7-Eleven Fuel App Watch - Nationwide - January 2017 to January 2022 » All Comments

    • +1

Next day when i did mine 3 weeks ago

      • Thanks for answering me. No credit in my account yet. I'll contact them if I don't see anything in a couple of days.

    • +1

The app claim didn’t work for me. Buggy perhaps? So I sent them an email and 6 days later I get a response with the credit to my account.

      • Glad that they resolve it in the end. I have no idea why I'm getting downvoted but I probably deserve it by others. Thanks for giving me an answer.

        • When you make a claim, the claim screen said 2 business days…..

  • -6

Just scanned my voucher and the system could not find it, had to pay full price.

  • +13

    U98 134.9c/L @ 7-Eleven Clontarf, QLD

    • -25

Is the new thing just posting a price from the Projectzero website?

Users can set notifications directly from that website. Then no one has to post here every time the price changes.

      • +10

Normally posting cheap prices is just spam, but the 134.9 is exceptionally cheap - most likely due to the station running out of U91 and the U98 getting dropped U91 prices.

      • +11

This thread was created for this purpose. You can always unsubscribe if you don't like it.

  • +4

I will be releasing my instructions privately of how to have multiple 7/11 clones running in the same phone at any given time. This will also get around the 2 fuel locks per 24 hours per device limitation.
Please Private Message me to obtain the instructions
Sample of cloned 7/11 apps to manage multiple 7/11 accounts, using App Cloner, PM for instructions

    • +2

App cloner is a wonderful thing

    • -3

will this method be able to lock a fuel price again eventhough you haven't used your current fuel lock?

      • +2

        No.

The rules of using 7/11 cannot be changed.
To get around that, you still need to either:
        1) Wait until the active fuel lock is gone
        2) Burn the fuel lock by doing minimum fuel up and using the undesirable lock (2L as per the pump as minimum delivery, but some others have reported you can do lower)

    • -1

      Assume this needs multiple accounts?

      • +5

Yes, it's for people like me who lock for others, let's you manage 10 accounts with one phone, you won't need to sign in and out every time.

  • +3

Got a 136.9 ron 98 voucher up for grabs, 56 litres. Valid until 8 30pm tomoorrow.

    • Legend. Just locked for 2 accounts.

      • +3

  • -13

Can someone pm me how to lock in cheapest price with fake location?

Was using nox previously but no longer supported.

    Thanks in advance

    • +7

      1) Use multi-instance manager for NOX and use the latest android (Nox from memory is on Android 4.4?)
      2) Use Bluestacks instead
      3) Get an android phone

      No more spoonfeeding.

      • +2

New version of Bluestacks supports multiple instances now too.

        • i think thats for windows only,,Mac still has no support for multi instances

  • +3

Their systems were down this afternoon. Couldn't redeem lock or pay with fuel card and had to pay full price on eftpos. Also couldn't redeem the free drink in the app but he put it through as 1 cent for me.

    • Was working at 2.35pm AEDT

  • Have a U98 voucher at 134.9c up for grabs, expiring at 6:02pm (QLD, less than 1 hour). 59L.

    PM me.

    • -1

      I'm keen. But I can't pm you

  • Hi I'm getting internal server error trying to set auto lock in from both Qpython3 and Termux on my android phone. Both have been running well until today. Anyone has this issue? Uninstall and reinstall Termux does not help.

    • -1

I too am having internal server errors today.

  • -1

Thanks mate for your quick response. It helps to know it's not my apps issue.

    • +7

I'll push an update in a minute. It's because master131's server (not his changes he told me) doesn't let us use a user-agent which has "python-requests" in it (which is the default user-agent).

      • +8

I'm following it up with my hosting provider - I haven't changed any config in months.

        • +1

Looks like they weren't much help - might be a hosting level directive to reduce botting, Freighter will put out a fix for it.

  • +18

Thanks masters131 and Freighter for both of your hard work. Don't know what else to say to show my appreciations.

  • -5

I only seem to be able to lock in once, then I have to uninstall and reinstall the 7-Eleven apk.

When I try to lock in the second time, I always get an error :
    Location Error
We couldn't find your current location, please try again later.

I'm using Fake GPS and other apps pick up the location correctly.

    • When I try to lock in the second time, I always get an error :
      Location Error
We couldn't find your current location, please try again later.

I've seen this when you have given permission to the app, but your global location settings are set to off..
      Check those.

Otherwise switch to the OG method of Nox/Bluestacks

  • +1

Hi Freighter and master131 all running well now after reinstalling python into Termux. Thanks a million.

    • Hmm I've tried deleting and reinstalling on Termux, but I'm still getting the Internal Server Error message.

Last line in Termux is is "OSError: [Errno 98] Address already in use".

      I ran the following codes:

      rm -rf 7Eleven-Python
      git clone https://github.com/freyta/7Eleven-Python.git
      cd 7Eleven-Python
      python app.py

      • +2

I deleted cache and cleared app data, then uninstalled Termux, then restarted the device & did everything on here:

        https://github.com/freyta/7Eleven-Python/wiki/Android-detail…

Maybe there is an easier way, but that worked for me.

        • Okay, I've done exactly that and it works now. Can't tell what went wrong though haha.

        • +2

          I did slightly less.
          Clear data on termux
Then run through fresh install from GitHub of freighters glorious work.

No need to uninstall or reboot.

On a side not I don't have to logout and in for my fuel lock anymore.

  • -26

Sorry, can anyone please provide instructions on how to use to fake location and use 7 eleven app to lock price?

    • +4

      I'm looking at you @cwongtech .

You promised, no more spoon feeding!!!!

      • +1

Noob guidance system is on. I'm making them try as hard as they can before I assist.

  • -2

Lol, nice one @Dud, tell them without telling them.

    • +2

Damnit, that was meant to be a reply

  • +2

I just realised my Patreon for Master131 hasn't been debiting for a couple of months now. Is there a new link?

  • -7

I just went to lock in an it says Newtown qld is 129.9 for u91 but it's saying 142 when locking in

    • +2

Do you have it set to U95 accidentally?

    • +2

Newtown 4350 near Toowoomba, not Newtown 4305 near Ipswich.
Make sure to use postcode when setting location.

  • Anyone with android 10 here with Fake GPS Location working?

    • +2

Was originally working then stopped all of a sudden. A week after i got my Pixel 4.

I changed to a different app and worked fine.

      https://imgur.com/a/eVJPbsI

The above does have heaps of ad's hence, i downloaded the mod APK.

A little more complicated but works a treat.

      • Thanks Dud.

For anyone else reading I'm using a Note 9 running Android 9.

Mocklocation still gavw me the error. However Fake GPS worked.

    • +2

Try Mocklation. The search function isn't working so you have to look up the location you wish to emulate in Google Maps, switch back to Mocklation and manually zoom in and save the location. A little tedious but it works.

      • Glad it wasn't just me. I wonder when they'll fix the search function….hmmm…?

      • +1

If you use this app ElevenMe, you can swipe to copy the GPS coordinates, then paste them into mocklation
        https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.com.buysfly…

        • Cheers mate!

        • tried to install the app. getting this error "your device isn't compatible with version" am on android 6.0

        • -1

How do you paste in mocklation app?

  • +12

This might be a little off topic, but I recently made an app in Flutter to show the latest fuel prices from project Zero Three in a way that looks good and is accessible. The link is here: https://fueltastic.codemagic.app/#/.

Every time you use it to check for prices it logs the price at that time, and plots it into a graph on the inspect page.

It's very early days but I wanted to make it so I could make something in Flutter web. I literally wrote it two weeks ago and it is the sum total of ~3 hours of work, so if you have any feature requests etc just let me know and I will try to implement them.

(Disclaimer: It's really early in development. Also, Flutter for Web isn't suited for production apps just yet (so they say) so if you have any issues or whatever I'm all ears).

    • Feature request: choose which fuel types to display.

      • Ah yeah, it shows 95/98/91 etc etc, so, all available types. There are only ~6 types of fuel.

So you'd like to be able to tick boxes for what fuel to show/hide? I can take a crack at that.

        • Yeah. I only ever buy 91 and 98 so I’d like to hide the others.

        • +3

I implemented this today! Tap the three dots up the top right to select a filter. Filters are remembered between visits…. so you should only have to select them once.

I also got it building for iOS and Android the other day as native apps. I'll post links for the app soonish.

    • +4

Cool. But what benefit does it offer over https://projectzerothree.info/trends.php?

      • +8

It's kind of a difficult value proposition. It doesn't really offer any value over the existing trends page, or even the page on the project zero three that shows the cheapest fuel around the country.

It exists because I'm getting into a new development framework (Flutter) and they've recently added web support, so I made this project to try to write an app that would work for Android/iOS and Web. The value exists more in using new technology to accomplish new things.

But, instead of me just using the prototype, I figured to release it here to see what other people think.

Of course, maybe someone has a burning feature that they want and I can implement it, like the guy above who asked to be able to filter down to certain fuel types. Through that kind of community engagement it could be possible to develop something with significant value 😁

    • +1

      Thumb up first~.
Please add post code after the suburb name, because there are some GPS relocating app (incl. the one I'm using, called LocationFaker on jailbroken iOS from Cydia) can let you to quickly input post code to relocate. It will help a great lot~ Thanks.

Anybody having issues with Android 10? Cant seem to get 7-11 app to recognise a mock location

  • -33

Is there step by step instructions anywhere on how to fake location on GPS?

U98 141.9 Mulgrave VIC (Waverly Gardens)

Out of stock of U91 price

  • -9

    Bloody amazing app

  • -3

Just updated to Andriod 10 on my S10+ and i cant seen to change the 7/11 app location using any of the location mocking apps:

    So far, i have tried:

    • GPS Joystick;
    • Fake GPS;
    • Mocklocation;
    • FakeGPS Free

Locking in the positions of the cheap fuel locations are fine within those apps, but when i reopen and resign in into the 7/11 app to try and lock fuel in, the 7/11 app still shows my current real location.

    • Under Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer Options

If you scroll down to debugging section.
There's a Select Mock Location App

Make sure it has your preferred app selected.
IIRC I had to remove & re-install FakeGPS after the OS update to get it working.

      • Thanks for your reply, I have done this setting change to all the spoof apps and have also tried reinstalling these apps but still no go.

        • There are a few fake GPS apps.

Go back a page to my post. I have a link with what app worked for me.

Have you tried the app that I have circled?

      • When I select Fake gps it says 7Eleven selected for me. Why?

    • Just a tip with Android 10 since I had the same problem with multiple GPS spoofing apps. I use the app that @cheapass88 linked.

I've found that you'll have to leave the GPS spoofing app open for a minute or two. Then open the 7-11 app for it to show the fake location, instead of your real one.

  • +5

with the release of CheckRa1n the latest iOS can be again jail-broken. Use with LibertyLite to block jailbreak detection and GPSCheat to spoof your GPS location in the 7-11 App.

    • -3

A bypass also works for 13.3 jailbreak detection

  • Just setting this up on my new NAS through Docker - it seems there are now two packages with the fuellock name? Is this the correct one - I note that it's from a clone of the git? https://registry.hub.docker.com/r/shzx1234/fuellock

Oil prices set to rise amid the US and Iran crisis. Get filling and locking people while its still cheap! Source

    • +4

Not sure why I got negged. I've seen prices jump to over $1.75 in multiple areas around Sydney. Just giving a heads up…

      • +2

Melbourne is on the rise also- up to about $1.75/L

        • -3

          hmmmm lock now or wait

          • +4

@mrshorty: I was better off with Coles for once. Got a 10c flybuys discount, plus 4c shopping voucher plus 4c linkt voucher. Some areas you're better off with Woolies- 4c off plus 5% wish card.
Either way, it's safer to fuel up now. Won't be going much lower.

          • @mrshorty: ¿Porque No Los Dos? This is why I have a second account

@knight321 I laugh at your $1.75 in multiple areas around Sydney, and raise you a $1.93 at my local

            • @deeevan: Yes I saw it at $1.93 in the CBD yesterday when it's still $1.29 in my area.

Anyone experiencing issues locking fuel by any chance?
    I’m using Bluestack on pc

    • -1

      why not nox

      • It wasn’t working on my Mac so I switched to bluestack on pc, didn’t know it was available on pc. Will download it now, thank you! :)

    • nope. Just locked in some ULP. Worked fine for me.

  • +23

    • $25 Off today thanks to Coburg discount, and ElevenMe app… 👍🏻

      • $43 savings 4 hours ago

    • I've got 1 spare voucher for this expiring at 917AM 37L. Pm me - first in best dressed.

      Edit - gone

  • Does anyone else have issues when, after stopping mocklation, Google maps navigation screws up such that you don't get an arrow anymore that updates live but instead it's just a dot that updates every 15 seconds for your location?

    • -1

Yep, have had the same issue for the last 6 months. Still have not figured out how to fix it.

      • +1

I sign out of Google maps, restart phone, sign back in.

        Some annoying sht right there.

        • +2

No need to sign out, but I definitely need to restart the phone.

    • +2

Yeah gotta restart your phone. Mocklation messes with my gps as well. Mate 20 pro if relevant.

      • -2

Could you provide an instruction how to mock your location? I tried different apps but they don't work. I use Mate 20 pro as well.

        • Enable developer mode on your phone then go into dev settings and scroll down until you see "mock location app" and then select the one you want to use

    • I have that issue sometimes. Huawei P20 Pro.

  • -1

Does the app need to be updated again? It keeps ignoring FakeGPS

    • Fakegps (one with yellow thing on it) stopped working for me. Mocklation works.

      • Can you search a location in Mocklation or do you have to manually locate it?

        • The search function seems to have been disabled for a few months now. Someone above pointed out an easy way to do by downloading another app. It beats having to manually search for the place and then lock it in.

        • -1

I'm using Mocklation and it works. I just punch in Suburb name and Post code and flies me straight there.

  • -4

anyone know how to bypass the 7 eleven app from recognising the mock location setting beting turned on using Fake GPS app by ByteRev?

    • +5

Yeah, use master131/freighter modified 7/11 apks. it's the first pinned comment on the thread

      • Thank you so much!! i finally got it to work :) thank you for bearing with me

  • +1

Just checked projectzerothree and U98 is down at U95 prices. Given the likely price spike, a good time to lock in! Just did mine.

    U98 @ 134.5, East Coburg VIC

    • -1

Just saw it was posted as a deal earlier (came here first as I need petrol)… ah well.

    • Locked this in yesterday and appeared today as expired. Can anyone else confirm this has happened to them?

      • Mine's still available. Does your lock show in the fuel price lock history in settings?

      • Log in and out, I think you might be seeing your old lock

        • @knobbs definitely not, I topped up on a voucher then locked this in and confirmed it on my wife's phone so she could use.

@shiznit:nope, just the one I used yesterday.

Super weird, oh well 146.7 instead :(

  • -36

How to lock fuel price and pay in cash?

    • +20

Literally remove the question mark from your comment and that's your answer. F me dead, do your own god damn research.

    • +12

Hand in your Ozbargain badge, hold your head in shame and start walking………….and keep walking.

      • -30

You dont have to be rude. Im just asking, what is wrong to this place, i thought people here are friendly

        • +18

There's 94 pages of comments in them. Sorry but if you want to join in and enjoy the benefits of 7/11 savings, you're going to need to put in a little effort into learning yourself..

    • +5

      Step 1. Lock fuel price
Step 2. Pay for it in cash
      Step 3. ???

What is the issue, I always do it this way

      • +5

Step 3. Post questions in this thread asking to be spoonfed for questions that have been asked and answered multiple times.

  • -5

Is anyone have issues with Free Coffee Offer barcode not appearing?
I still get Error Please Try Again
    even though Offer Valid: 9/1/20 - 5/2/20

    • +2

Not sure if this is your issue or not but you can only generate one barcode per device.

      • -1

Only use phone for redemption. It happens with free coffee and $1.50 banana bread

        • Even you have 2 accounts but using the same device (login and logoff), you will only get 1 barcode. The subsequent account you login using the same device will show error without barcode.

          • @cttung: The way I found to resolve is to log in to the account via Nox, go to the deal, wait for it voucher to show up, then log out from Nox and log back in on your phone.

            • @andyman1908: Using a similar method I instead installed and ran a separate session via Samsung's Secure folder on the same device. Logged into my account and the barcode now appears for both products. Went back to my original app and hey presto the barcodes now appear.

  • +22

Would people be interested in a price only thread for price jump updates, no other discussion allowed?
As much as i love you all, i don't particularly want 13 email updates for:
"How to lock fuel price and pay in cash?" and the subsequent 12 flame replies.
Admittedly i only went through 30 of the 94 pages of the thread looking and couldn't find if it existed through search.
Feel free to link me and downvote me to hell if it does exist.

    • +7

I'd love that. I always through that was the main goal of this thread, but the powers that be didn't agree and it's become more of a spoofing app troubleshooting page.

    • +1

Project three zero has a method to setup price alerts for fuel types that drop below a specified price. Still, I think a price only thread would be a great idea.

    • +9

I see your issue but for me the elevenme app has basically superceded any need for a price drop thread. I got a notification on my phone about 20mins before the last big 98 price drop showed up on the front page of ozbargain.

All this thread really needs to be at this point is somewhere for us to link to the apks and the relevant people's donations apps for their hard work in getting this whole thing to work for us.

      • Same experience for me too. But I always welcome redundant notifications for good bargain.

      • +5

^The original 7/11 apk modder, please download the below and donate your Google Play credits! (might as well since there's heaps expiring from the Google Survey Rewards!)
        • Master131 is not accepting donations as he can fully self-fund running costs, but please remember to thank him for all his hard work!
^The ProjectZeroThree coder, also now releases 7/11 modded apks
        • ElevenMe is BernardKung, I believe they already have an in-app donation link in the ElevenMe app
      • +1

I was not aware of the elevenme app - that's quite handy! Thanks.

Does the app show the price drops before ProjectZeroThree?

        • +2

It uses the same data shown on ProjectZeroThree.

    • -6

Do you mean topping up the physical 7/11 gift card, or loading the value of gift card in the app?

If latter, tap on "my card" on top right corner in the app, and choose "7-11 gift card transfer".

  • -4

Hey all, I'm looking for some advice. Like an absolute pringus, I didn't scan my voucher before I paid with my 7/11 gift card. Furthermore, I didn't get a receipt at the time because I thought it went through happily.

Upon getting home, I realised what a stupid mistake I made. I paid full price for the fuel and the voucher is still locked on my phone.

I went in to look at the gift card purchase/usage history but I can't find anything. In fact, I can't even find the gift card number :( anyone got any tips on how I can get the fuel lock allocated to my purchase and get a refund?

    • +8

In case anyone else has this problem, call them up! The call centre staff can reprint the receipt and apply it for you.

Thanks for all the downvotes too… Appreciate it : (

      • -3

With 945 subscribers it doesn’t take much to get flamed, also it’s unlikely anyone here could’ve helped you. Glad you got a refund though, that’s nice of the CSR.

  • +9

Mulgrave VIC 98 Fuel for 139.7

    • Thank you!

    • Awesome, used up my U91 voucher and quickly lock in this price. Thanks for the heads up!

  • +1

Can't seem to find a search option, so without going through 94 pages, is there any reason why I couldn't login to the same account on my wife's phone as mine? That way I do the "hard" part of locking it in and if needed, she can just show the voucher on the app on her phone?

We don't fuel up that often that two seperate accounts would really be needed.

    • Have you tried it yet?

      • Haven't just didn't want to get my account banned or something silly due to it not being allowed 😅 I guess I can just try it.

    • +5

is there any reason why I couldn't login to the same account on my wife's phone as mine? That way I do the "hard" part of locking it in and if needed, she can just show the voucher on the app on her phone?

That's exactly what I do for my friends who are on inferior phones (iPhones) and thus unable to easily fly like my android phone..

      Type the correct password in

There's no reason why an account cannot be signed into as many phones as you like.

      • -1

        Awesome mate, thanks for confirming.

        • +1

I can also confirm “inferior” phone user with old android that flies country wide to get sweet deals from 117.

Note: for months my account is logged on 3 devices. No issue yet

  • +64

    Good afternoon.

Here's a little surprise, I guess. A new modded APK for you all.
    Link -> http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=031025890523581…
    Link 2 -> https://anonymousfiles.io/hO5gO9ni/

Note: You'll need to uninstall your other APK(s) if you wish to use this one.

    Now to what is new:
I've added 2 new functions for your using pleasure. One lets you generate a new device ID when you want one. What this lets you do is lock in more than 2 times in 24 hours on that one device. There is a slight problem though, and that is that you need to force close the app after pressing the button. The second one some will like, some will hate, but I've been sitting on this for months now and I don't use 7-Eleven much anymore so I think it's time to share: You no longer need to use a fake GPS app to mock your location.

    Detailed usage:
Mock location - Click on 'Store Finder' and either search for your store, or click on a store and press the orange directions button. That's all that is needed. You can dismiss the navigation popup, I just didn't remove that functionality. I've locked in a few times with this method and it works fine. The only negative in this public version is that it will always lock in at the last set store. But beggars can't be choosers haha!

Generating a new device id: Click on 'Settings' and press the 'GENERATE A NEW DEVICE ID' button. You will get a toast message saying that a new device id was generated and to force close the app. To force close the app open the app switcher and close the app through there. This is because when you first start the app it finds your device id and I couldn't manage to get it to reload it after resuming/restarting the app.

should be a nice surprise for you subscribers to this thread

Thank you freighter + Master131 for all your hard work!

        • Y'know, wasn't that closed down sometime ago, or did I mistake that for someone else here?

      • Thanks guys. Masterpiece! Donated to the cause!!

    • When you click "Find my best local price", did it force close app? I'm experiencing this on my pixel 2.

      • +2

You may need to first choose a store in the store finder part. Give that a whirl and let me know how it goes.

        • Looks good…thanks

        • Works! Thanks again Freighter!

        • +2

I'm experiencing crashes when locking in. I clicked on the store in store finder and waited for the petrol prices to load just in case and then clicked on 'find my best local price' but the app just closes each time

Edit: don't worry, I can't read. I wasn't clicking the directions button. I'll leave my comment just in case others are as silly as me

    • Brilliant stuff mate

I have new version of app installed, Had Price locked.
I can see that price has gone lower, i used option to create new Device ID, Force closed app.

How do i lock in new price as it still earlier price locked??

    • +1

Why don't you use 7-11 much anymore? @freighter
And with the 2nd id, do I need to top up that id or does it use the funds from the first id to lock? Thx

    • Hi mate, thanks a lot for the app, trying to sue it today and it is saying no internet connection, is there a specific reason for this? Much appreciated

    • For some reason it's not working for me at all.

Error when I want to log in:

An, error has occurred. Please try again later
      (error code: Foxtrot)

Store finder, type store location, click on it, no fuel data, an, unknown error occurred, please try later.

Same, thing done but I click on the orange arrow, takes me to google maps then back to 7 eleven map, says I can lock in now from my selected location and again sorry an error occurred, tried going to settings, requesting new ID, clearing the app from recent apps, nothing helps.

      Any suggestions? Thanks heaps.

      • +1

I believe there are currently some issues with 7 11's app/system as everyone is receiving that message following their maintenance notification.

        • +1

My fear will be, they see a good price and they lock the app down so no one can lock it in. Still unable to log on personally.

        • Thanks 👍

    • +1

      Hi Freighter,
Great work on this! Very appreciative.
Just wondering - I've noticed generating a new device ID doesn't necessary work for the offer barcodes, especially the free coffee (ID works perfectly for my multi-account fuel lock setup). I can only claim one offer barcode (coffee etc) per device and have to use a whole other device to claim a coffee on another account, even on a different calendar day etc. I assumed the new device ID would also manage this, but it doesn't seem to. Any thoughts?
      Thanks :)

      • Interesting, I never claim coffees (don't drink it) and never try to buy the specials.

What happens when you do claim a coffee? The code disappears? Maybe I need to pm you so we can try and work on it.

        • There's no barcode on the secondary accounts even if I haven't claimed on any accounts. Once one account has generated a barcode, it just says there's an error on all subsequent ones - screenshot.

    • Just downloaded this app today, awesome work!

My mock GPS app keeps messing up the GPS on my phone (need to reboot before I can use Google maps properly), so this eliminates that inconvenience

      • +1

I had the same problem with mock GPS!

I think my local 7-11 guys are on to me :)

Them: "Wow that's a great price where do you find that"
Me (GPS faker): "Oh, umm, been doing a lot of driving around"
Them: "Lucky you… I think some people just cheat the system… (staring intently)"
    Me "Umm, yeah, I'm sure there's a way… Bye!"

It's my local, I think I've been filling up too much there recently lol. There's only like 3-4 staff and I'm a regular… I might need to diversify

    • +11

I just start off the conversation saying their servo is so expensive. That way youre on the offensive.

    • +4

Nah it doesn't come out of their pocket (staff or owner).

I always say I've been interstate and someone tipped me off. I find my local staff are really excited when I save anything over $10.

I lock in for my 70 year old Mum.

  • -8

So they only allow 2 locks within 24hrs. I need to do a 3rd and can not figure out a workaround using Nox from my PC.
I tried installing it on my brothers Mac, but it wont install the 7/11 app and I tried sideloading the apk, nothing happens.
    Anyone ideas?

I have tried the above apk, though it gives me endless foxtrot messages and won't log me in. Could I get some reasoning behind the down votes. At least I will be wiser?

    • +1

You can try running multiple instances of Nox on your PC or install Bluestacks which works the same as Nox.

      • Multiple instances didn't seem to work, though blue stacks most definitely did!
The app registered it as a different device and I got my 3rd lock in… Much appreciated! ☺️

    • -11

you get downvoted for asking any type of question in this thread almost. You're not even being unreasonable or being asked to be spoonfed. The only real reason is that the downvoters are @rseh0les.

      • Not sure why but that didn’t work for me. I had to use a GPS Spoof…

P.S. device ID function works at treat. Great work Freighter.

thanks so much Freighter! worked a treat just now on my Galaxy S9+. looked on PZ3 to find cheapest ULP (in this case it was Ryde NSW), opened up the "new" app, went to store finder, searched for Ryde, hit the magic orange button, cancelled the google maps popup, then went to lock price. at first it looked as though it hadn't worked as it was just displaying stores in my area, then right at the last second, it popped up with Ryde as the locked price. nicely done.

    • Are there any discounted 7-eleven gift cards available as with all the discounts available (8c + 10% = around 23c off the listed prices) on woolworths/caltex petrol stations its hard to beat them after the discounts have been applied.

      • how're you getting the 8c+10% off fuel if I may ask

to answer your Q i haven't seen any discount 711 GC's, similar to Bunnings cards rarely/barely have discounts either

      • YMMV depending on your location.

Yep, I've thought about this. For example, North Ryde in Sydney has a couple of close proximity petrol stations, a 7-11, WOW/Caltex, independent. They are usually near the lowest with the competition and with the 4/8c and Wish GC discount WOW/Caltex is hard to beat.

Unfortunately I don't live nearby and don't want to waste time driving out of my way to get petrol at the lows. There are many 7-11's on my usual driving route.

        • *West Ryde

    • -3

4c for spending $30 in woolworths*

4c for spending $5* in caltex (2x 2 litres of milk!)

10% discount on everything by paying with a gift card ftom Good Guys concierge deals (*including a further 10% off the we shop and caltex milk)

If you buy $100 of fuel at $1.60/l (for ease of calculation) alongside your $30 shop and $5 milk, you are getting:

      nearly $15 off your petrol
      50c off your milk
      $3 off your shop

That's almost 14% off your essential purchases!

      Pretty amazing, eh?

If you missed the GGC offer, buy 5% discounted gift cards from Cashrewards websites.

You forgot to factor in the 3 mth delivery time frame and potential PayPal disputes…

        Extremely low availability
        More committed spend
Locked to woolies-fully owned Caltex with the 8c offer

Also you're spending an additional amount instore to qualify for the additional 4cpl discount as well as time used for the $30/ per woolies shop, not every Caltex is fully woolies owned (only fully owned woolies has the 8c offer)

Where as for 7/11, if you can fly, you don't need to worry about watching price surges.

Your method does save money but way less convenient.

Any one having issues locking using master APK 1.8 and NOX on PC?

    • Same here.

Heck, I even logged out and log back in to no avail. It had a "incorrect password" error instead (and I punched it in correctly).

      • Mine error is different. Its unable to lock as it say unknow errors.

        • Interesting. Before logging out, the barcode page didn't refresh after I had used it a few days before (in order to lock in again).

          • +1

@silverrat23: That was my initial problem. I then uninstall the app and re-installed but now everytime I try to lock it say unknown error

            • +4

@ecdysis: Was having the same issue with Foxtrot error - I think its because Nox is default using Android 5. Changing to android 7 and back up and running with my apache helicopter for lock in savings.
To change from android 5 to 7 on Nox:
              1.Go to Nox install directory

              2.Open MultiPlayerManager.exe

3.Down there is a blue button "Add emulator", click it

4.You'll see a drop down menu click androud 7

5.That's it, let it download or whatever configure the settings and start

    • If u using PC host Docker. Hassle free.

    • Maybe temporarily if anything, oil prices have crashed a little. Prices will come down.

    • Perth has a weekly cycle and the cheapest nationwide hasn’t gone up recently. I’m not too worried.

      • My local just hit 189.9 for 98…definitely something fishy but the cycle looks on its way up!

  • Hi all,
I have a U98 127.7 Voucher up for grabs, expires tomorrow night 8pm. First to PM their email gets it.

  • I was so excited to use my first voucher, but when I got to my local 7-eleven, there was a sign on the U98 saying "Hose not in use" :( Does this happen often? Anyway, PM me for U98 127.9 voucher. I don't know what I need to tell/send you so please let me know. First timer here on refueling using this app.

    EDIT: Expires 8:35am on 14/02/2020

    • Could I please have it?

    But this is urgent.

! Always ask and keep your fuel receipts at least for one week, it may save you thousands in engine damage repair costs !

My friend filled up Premium 98 fuel from 7/11 North Parramatta, NSW on 13th February, 2020 at approximately 10PM
Their car broke down the next morning, car had 14L/47L of fuel prior to incident (also from another 7/11 which ran fine for a week), car was towed to Honda.
Honda dealership mechanics report there was water contamination in the fuel

This can happen at ANY fuel station, not just 7/11

I thought in Australia a bank statement is a legal proof of purchase. It’s up to the retailer to prove what you bought?

      https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/prices-surcharges-receipts…

      • I also concur with this. Can anyone shed some light as to whether this would be acceptable if we were in a similar situation without a receipt?

        • +2

I also concur with this. Can anyone shed some light as to whether this would be acceptable if we were in a similar situation without a receipt?

If you're using the 7/11 app, it will tell you the time your last voucher was redeemed as well as your last lock price.
If you pay by card, you can find your transaction amount on the card, divide the transaction amount by the fuel lock price, and you will be able to find the litres filled (assuming your fuel lock covered the entirety of the fuel volume filled)

          So you have the following:
          - Timestamp + Date (from 7/11 app)
          - Transaction Amount (from bank statement/card transaction data)
          - Fuel volume (back calculated from last fuel lock voucher from 7/11 and transaction amount)

Should be able to go in-store and ask for the receipt to be retrieved, given the information.
As per ACCC link above, you have up to seven days to request it

        • +1

A bank statement has a transaction number associated with the purchase. The station is required to retain all transactions so it can be linked easy enough, if they do it or not is another question.. but its a simple enough process to do.

    • +5

      @cwongtech - Great post!

I always ask for my receipt to note down my discount, but I've been wondering if it's worth retaining it. As I thought, if you had issues by paying on card you could show you bought fuel form there.
Even if a statement helps, it's faster to produce a receipt than a bank statement.

There's a Shell petrol station around me which has closed for the past week, I suspect it's due to water in the tanks from the recent Sydney storms.

As a side note, insurance also covers this type of damage. If you can provide the at fault party details, they can also recover from them and you won't have to pay your excess (ready your PDS). Make sure if you get any work done to keep a sample of the fuel for proof, should they require it.

Tried locking in U98 from Ellenbrook for 139. 3, but then it auto switches to Black Rock for 143. 9… Any idea as to why it wouldn't do cheapest? Or could it have expired

  • 121.1 Ellenbrook WA
    Unleaded 91
Not the best but cheaper then e10

  • Is there some sort of limit to the number of devices logged into your account?

Not sure if it's an app issue or not, but I gave my family my login details so they can get cheap petrol too, and some of them it locks in on their phones straight away, but the others need to log out and log back in to get the fuel lock.

    • Why do they not just create their own account? It is simple and easy to do.

      • Because I'm the one who's tech-y enough to do the mock GPS stuff.

It's not a huge inconvenience, I only do it for my immediate family but yeah, just curious if there was some system in place or just the app messing up a bit.

        • Your first comments sounds like they lock in the fuel themselves? However, I do know that if you are 'sharing' fuel locks by either account sharing (which I don't recommend) or by sending a screen shot and then the family member using it, the lock will still show (even if the voucher has been used) until you go to 'show voucher' it will then update itself and then take you back to the home screen to re-lock in a new price… Does that make sense and is that what you mean?

          • @CrocDundee: Oh so you can just send the screenshot and that works too? I was under the impression that it sort of "refreshed" to a new barcode every time you hit "show voucher" (as it had the spinning wheel when you tap it).

But yes that is what I was trying to say in my original comment, sorry for not being clear enough!

The issue was they would be logged into my account, I would lock the price, but on their app it wouldn't be locked in, although if they logged out and logged back in then the lock would show up.

I think I might just send screenshots from now on if that works then, saves a bit of a hassle. Thank you for the heads up!

            • +1

@mangobango: Yeah a little more complicated if you have others logging into your account. The app would need to be refreshed by logging in and out if a lock was done via a different phone.

For me, just sending a screen shot has worked however, I know others have had their voucher rejected by the attendant when just showing a screen shot. I've been lucky so far that the several times I've done that, there hasn't been an issue.

All good though. Just wanted to be helpful and understand what you were trying to do.

              Good luck!

              • @CrocDundee:

The app would need to be refreshed by logging in and out if a lock was done via a different phone.

This will force and refresh, however simply force closing the app via multi tasking and relaunching the app can work as well!

                • @cwongtech: Unfortunately no.

The weird thing is, one of my brothers and my mum's phone picks up the lock automatically when I do it on my phone, but my other brother and my dad need to log out and log back in. Even force closing the app and also rebooting the phone doesn't work so they need to log back in instead.

        • +1

I do this too, but I use App Cloner (paid version).
I have one account for each person/car, and each account is logged into it's own cloned version of the hacked 7-Eleven app. Each person is logged into the proper store version of the app with their own account so they can access the lock I create for them. Another benefit of this is you use their money to fund their account.

          • @PepePepeson: Might give this a whirl too, never heard of App Cloner but I'll check it out when I get home from work.

Just to minimize the risk of them not scanning the screenshot.

            Thank you!

EDIT: Just realized this means I need to get more $100 gift cards for each person. Might stick to the screenshots for now, but I'll definitely keep this option in the back of my mind!

U98 130.7 Waverly Gardens Mulgrave VIC - Seems to keep dropping

  • Fuel prices will keep dropping due to Corona Virus and impact to the economy.

    • It's the other way around, the prices will rise.
AUD exchange rate is already the performing lowest. With shortage of supply for most of the stuffs, the price will rise.

      • Oil prices are falling though. Overall I think there will be a slight decrease in prices.

      • +2

        Nope. Prices will fall.

        • +1

Yes that's what tends to happen if there is a global recession

          • @TEER3X: I agree, if it's a global recession. However, Oil is priced and traded in dollars. So if you have a weak exchange rate - how many dollars you can buy with sterling - it's going to cost more in pounds to buy that fuel. if you know what I mean.

Australia gets nearly 95% of its fuel from Singapore. Exchange rate is a key, plus the other factors.

      • You were saying? Price of oil has tanked.

It's because their 91 tank is faulty. It's fixed now. They are using 98 for 91

sorry new to the thread…can I lock prices from QLD…and use it in NSW?

  • -3

Hey all, sorry for spamming you all this late at night but I just did something that may solve the issue for everyone that tries to lock in fuel:

    http://bit.ly/fuel-lock

It works as a charm and I just locked from my iPhone using Safari.

This is the same docker machine built by @Freyta and deployed to a VPS on DigitalOcean. I have no idea of the traffic that this will get and for now I'm paying the small amount of USD 5 per month. Depending on the traffic I might have to upgrade it to a more expensive machine, until then will be for free.

PS: For the ones not aware, by having this running on a machine of my own means that I may be doing anything, including steal passwords, etc. I'll search a way to automatic deploy what is on Github straight to my machine, which means that the open source code you can see on Github will be the same running on that page and you can feel a little bit safer.

    That's it, hoe you enjoy

    • +9

      Similar thing been done before
When 7-eleven realised was from the same IP everyone got banned (although got the gift card equivalent of their funds back). This is far too risky. Hence this big warning: 7-Eleven do not permit 3rd party online scripts from receiving your login credentials. Ensure that any code is only executed locally and is trusted.

    • +4

Great idea. Have been doing this for myself and friends. Great idea, but of course there is a risk of passwords getting stolen (not necessarily by you, but others may snoop since it's not a secured connection. To be extra safe, one should change passwords before using this and then change it back afterwards. Regardless, a brilliant idea and viable compromise between safety and convenience.

Edit: And of course there is the issue of 7/11 getting wind of this if it gets too popular.

    • +8

I ran this exact same thing, and resulted in hundreds of people being banned.
I also had 7/11 corporate find me on linkedin as they did a whois of my website, then contacted me and threatened me legally.

Latest iPhone app update (version 1.10.0):

"We've made it even easier to lock in your best local fuel price at 7-Eleven! You now no longer need to have funds on your digital gift card to lock in a fuel price - simply search for your best local price, lock it in and then head in to your nearest store in the next 7 days!

    What's new in this release:
Removed the need to top up your Digital Gift Card
Removed the need to add a credit card
Removed the need to select the number of litres to lock in fuel
    Updated Terms & Conditions
    Bug fixes and improvements

What an unexpected surprise. I wouldn't have seen this coming as I thought they would be making some interest off of the prepaid funds.

    • I think the problems they have in keeping all these variables working, private / secure most cost them a bit. Making the app easier will just mean less I.T cost for them.

    • Interest rates falling might be a factor too

  • Do we have to update Master's APK file to work?or can we continue using his superior APP until 7 11 tell us to update.

    • -2

Tested just now and it still works.

  • +6

Looks like we need a new update for the app. Mine gives me the option of exiting the app or opening play store.

    • -3

Yes…now mine is giving me this message. I was lucky to get one last squirt in.

  • +1

Can confirm the same as above. using Modded apk v1.8 no longer options, forced to uninstall and install v1.10.0 for app to open.

      • -1

        Wow, yours too?
I wonder if it's working for anyone else at the moment.

        • -3

Same here. It's asking for an update.

    • +11

How about everyone not spam all the ozbargainers who get notifications whenever someone comments to this thread?

I understand that you are upset that someone has not updated a free app that they let you use, but don't take it out on Freighter/Master, nor everyone on this thread.

  • +2

I didn't lock in, but can confirm Freighter's python script is still able to log in, retrieve my details and get to confirmation of a manual lock.

You just need to update app version to "1.10.0" in settings.py

    • +1

Probably should update the app code part to 2044 as well.

    • It's working fine.
      you are a legend.

    • Legend! Thanks!

Also worth noting you now don't need to top up your account to lock-in!

      • Does this mean the account balance can be zero, therefore possible to create multiple accounts?

Thinking out loud here, not necessarily aimed at you :)

        • Yes because it also does not ask how many litres anymore either. It locks straight in.

    • +2

does this one still have the location 'stuff'?
My first attempt didnt seem to work with that

      • +13

Nope. If it's wanted or of interest I can add it in within a few days. Just got back from a weekend trip away, saw this needed updating and just chucked it up. I'm also half lazily testing to see if I need to update my Python script too.

        • +2

          Its a "good to have".

I'm happy to use an app to mock.

Either way, you have saved me hundred of dollars over the past year.

        • +1

          No worries
          Definitely a 'nice to have'

Though as below, currently this new one is detected GPS faking app for me also

        • +2

I'm a big fan of the location ability within the app. Was very handy. I'm also getting an error stating that mock locations has been detected

        • +2

Yeah Freighter the location thing is awesome if you can add that again.

Also that anonfile url went full spammy on me. The tinyupload one was fine.

@obit11: When someone else gets back to me with testing the (working hopefully) version, i'll upload that one instead.

@Freighter: Awesome. Yeah seems that app detects mock location as others have said for whatever reason.

        • And who released the Eleven Me app for notifications?

          • +1

@sween64: ElevenMe was made by KungBernard
            Currently in Penalty Box?
First released on 26th November, 2019
I've used ElevenMe, it feels like a quick app to push out some ads, for capitalising on Master131's work.

You can get the same notifications via email using a guide made by Master131

ProjectZeroThree's creator Master131 has created a step by step guide (very easy)

! This has been available since 18th of July, 2018 !

Sweeny64, you have been a 7/11 pilot almost since the start, surely you would have noticed Master131's email price alert instructions?

            • @cwongtech: I've been meaning to make a donation myself for a while now.

I just found Freighter's donation app - $5 sent his way - definitely saved that and then some and these days locking for 2-3 others at a time and they're very grateful given the direction fuel prices WERE trending.

I'd like to do the same for Master without the need for cresting a Patreon account, any options?

I'm probably like sweeny, I just haven't come across the email script in the year or so since I've been locking. Other than that, my emails get thrashed as it is so the ElevenMe app is a welcome interface.

I've voiced my view in other deal posts about KB's app and still stand by it.

    • Thanks, Freighter! Works perfectly for me. Locked in with your updated app with my S8+ using fake GPS location app..

    • The anonfile one works fine here Samsung Galaxy S9 Android 10 using Fake GPS so thanks again Freighter If the extension has .jar just remove/rename the file to .apk and it should work.
I noticed the file size of the tinyupload version is slightly different (different filename too) and mock location doesn't work on that version for me.
Just thought I'd let people know for those who prefer to use Fake GPS or other spoofing apps.
Also make sure you uninstall all old versions first, including any you may have installed in 'secure folder'

    • How's the response time!!? Nice work! 👍

I probably would have left the naggers stew a little longer to be honest. Haha

    • Yey!! Working again!! You are the best!!

    • Legend! THANKS!

  • -1

just downloaded the updated file not working on my note 10 and i cant get it to work on bluestacks :(

    • +9

And that's all the information you're going to give? C'mon mate, help the community a bit and tell us the problem(s).

      • what do you need? i have a samsung galaxy note 10 plus have tried both links and both say they know i am using a spoof gps. i also tried on bluestacks and same thing is that better? not being a smartass just asking for future reference

        • Well you didn't say what was happening. Saying it's "not working" could be a quite a few different reasons i.e. conflicting signing signature, fake GPS not working, root detection not working, force closing straight away.

Which Android version are you using?

          • @Freighter: i dont have root. i am on android 10 the previous apk that was modified worked. nothing force closes just says can detect spoofing

          • +1

@Freighter: actually, same for me using 'GPS Emulator' on android 9.1 (Huawei p20 pro)
            Detects mocked gps location

Have been using the previous 'location magic built in' version recently, but prior to that the same gps emulator android app worked without issue with the previous app release

          • +1

            @Freighter: Me too using Android 9. S8
            Mocklation use to work.

            • +1

@stalker878: I am getting same issue mock location error.

              • @prex: Is it when you are starting the app? Or when you click lock in fuel?

                • +1

@Freighter: When attempting to lock in for me (ie click the find fuel lock button)

                • +1

        • Worked perfectly fine for me with fake GPS location on my S8+

  • -1

Not working. Saying we have detected mock location.

    • -1

Not sure why you have been downvoted. The APK release by Freighter on 10/03/2020 at 5.40pm certainly led to the same issue for me.

While Freighter's release later that night may have resolved the issue, it's not obvious from his post or the comments generally that this issue has been addressed. I would think that the issue would be considered serious given that, if mock location is detected twice, the user account and associated mobile no. is blacklisted?

      • Surely the bold letters that say

        EDIT: Updated link here

Is sufficient in addressing that it has been addressed?

  • ProjectZeroThree is also not updating anymore :(

    Link 2 -> http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=71222558004618160309

Note: You'll need to uninstall your other APK(s) if you wish to use this one. Only install the APK file that should be called "7_eleven_2044.apk". Nothing else, no spam will come to you that way. Don't click anything on any of the popups. If you have a better long-lasting host, I can upload it to that if you guys prefer.

Okay, this one works. At least it has worked for 3 or 4 other people and the mock location is built into it again. You won't be able to use a mock location app if you use this APK but that's the way the cookie crumbled. You're free to make your own APKs if you don't like it :o)!

    Detailed usage:
Mock location - Click on 'Store Finder' and either search for your store, or click on a store and press the orange directions button. That's all that is needed. You can dismiss the navigation popup, I just didn't remove that functionality.

The multiple device IDs may come at a later stage, depending when I get time. This will get you all through it until then though!

Shameless plug: Want to throw me a buck or 2? Use my app. It obviously takes me a few hours to make something more 'advanced' like this, and I do it for fun and for you guys. Releasing stuff to the public is benefiting for the community and I'm sure I save you all a fair chunk of change a month with my releases.

      • Thanks freighter. Store finder hack working perfectly on s10e

    • Can confirm everything is working fine like before, Thanks @Freighter

    • Thanks @Freighter

Both APKs worked and I decided I'll try the built-in mock location this time :)

With 7/11 updating the app, would that meant he 11 seven site may need to be redone? :(

      • +1

Looks like we need Master131 to address the 11-seven / Projectzerothree site

    • Works perfectly on Note 10+ ,, Thank you sir

    • Thanks again for your hard work freighter, coming back from a holiday and already getting to work on this app!

For those who have samsung device and was not able to install the mod app, please ensure you uninstall the app within samsung secure folder if for some reason you have place the app within it.

  • Sorry Seems like a stupid question but I installed the new app in BlueStacks and can't open the app because BlueStacks is rooted, any idea?

    • Untick the rooted mode flag in Bluestacks settings

Thanks Freighter for the APK :)
Is anyone having the same issue where the APK is not installing on their phones?

I tried both mirrors but when I click 'Install', the progress bar is completed then says 'App not installed'.

I uninstalled old APK and restarted my phone but nothing :(

    • +2

Mine is installing, but every time I try and search for fuel prices, the app crashes. Tried on both mine and my wife’s phones.

      • Same issue here. On Samsung Note 10+, Android 10

      • +4

Mine is installing, but every time I try and search for fuel prices, the app crashes

That's because you didn't click the magic Orange button in Store Finder to ensure the target store has been set

        • +1

it crashes before the orange button shows…..

        • +1

          Hey cwongtech,

I've installed Freighter's APK from one comment up, but I don't get the location saved message that I see in your screenshot. I just keep getting my local servos when searching.

Any chance you could please help me out with this?

No other fake GPS is used, and I am doing this on my Galaxy S10 on Android 10.

Edit: Nevermind, reinstalled the APK and removed my mock location app from developer settings seems to have done the trick! Thank you!

          • +1

@IceCreamBandit: I have reinstalled and removed mock location but the orange button doesn't work. No location locked message like the screenshot.

          • +2

@IceCreamBandit: Thanks for the tip abt removing from developer setting. Worked Thanks

        • Thanks mate, that worked. Never had to do that previously, hence my confusion.

          • +5

@Mr Idiom: That's because Freighter's newer versions have built-in mock location function, thus negating the need to use an external fake GPS app :)

Freighter's first versions and all of Master131's versions just had the mock location detection code disabled

If Freighter has saved you bucketloads of money, make sure you chuck a couple dollars his way through his donation app!

His efforts and APKs are 100% original and does not piggyback off anyone else's work!

Also remember to thank Master131 for ProjectZeroThree, otherwise we would be flying blind!

            • @cwongtech: Already show my thank you by making a donation
Freighter's app and the eleven me app has already saved me over $20 since i join this community a month ago

                @littlesoldier:

the eleven me app has already saved me over $20 since i join this community a month ago

ElevenMe app is made by BernardKung.
It serves as a prettier interface for Master131's ProjectZeroThree site

But fundamentally, doesn't really add much value apart from saving you from copying and pasting coordinates (which you don't do anyway with Freighter's new modded APK that has the Mock Location functionality built into the Orange Directions Button in Store Finder)
                https://projectzerothree.info/prices.php

You can set up your own email alerts quite easily as well thanks to Master131 and not rely on a 3rd party app with ads
                https://projectzerothree.info/alerts.html

                • @cwongtech: Yea, i have tried setting up the email but seems getting the "TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of undefined" recently

                  Maybe I have missed something

Probably will need to setup again

    • Samsung S10. Android 10 btw :)

    • +1

@allan37825, did you sort this issue out? I am having the same issue, the new APK completes but says "App not installed". Any ideas? This is on an LG V40 running Android 9

    • I'm also having the same issue. 'App not installed'

running Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 pro.

      Any suggestions?

      • I figured out my issue.

For me, it was because my phone didn't uninstall the previous version, it sent it to a "recycle bin" of sorts.

Once I fully uninstalled the old version, the new version installed fine.

The magic orange button doesn't work for me, but Fake GPS still works, so I'm all good

        • Thanks. I still don't know why the app didn't install. But it managed to install and work in my 2nd space. (Xiaomi's can run 2 separate OS)

  • Thankyou Freighter, new version working ok on my Sammy S9+ on Android 9 (yet to update).

  • I can't seem to install the new version. It keeps saying can't open file/folder 7_eleven_2044.apk

[edit] ok managed to install it by downloading a new file explorer and using that instead of total commander.

I've got issue warning with this latest version.
When I press Find my best local price, the warning comes up

Tested both on the following phones:

Using Samsung s10+ hybrid sim Australia version. Android 10
Using oneplus 3T international version. Android 9

Using store finder is fine, it can go to the location according to mocklation app.

But when I pressed find my best local price then it detect the mock location error.

Already uninstalled and reinstalled both mocklation and 7 eleven v2044 but still the same issue.

Appreciate if there is a solution for s10+.

    Thank you

Thanks Freighter both with and without built in GPS work for me.

is anyone else getting a "location error: we couldnt find your current location. please try again later"
i have tried reinstalling 4 times and it still gets the error

    • -2

Yea I'm getting the same, I can't get it working.

  • I know how to edit new app version from Qpython setting.py but do not know how to do it from termux. Tried typing "Is" as suggested previously but returned bad command. Uninstalled and reinstall termux thinking the new version has been applied at source after reading github's pull request but it returned 'oops error'trying to lock in. I may have misunderstood the pulled request tho.

    • Sorry mate. I've approved a few pull requests now. Also, the command is "LS" in lowercase, not "is", as in "list".

      • Freighter thank you so much for your advise. Will try to much around again. Otherwise will take the easy way out. Keep well. Cheers

  • -2

Is anyone else not able to login? I can't login with either the normal or modded app with either mine or my wife's account. It's saying "We are unable to find your account please check that your email address and password are correct [Error code: Foxtrot]"

Edit: Changed password and all good now.

  • I have logged in via the new modded app, however the app is saying I don't have any funds, when I had over $70 in my account. Is anybody else having this issue?

    • did you sign in again? I did and can see it

  • +26

I'm aware that projectzerothree is not updating - won't have time to look at it until tomorrow after work. Use FuelWatch WA/FuelCheck NSW or other sources as an alternative.

EDIT - Never mind, turns out the fix is simple. Happy locking.

    • +4

Thank you so much for your work!

    • Thank you for all your hard work Master, we'd all be broke if it weren't for you!

  • -2

Anyone else's app closing saying error with the new modded app?

    • Lock the location with the magic orange button first before trying to find the best price.

      • I can't see the orange button

        • Same issue for me. App crashes and I can't see the magic orange button people are referring to. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 4 times.

        • +1

Tap the "Store Finder" button on the bottom left. I also was confused looking for the orange button on the Fuel Lock screen.

          • @tof: Do I need to select location there? Or just press and then go back to 'Locked'? Thanks so much!

            • +1

@vjoz: As @cttung mentioned, search a location, select a store, then press the orange button. After that, fuel lock will work.

        • +1

Go to Store Finder, search the location and select the store, then click on the orange color arrow for direction.

  • +4

Best to wait a bit longer for fuel if you need it as we should see prices closer to $1 with this barrel price.

  • +1

Freighter - you're modded app crashes at "find my best local price" unless the user has first pressed the orange navigate button since installation.

Other than that working well thanks.

  • Hmm, not sure if it's been covered but my hacked app is doing something strange. It's recognised the new version not requiring funds, however when I try to lock a price either from the lock screen or the store finder page (with mock location set in background), it searches the mock area, then defaults to the single closest LOCAL station. 🤔

Any ideas? Operating on a Note 10+ using the tiny upload link. I tried the anonfile link and it downloaded but wouldn't run after renaming/deleting the .jar extension in the file manager.

    Thanks in advance.

    • I'm using the apk from the anonfile link and it works as expected on my Note 10+. I don't have any GPS spoofing apps.

After I lock in the location with the magic orange button and go to lock in the best price, it looks like it's searching in your local area but it then returns the locked location price.

      • Hmm, strange. Mine is just operating like usual even without spoofing (expected) from the store finder tab.

Where did you go to drop the .jar extension on your Note? I just dropped the extension by renaming the file (in file manager) and it then wouldn't allow me to open the anonfile .apk as if it had now been corrupted by dropping the .jar.

        • +1

I didn't have to drop any jar file. I did it the noob way - uninstalled official app from Play Store, downloaded apk in Samsung Internet, allowed it to be installed, installed it. That's it.

          • @tof: Strange, the anonfile link for me downloads it with a ".apk.jar" extension.

I read elsewhere others have had to rename the file to get it to install. I've managed as much but once running either of the hacked apps, still no deal. 🤷‍♂️

          • @tof: Well looks like it's decided to start working and all without the background mock locations.

            shrugs Happy days.

Download this through Samsung internet as both chrome and google browser downloads it in a .Jar file

  • Maybe I'm doing it the difficult way, the orange dot isn't working for me and still shows my current location so I downloaded mocklation agian and works a dream

    • Go to Store Finder, search the location and select the store, then click on the orange color arrow (navigation/direction) to lock the location.

      • I get a pop up saying 'you will be redirected to Google maps note: you will leave this app)
Then Google maps tries to show me the direction to there

        • When you click on the navigation arrow icon, it pops up a message and you can select no as we don't need the map navigation.

          • @cttung: Mine says cancel or ok, if I click cancel then it still shows my current location

            • +6

@princess_nik_nak: If you used the latest posted one then it will work.

              -> Go to "Store Finder"
              -> select a store (let's say Bankstown)
-> click on the orange button
-> dismiss the option to navigate there with Google Maps
-> a toast message will pop up for only a few seconds confirming you've chosen a store
-> go to the Lock screen
              -> click find my fuel
-> it will show your location and then jump to wherever you chose.
              -> click lock in fuel

              • @Freighter: Thank you cwongtech for the link, I am now able to see the grey blurb at the bottom when I click the orange button but now when I press the orange button and the grey box comes up, I got to lock in my fuel and it brings me back to my current location not the saved location

            • @princess_nik_nak: I tested mine. When I selected the store and clicked the orange icon, it pops up the navigation message and at the same time there's a line of text saying "The location saved, you can continue to lock in." and disappeared in a few seconds.

  • Hmmm modded apk is whining about a new app version in app store all the sudden :(

  • Ok looks like I'm having a new issue as can't see that anyone else has mentioned it. I'm using the latest modded app, the updated one that uses the store finder to lock in the location but when I go to search for a store no matter what suburb I type it comes back with "no results found".

    • the updated one that uses the store finder to lock in the location but when I go to search for a store no matter what suburb I type it comes back with "no results found".

No internet connection, or location access permission not given to the app?

    • I noticed that the other day. I probably won't fix it because I have no need to use that function.

If you do fix it, you can happily release it for the rest of the people on here

      • -1

Well that's unfortunate. So how do you lock in the store you want if you have no need to use the search function.

If we were to attempt to fix it ourselves any idea what's causing it, as the phone definitely has internet and GPS access?

        • Could you not search for the store regardless? Like search for your local, press the direction button, then lock it in?

          • @obit11: Qld stores are typically 5-10 cents more expensive. Searching for the published cheapest store Australia wide is the entire reason for using the modded app.

The only way around the search function not working seems to be to manually drag the map around the country until you get to the store required then tap the orange button. So much harder to do when the screen is full of stores as it won't zoom but selects a store instead.

            • +1

@aml276: http://imgur.com/a/x98qSD5 I fail to see the problem?

              • +1

@obit11: Yes, on my android tablet that is exactly what it does. On my phone, which is what I would use most, when I search for a suburb I get the error "no results found"

Freighter is aware of the error/bug but it obviously doesn't affect enough users to justify development time to fix it.

  • Thanks Freighter. Termux is all good now after your approval to the update. Of course I took the easy way out. 😄😂
Deeevan thanks to you too for helping.🤜🤛

Currently having issues with new app, was working fine last night, was able to lock in fuel. Claimed it this morning and now when I try lock in fuel it returns back to the lock in fuel screen where it tells me to search for my local fuel. Just constantly looping, anyone?

    • Have you used the orange button to set a store before trying to lock?

      • Yep. As I said I had it working yesterday now I currently can’t get it to lock in as it keeps looping and returning me to the lock in screen.

    • Probably tried to lock in again too soon. I think you're only allow 1 lock every 24 hours.

Good price. Time to go for a drive/fly/teleport to fill up.

    • Got this in ElevenMe app
and U91 is also very cheap in the same station. 113.4c/L

    • -1

hmm, has this expired? closest I could get was Silkstone, 136.7c/L

      EDIT: nvm, wrong address lol

  • How to 'unlock' a fuel lock if a cheaper price pops up?

    • +6

Well.. with the new app you no longer need an account with credit.

Create a second email and lock?

    • I have heard some people say that the store cashier has some way of deleting it for you otherwise the only way is to wait for 7 days for it to expire.

      • Fill up with the minimum 2 litres. Scan, pay, lock in new amount.

  • I just downloaded the new apk and locked in but it didn't ask how many litres i want or ask me to add more money.
It displayed a barcode and tells me it expires in 7 days like normal though.

    • answers just literally a post above you

      • I did just see that so it isn't based on how many litres any more I didn't mind knowing what I would pay.

        • Thought I saw somewhere it automagically locks A maximum of 150L

          • @capslock janitor: Click on the question mark top right when viewing the lock in voucher.

            • @Skysurfer88: Yep 150L then pump price. Wasn't the max 80L before or close to it?

    • -6

Do you have a link for the new apk?

  • +3

    working well thanks freighter

  • +1

@Freighter I've encountered a problem with the latest 2044.apk file.

When I locate the store I want using the orange arrow button, it saves its location. But when I use the fuel lock function, it directs me to another store that is near the saved store, however. E.g. I wanted and saved Newtown in NSW, but got Paddington, saved Glen Waverley in VIC but got Clayton.

    Anyone else with this issue?

    • +4

You know the cheapest price is Newtown, QLD right?

      • +1

Yep, silly me realised that after I posted :P

    • +2

You're searching in the wrong state for the best price but I believe what happened to you is because there is no 7 Eleven in Newtown New South Wales.

  • Hey guys, downloaded and installed the new apk from anon link. Logged in tried to search store with 'Store Finder' and press navigation orange button. Doesn't seem to lock anything in or save the location, I dismissed the notification to go to Google Maps which I didnt think matters. Tried force closing and re-opening.

Is there something I am missing here?

Also removed previous app version prior to installing this version.

    Thanks,

    • +1

Do you get the message at the bottom when your press the Orange button that says 'Location Saved. You can now continue to lock in'?

If so, When you click on 'Find my Best Local Price' the map will show your current location (which made me think it wasn't working), but if you let it go through to the next screen where it finds the lowest price, you should find that it has the petrol station of the location you selected.

  • -4

Hi guys, downloaded the new version APP, and click store finder and press the organge nav button. Then try to lock a fuel price, the location error keeping pop up. Uninstalled and install a few times, these bugs still exists. Fellows, how to cope with it. Thanks in advance.

  • +8

Lost amongst all the app update comments (thanks so much freighter and master) is that we've reached 100 pages! I look forward to many more pages of comments like "how do I cancel a fuel lock?" and "can I lock interstate?"

    • +5

Hey guys I got an error but I won't say what please fix!!

      • Can I do on iPhone/iOS without jailbreak??

  • -1

I can't seem to get the app to lock to my searched location, I've searched up, say sydney for example, select the store, then press the orange button but the app doesn't select it as my store to lock the prices from and pops up with the window saying "you will be redirected to google maps", and when I go to lock in fuel it redirects me to my nearest store, it's the newest version, I've tried reinstalling it multiple times with no avail, any help?

      • -1

You are very patient with these questions. You should get $1 tip too..

      • +1

I have used the most updated one, as I stated in my comment

    • +1

Hey @chef Freeman i had the same issue until i got rid of 3rd party location app and switched off mock location in settings. Then do what you do above but don't have to go all the way to Google maps. Took me a few tries to work out I had disable mock location service on my settings to get it to work.

    • This is happening to me too, can anyone help?

      • +2

Which APK did you download? Use the correct one, be patient after you choose your store (it will jump after the 5 local ones are flash) and you'll be fine.

        • I downloaded the tiny one, is that correct?

  • +2

Hi team, I'm a newbie….be gentle. Finally have the modded app working after so many jumping a few hurdles. Thank you so much. Been looking after some accounts for some friends doing it tough and every bit helps.

  • -1

Thanks so much as always Freighter!

  • This new apk crashes when searching for nearby stores on my Galaxy s7. I have uninstalled fake gps and my 7 eleven apk prior to unstalling this new version. I have also turned off developer options and toggled my location service options in an attempt to get past the issue. Unsure what else to do to get this up and running again. Any thoughts? Cheers.
Edit: I have also installed from both links

            • @tabboo: Go to store finder - do you see any 7/11 stores around your location?

I've seen this with one instance of the APKs with a Xiaomi phone.. played well with certain APKs

    • $131.7

    • Ooops 🤦‍♂️😂😂

    • This is not a record low

    • Nothing to write home about.
      Not a bargain.

We should only allow posts on this in cases where 98 is being sold at 95/91 prices.
Or 95 sold at 91 prices.

      • When they posted it, i believe it was showing 113.9

I wonder with some of these to price drops if they're logging whose dropping by to lock in.

    • +1

      Diesel is good 126.3

      • Cheapest in a long time but not surprising considering the oil price

      • I was looking at petrol spy and it shows 99.9 @ Metro petrolium in Portland VIC

  • +3

Just a heads up that I drove past a Shell today and saw 159, so they prices are gonna start going back up soon

    • 7-11 sites in Sydney city went up 40c in the last few days too… but I think they are just trying to start a weekly cycle again.
The market won’t pay those rates at the moment - and they will all come down quickly again

      • Completely agree! The ACCC should be onto those petrol stations who jack up the price (but we all know they won't be) when the price of Oil has dropped significantly! A weekly cycle of jumping up 40-50c is criminal!

        • +2

Especially since last week the wholesale price dropped from $1.20 to $1.05 yet most servos only dropped like 5c Max. Disgusting really.

          • +1

            @Levathian: .. time to create 7 X 7/11 accounts per car..
One fuel lock every day keeps the prices at bay!

            • @cwongtech: especially with no longer requiring to keep a $ account toal
Going to have to look into working out how to do that

      • Most capital cities have a monthly cycle and the price rise is often 40c/L. It’s really not that unusual. The bottom of this cycle was lower than the previous and the bottom of the next cycle will likely be lower than this.

    • i was surprised to see a 7/11 in melb cbd, pricing at 150+ as well (today)

is a part of the normal price cycle because e10/91 prices are proportionate…

Is anyone else getting a message to update the app on android?

      • -2

some one needs to go to the school for their grammar.

      • He has been self isolating for the past 14 days……….

  • Did a fuel lock last night and a message popped up saying you no longer need to have money saved in your 7-Eleven app to lock in fuel? Anyone else get this? Using Freighter's latest app.

    • +1

Yes, that's part of the new update of the official app (which Freighter's app mirrors).

We all got and are all ecstatic with it too (I think).

  • -3

So after the new update unable to lock with Freighter's script. Anyone having same issue?

    • Have you updated to the latest version?

      • Am not talking about app. Phyton script freighter made to lock fuel.

        • Yeah I know, have you updated the script to the latest version? My changes to get it working again were merged about a week ago

You need the latest version of the script, old versions won't work anymore

  • -12

    Email from 7-Eleven below

Wonder what future changes are coming, hopefully not a crackdown…..

    Subject

Changes are coming to the 7-Eleven Fuel App

    Body

We have removed the 'top-up' function in the 7-Eleven fuel app.

You may have seen changes to the 7-Eleven Fuel App. You are no longer able to top up your 7-Eleven Card through the app and it is no longer a requirement to have funds on your 7-Eleven Card in order to create a Fuel Price Lock.

If you still have funds remaining on your 7-Eleven Card you’ll still be able to spend your remaining balance in store.

    • -4

      Have you been self isolating?

    • My local Costco is 126.7 for 98… Anything above that is a meh price and not worth posting.

  • -4

I have an iPhone running an old software and use the IFAKELOCATION method to lock in fuel.

7-11 is now saying to update that iPhone, I assume if I update the method will no longer work?

    • +1

Is the app old or is your version of iOS old? If it’s just the app then you can update the app and continue to use the same method of GPS spoofing.

      • -3

Unsure why I’m being down voted?

@sween64 - It’s running a really old version of IOS which is how I’ve been able to do it.

I wasn’t sure if updating the app would still work with this method.

Fortunately I have an android tablet so will use that.

        • 7-Eleven will force you to update the app. If the new version of the app has an iOS requirement above what your device is on the you won’t be able to use your iPhone any more.

    • +3

Check the thread. A new version of the app is posted shortly after each update is released.
It's been updated seriously 18 times. I'm surprised people aren't aware of what to do when there's an app update.

      • -2

It's easier to get someone else to find it, and be spoon fed, than doing it yourself.

      • -2

Which thread are you talking about???

Are there any other modifications that would be useful to the modded app I've released?

I think a few people would use the generate a device ID so when I find time (no isolation for the wicked!) I'll try and implement that again.

I've also thought about a button that resets the mock location so that you can lock in locally. But they were my only 2 ideas

    • +3

Hi Freighter, yes the generate a device ID is great for those who need to do multiple lock in from one device. It will be best if the app can take us to the cheapest location of the selected fuel type like the function of the auto lock in. I'm sure this is not an obstacle to you at all. Always thankful for your precious time making the app better.

    • +1

I've also thought about a button that resets the mock location so that you can lock in locally. But they were my only 2 ideas

Yep - this one is quite nice as clones of your latest gps-spoofing via orange button version mean I need to change the store finder 10 times every time :D

  • +3

Anyone else having the 7/11 app crashing when pushing "Find My Best Local Price"?. Have tried both with mocklocations on and off. Have tried clearing storage and cache. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

I am currently on Android 10. Latest app posted on 10th March.

    • +2

That's normal, you need to use the store finder and search for the suburb you want to lock in and then press orange button for directions and you will get a message popup saying that the location has been saved. After that you can press find my best local price and it will lock to the store you searched previously. No need to use mock location anymore.

      • Thank you! I was use to the old one.

Am i missing something obvious here, or does this phone need to be rooted in order for this to work ? (if so i can revert back to my old phone to lock in prices).

Thanks a lot for updating the app with fake location in it.
I am using Mate20pro and I successfully installed and locked fuel today with the app first for myself and then for my partner but when I log in again on my brothers account app takes me to fake location and show me the price but when I try to lock it just takes me back to home page.
Now I am not able to lock for myself too.
Can some one please put some light on this.

              • @Gomo: And then had their accounts banned…

                • @sween64: Spot on, their honey pot trap. 7/11 probably left it online for a 5 minutes and then gathered all the accounts that managed to lock it in and then cash it >100km away. That's why the older version of the app doesn't auto lock in a ridiculously low price.

                • @sween64: Yeah that too. But I think some people made new accounts for it so if 7/11 banned their acct they're not losing out on much.

      • -1

There was an analyst saying it could go negative as companies pay to get rid of it.

  • -4

Anyone scared to lock prices interstate due to travel restrictions?

    • Helicopters are still allowed, they are now considered personal aerial carrier.

    • Why not? I just scroll down. It's none of the attendants business where I got the price. And with the wholesale price being so low they're not making a loss either.

  • -1

Well its easy to look back at the data and say how did you lock in the price at WA but pump in VIC during travel restrictions…im not saying the attendant will question you, more likely 7-11 will check and ban accounts

    • Your decision.

If you don't feel comfortable, don't do it.

    • +1

It should go down further on Tuesday. It seems based on the last few weeks the weekly cycle has gone a bit out of whack, but most retailers are raising their prices from 6am Wednesday instead of 6am Tuesday like they have for the past few years.

Always some outliners with that but that seems to be the change.

    • Luckily they haven't banned helicopter travel.

    • +3

Fuel watch is such a good innovation. Is everything in WA simply better?, even your premier handling the whole covid situation.

    • -3

No deal, plenty around cheaper than this and cheaper again tomorrow.
On the plus side, I can now afford to drive my V8 to work.

      • It’s still a deal for Victorians. Prices haven’t dropped to that level here yet

        • -1

Not sure how it can be a deal to Vic's…how are you going to obtain it?
BP Redcliffe (which is quite literally a few hundred meters down the same road) is 100.9c. Shell, again on the same road, will be 99.9c/L tomorrow.

          • @whitelie: Then post them here! Better than bitching about it

            • +2

@cloud68: As many have posted before, Fuelwatch makes everything too easy in WA. Can see current prices and tomorrow's prices after 2:30PM. Servo's can only change their price in a 5 or 10 minute window at 6am in WA too so they don't vary throughout the day.
Look up wherever is close to you and make a decision. I'm not one to be spending $5 driving around to get it 2c cheaper.

          • +8

@whitelie: You new here or something?

            • @Wampus: Hahaha you both get an upvote for that. Brilliant stuff =D

            • +2

@Wampus: Must be! It all makes sense now I've read a bit more of the thread it was merged in to.
Didn't know you could lock in interstate prices, thought it had to be same state.
In which case, disregard my comments…but still no bargain for me.

    • -1

You could say driving to find cheaper fuel is a rookie move, requires too much effort, that's why I fly instead.

  • +6

Hope it's OK to post this but it appears on Fuel Watch that 7/11 at Middle Swan will have 91 for 88.9c/L tomorrow? Great opportunity for people in the East Coast to lock in :)

      • +1

      • +1

Neither lol! Been using like 5L max per week ATM..

  • +2

How bizarre. Petrolspy shows 7/11 southern river being 87.9c while the app shows it at the previous 93.9c from yesterday while the 95 and 98 prices have been updated.

    • +3

This has happened again today. Wa Fuel Watch reporting 87.9 c for U91 today and tomorrow but the app isn’t displacing this price again..

      • Been like that the last few days. A bit irritating but I can see why they do it.

On petrolspy you can see the actual servo price is lower than on the app.

  • -24

Fuel prices are so out of whack lately.
Almost like some servos try to get rid of old fuel.

This bring to my question: is it still safe to buy full tank of fuel if we're not driving much at all? Or better to just top up a little bit every now and then.

    • They're only buying it for like 85c/L… They're not being charitable lol.

It's because Russia and the Saudis got into a price war but now they've decided to cut back on production prices will probably rise a bit.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, most gasoline sold in the U.S. is “E10” gas made of 90 percent petroleum-based gas and 10 percent ethanol (ethyl alcohol). Ethanol-blended gas usually has a shelf life of up to three months because of the high speed at which ethanol oxidizes.

If you're not jailbroken you can use 3u tools on windows or iFakeLocation from our good mate Master131 on either windows or mac.

      Who are you exactly..?

Screenshots show no ads, which is good I suppose.

EDIT: Nevermind, there's ads in there, which is fine if it works

It does work (I used a dummy account to test), but unsure who the creator of this app is.

So a little suspicious who coded this.

Did you make a portable version using Freighter's python code?

      • Hahahaha……and is now in the penalty box.

  • I’m finding something funny

According to fuelwatch.wa.gov.au there is 91 fuel for just 87.9c in Butler WA.

However, when I try to lock this in, it changes the name to Banksia and the price is much higher. 95 and 98 are cheaper than the 91 as it shows Butler and the correct prices

Reckon this is a glitch with 7-11 or is there any way around it?

    • +3

No I've noticed that for a while. Middle Swan had fuel for 88c for 91 last week but the app only let you lock in for 95.9. I think they're manually changing prices so people can't lock it in, because both petrolspy and the fuelwatch site showed the real price.

  • I'm having a problem that no matter what fuel type I select, and what fake GPS location I have, it searches the 5 cheapest around my fake GPS location then takes me back to Qld Silkstone? Not even close to home in Brisbane.

        • +7

What's the bug? Was the last servo you set the location to Silkstone? If it was then that is where the app will search.
Everytime you want to lock in you have to update your location.

Is it a pain in the ass? Yep. Are my modifications free for the public? Yep. It would be exceptionally easy to update the code so it searches locally until you choose a store, I just have other projects I'm working on that are more exciting for me at the moment

          • @Freighter: sorry freighter - not a dig at your app mods, mock location is great and i've also donated using your donation app! i encourage others to download the app and donate to freighter too please!
i haven't filled up there and don't remember setting the store to silkstone at all, but if i did then it's definitely not clear how to remove/change that. thanks for the explanation

            • @leeroys_dad: Did you lock in around there recently? Out of the 5 closest stores only West Ipswich is just as cheap so it may be jumping because of that.

If someone can recommend a better way to upload my files where I don't need to constantly update my OP then I could update the app more often. Maybe a gist post with links?

              • -2

@Freighter: What about a static Dropbox or Google drive folder with each app version added?

    • +1

      Had the same issue.
      1. Clear the app data
      2. Login
      3. Use the store finder
      4. Click your request store
      5. Click on the orange navigate open
      6. Go the lock tab

Not sure if it's of interest to anyone, but i've build a project_zero_three component for home assistant for those with smart homes :)

I'll add notifications shortly as well, but currently you can see the price/location/name/etc.

Guys, i cant lock in a price anymore. It finds the cheapest price then when i go to lock it takes me back to the home screen.

    • +1

How many times have you locked in in the last 24 hrs? It's a limit of 2 per device.

      • Im using my other account i created. I have 3 accounts 1 already locked with a price the other two are free.

So after failed attempts my mate tried to lock in the price using one of my spare accounts and it worked on his app/phone.

        • +1

1 device can only lock twice in 24 hours. It's based on device. If you want to lock the price for your third account using the same device, you have to wait for another 24 hours.

This will go down further as WTI May future contract for crude is sitting at -U$37.

Good work, but as others suggested, stores will not allow to scan this one. Also, Need a logout button as well. I logged in from above account, now not allowing me to signup. Will clear the cookies now.

Just noticed 7-Eleven app on Nox is crashing when I try to lock a price. It has been working fine up till now. Anyone having this problem?

  • No app crashing here. Using iOS.

  • +1

My app on my Android device is also crashing.

  • Good time to lock in fuel. Fuel cycles at their lowest points and price of oil has started heading up.

    • TGP has come up. The ultra cheap fuel from Ryde last week was a good get.

  • +7

These app crashes, are they using my APK? If so, can someone send me a Catlog of the error(s)? Happy to assist by PM if needed.

  • I had a 98 RON price locked that would expires tonight. I filled up this afternoon. The attendance scanned the app twice but both times the voucher was "not found".

I got a paper receipt for the transaction but not sure if I should make a claim. The price locked was done interstate.

    • -6

I wouldn't to be honest - we save enough by doing this that I would just write this one off; no point poking the bear to look at your account if you don't need to :).

    • +8

I’d make a claim. If the voucher wasn’t yet to expire. Don’t be concerned about your account, they won’t look in to it. Even if they did, you can get a new account easily.

  • -3

Mine has stopped working. Can detect the price at the mock location, but when "lock fuel price" is tapped… it goes back to the "find my best local price" screen
Worked fine this morning. anyone else having this problem?
Have turned it off and on again… and reinstalled the app :)

Worked fine this morning. anyone else having this problem?

Locked more than twice in twenty-four hours.

Go grab a different android phone or just wait.

    90.9 for U95
    96.9 for U98

    Decent price?

    • Quite decent. Locked in.

    • -3

Yes, fuel prices would be rising soon.

  • Currently app would not lock price. Now can't sign in on either freighters or the official.

    • +5

I can't lock in either, assume to be a 7 Eleven issue.
Edit: Yes, now it says "System is down for maintenance."

      • I just locked no issues

  • -1

Did they change it so you don't lock a specific amount in anymore?

    • +4

Yep. Also no gift card credit required.

    • +2

New record. That's a great price for 98.

      • +16

I'm unable to install Freighters app even after granting permissions. Anyone else having trouble installing?

    • Allow installation from unknown sources..?
If it's a samsung phone there might be a security thing as well as a second step you need to "trust" the apk

      • I am using a motorola g7 power, I have allowed installation from unknown sources (sorry should have clarified, thats what I meant by granting permissions), but when I try to install the apk, it just tells me "App not installed" with no further options.

        • Can you try installing with ADB? It should tell you a better error message.

Another user I helped wrote this:

Which really puzzled me, because I definitely uninstalled it before hand…
Until I did a bit of googling, then remembered that I had a 2nd installed copy insure Samsung Secure Folder.

          Maybe there's a Motorola version?

  • +1

Nox method is broken for me, app crashes.

    cleared cache, uninstalled, updated etc

When I'm clicking lock it's not locking in and brings you back to the lock page. Anyone else experienced this?

    • -5

      Why the down vote?

      • +1

The same reason other people get down voted (I haven't voted). You seem to have made no effort to find the answer yourself. It was asked just a few comments back. Use your eyes and Ctrl+F. Not going to spoon feed you.

        • -12

Never had this lroblem before only today. No need to be a cock.

          • +4

@Pabs90: I'm not being a cock, I'm telling you why you're being negged so you (and others) learn. If I was being a cock I'd neg you myself, which I didn't. If you did do your own research first or since then, you should state the solutions you've exhausted based on your reading, which you didn't do. That's why others negged you. It's the reason most people get negged. Their neg is based on 'just because you haven't had the problem before today doesn't mean it's a new problem and you're annoying me and over a thousand other subscribers with a notification'.
