full reddit guide in the original post… and now I'm so close! but It's failing on error E01 when i try to lock the price.
It finds the cheap price in the 7-11 app, so it is using the fake location data, but it just won't actually lock it… Error E01 :/
I've had a bit of a read through and saw some tips about enabling "indirect mocking" in my renamed GPS joystick app… but unfortunately that was already enabled. I also pass all safety net checks I've done. A bit stumped but will keep trying and update if I get anywhere, any help would be appreciated :)
EDIT: So just as a test, I tried to lock using the real GPS location of the phone, without running the GPS joystick app, it finds the real local prices and then still fails on Error E01…? I don't know if this narrows the problem down to something other than the GPS joystick app or not, but just thought I'd mention it.
E01 means safetynet check failed
Try to uninstall your GPS spoof app first and try again, see if the GPS app is your issue, don't worry you can always create more accounts to lock again, just need a working email (trashmail works well for multiple receiving addresses, but can only be sent to non-hotmail addresses)
If it works without your GPS app active, let me know

Ok so the step here I couldn't follow in this guide because I couldn't see "Privacy Mode"
- Now, get Appninjas Gps app from the playstore. Open it and enable privacy mode. It will promp you for a new name (you set one) and it will make a copy of the app with the name you took. Now, delete original app, and keep only that.
So the point of this step is to mask the mock location GPS app names.
Another OzB member was successful with my alternate method.
So to carry out the same task using a different tool, I used AppCloner
You will need to get the premium add-onYou can rename any app you want, and make sure you follow the instructions to generate a google maps API for your app cloner's clone of the AppNinja's GPS app.
Once cloned, remember to set the mock location app (in developer settings) to your newly named clone (and delete the original)
The last step for the other OzB member that I assisted.. was to restart their phone

These were from my private instructions for cloning 7/11 app (no longer working) but part of the technique can be adapted
Step 1-8 are for ensuring the GMAPs API key is loaded into the clones, you can try not following this bit and test if your clones have picked up the original 7/11 Google Maps API key. If no map loads even in Store Finder option, then it means you need to follow the Google Maps API key procedure
1) Three Stripes - Top left
2) Settings
3) Google Maps API Key - Click it
4) Generate Key
5) Create API key
6) Create a project
7) Copy your own key - do not share because there's usage limitations to your own key
8) See example key, go back to step 3 and paste it in there
9) Go to APKs and select7-Eleven FuelAppNinja's GPS App
10) Then, rename the app to something else, you won't need to "hide", clone the GPS app, then proceed to install
11) Delete the original AppNinja GPS app.
12) Go to developer options and set mock location to the new renamed AppNinja GPS appBut 7eleven app still saying you location isn't true
So just to confirm, you:
1) are using a rooted phone, rooted with Magisk?
2) have the official 7/11 app from the play store?
3) set the mock location app in developer options?Can you try uninstall all the GPS funny business and see what the 7/11 app comes up with?

Yeah mate had that all setup and installed.
After further testing in my reply to cwongtech it appears the app is detecting a mock location app being used rather than root itself, as I still have that now and it locked just fine without the mock location app installed.
@brad1601 - Did it finally work for you? I am having similar issue where i have hidden all apps etc from root but I believe 7eleven app is still detecting mock location app. I am getting you location isn't true. Any help? thanks
Make sure you pass Safety Net check on Magisk manager.
