        • I mentioned it in LG G4 4G LTE LG-H815 Mobile Phone (32GB, 3GB RAM, Leather Black) for $551.20 @ eBay Kogan at 10pm 24 Aug.

I noticed the 2.5% rate change when I post a bargain and moderator JSQUARED updates the rate for me.
JSQUARED mentioned it as early as 5:14pm 24 Aug. You better asks JSQUARED if he know more on the details.

Andrew from Cashrewards here. The cashback rate increased to 2.5% at 5pm on Monday 24 Aug, so anyone that clicked through to eBay after then should receive 2.5%. If anyone has any issues let us know.

        • @ahc99:
Got in contact with customer support and it's been fixed up on my account now :) thanks!

        • @ahc99:

Hi Andrew, I have made 3 purchases on ebay via cash rewards and only 1 has showed up on my account. Realise it could take up to 7 days but your customer service is saying if it doesn't show after 7 days bad luck because they can't track it. Is this true?

      • My cashback email showed the full price before the 20% discount.
So I did get 2.5% of what I actually paid.

  • Can you purchase with another persons eBay account and then change the name in the delivery field and pickup myself?

  • -1

Totally pissed off with the Good Guys, code seemed to work, but when I paid with PayPal, the discount disappeared. They have refused to honour the discount, so EBay Dispute has been opened. I just got the product, will be returning to the bastards and never buy anything else from them

    • Have you already made three transactions with the same PayPal account? The same thing happened to me when I tried to use the code again.

    • Call eBay they might be able to refund the 20%

    • +1

did you check how much you were actually charged…

    • Are you able to click in to view the Paypal transaction details?
That shows a different amount for how much you paid and how much was covered by the discount.

      http://i.imgur.com/iaZPi3u.jpg

I think if the discount really wasn't applied, it shouldn't be The Good Guys that you're annoyed at but eBay.

    • Atleast you got your item, I paid, transaction appears on PayPal and eBay, but GoodGuys say there is no record and to just wait…

    • Code didn't for me either but for another store. I applied the code and it showed the discount but when I paid for it, there is no 20% off discount to be seen on eBay or my paypal account.

The items have been shipped to me and now I don't know if eBay is going to honour it…by the way it has nothing to do with TGG because it's eBay's promotion.

Have you actually bothered to look at the transaction details or are you just looking at the total amount! It's not that hard to figure out if you bothered to look at the transaction details instead of claiming that you didn't get the discount, the discount is shown from the moment you put the code in until you click on the final payment button so you have received the 20% discount.

The items have been shipped to me and now I don't know if eBay is going to honour it…by the way it has nothing to do with TGG because it's eBay's promotion.

        Check the transaction!

I've checked my bank account and it's taken the full amount. Don't type a bunch of crap.

I've checked my bank account and it's taken the full amount. Don't type a bunch of crap.

This is your problem, you were given multiple opportunities to check this before you committed to the sale. It's not ebays fault that you can't follow simple instructions nor check the funding.

        • @Maverick-au: What the hell are you on about???? I applied the code and it worked but somehow I was charged full amount. Where did I go wrong?

        • @bargainist: Did you checkout straight away or leave it a while? The cart stays but any coupons timeout after ~20min and need to be re-entered.

        • -2

          @bargainist:

What the hell are you on about???? I applied the code and it worked but somehow I was charged full amount. Where did I go wrong?

It's not rocket science, you put in the coupon and it applies the discount, you go through to Paypal it shows you the payment details and you click to confirm. You chose to purchase the item without the discount, how you did this I have no idea but it's a PEBCAK.

        • +1

@Maverick-au: ''You chose to purchase the item without the discount'' You seriously lack comprehension skills. By the way, eBay has informed me that there was an error on their part. Anymore smartass questions?

You seriously lack comprehension skills. >By the way, eBay has informed me that there was an error on their part. Anymore smartass questions?

There wasn't an error on their part, the funding is visible before you purchase on the PayPal website so either the discount was passed to PayPal or it wasn't and you didn't bother to check before confirming the order.

        • @Maverick-au: Wow you seriously do not understand do you? Keep trolling.

          @bargainist:

Wow you seriously do not understand do you? Keep trolling.

Ebay and PayPal are separate companies, how is this an eBay issue if you didn't apply the code on the eBay site correctly and didn't check on PayPal before you confirmed the sale?

        • @Maverick-au: Mate seriously I've said numerous times. I applied the code and it showed 20% off the final price. However when I checked my paypal and bank acc, I have been charged full price. It was due to the code not registering properly.

        • @bargainist: do you use an overseas registered paypal account?

    Ted's Camera is a joke…
Q: How to avoid losing any profits from online promotion?
A: Removing the vast majority of items from eBay's listing.
    Shame.

    • -1

Q: How to avoid losing any profits from online promotion?

Huh? So you're saying that Ted's Camera has protected their profit by not embracing the 20% off sale. Do you know what a double negative is?

      • No, I don't. I didn't learn grammar from my maths teacher XD
Anyway, I was just complaining. I was hoping to buy a Nikon Macro lens as cheap as the grey import T_T

    • +1

Now they listed a lot of overpriced filters and batteries instead. Good work Teds….

    • Yeah I bought $1600.00 in gift cards from TEDs only to be refunded 4 hours later… and by refund I mean paypal now have my $1600.00 and its not going to hit my account for another 3 days. Of course the 20% off sale will be finished. Oh the joy. TEDs said not our problem. They need a lesson in customer satisfaction. Grrr

      • Did you use the discount code?

      • I was actually going to buy only 2 giftcards yesterday as someone suggested before.. but lo and behold they removed it by the time I checked lol

Although it does say in the conditions for this promotion that giftcards are excluded so yeah it's not on Ted (for once)

Disappointed l could not get 20% off the ladder l was after from Masters. They claimed the ebay sale applies to clearance items online. poohey !!!

    • are you saying that the code didnt work for one particular ladder???

      • -2

not all items are listed online, (the ladder l was after also not online but available instore), so if it ain't online you cannot apply code. I asked at the store if they could apply the 20% discount but they said it was an Ebay promotion.

          Wasn't it?

        • +1

@Sober Thoughts: Why should eBay subsidise items that Masters sells in their retail store?

Wow, I cannot believe that someone had the nerve to go to a retail location and push them to offer a discount that is being offered by a THIRD PARTY!

It's people like you that screw up discounts, pricing errors and deals for everyone, you either ring up or visit the store to alert them or in this case you go into a retail location and request a discount offered by a separate unrelated company!

        • the nerve of some people…

    Thanks

be careful of dicksmith, i got the ps4 early morning of the last ebay 20% off deal; they held my money for a month after i got the email confirmation the ps4 has been shipped, followed by a refund without explination after 3 hours on the phone to them at seperate times. no apolagies. i still dont know what happened.
To make it worse, the refund took all my purchases down below the minimum amount for the 20% off, causing me to lose out on the other items i purchased at the same time.

Have you even bothered to look at the sales history for the product? Nope clearly not because if you had you would see that the price has fluctuated over the last few months between $549 and $595 (and probable more as this is only sales) and they have no more in stock.

      • The fluctuated price over the last few moths as you posted could have been related to the supplier adjusting prices based on the $Aus and their wholesale price or even a promotion they were having at the time.

The price went up by $15 in two days during this eBay sale. More than likely they would have been using stock that was in their warehouse already. They just wanted to make a few extra $$$ while the eBay sale was on like a lot of these sellers here are.

        • -2

The fluctuated price over the last few moths as you posted could have been related to the supplier adjusting prices based on the $Aus and their wholesale price or even a promotion they were having at the time.

Oh I see, so during ebay promotions there are no supplier price adjustment nor dollar variations?

The price went up by $15 in two days during this eBay sale. More than likely they would have been using stock that was in their warehouse already. They just wanted to make a few extra $$$ while the eBay sale was on like a lot of these sellers here are.

Utter rubbish, they sold seven at the lower price and it was only the last one that was sold at a higher price before they ran out of stock. Did it not occur to you that they would have raised the price at the start of the sale if that was their motive like you are claiming with ZERO to back it up.

The fact is that for nearly two days (three days if you count the VIP sale) this was sold at a low price and only for the last item did the pricing go up by a whole $15 and you make all sorts of false and misleading claims about the conduct of the seller. Good work! I sure hope you don't investigate anything for a living.

        • -2

          @Maverick-au:

They raised their price by $15 while the sale was on and they were caught doing so.

Supplier and $Aus dollar adjustments during the sale is a bogus excuse for raising the price. They could have forgotten to raise the price of the graphics card before the sale begun and then raised the price at the last minute.

Serious question do you work for Futu AKA Shopping Express? You seem very defensive.

        • -2

          @Saiya:

They raised their price by $15 while the sale was on and they were caught doing so.

Caught doing what? Normal business practice of changing prices? Did you miss the part where they lowered the price before the sale? Oh let me guess that is different and next you'll claim that the retailers don't know about these sales before they start.

Supplier and $Aus dollar adjustments during the sale is a bogus excuse for raising the price.

Using that ridiculous logic they can never change their prices! They sold all their stock so is not possible that they had to order new stock in before the last one was sold and the price had increased? Oh no, that's right according to you this doesn't happen during sales!

Serious question do you work for Futu AKA Shopping Express? You seem very defensive.

Your logic at work again, because someone defends a company against a stupid ridiculous claim they must work for that company. LOL.

        • @Maverick-au:

You seem to be taking this quite personally.

Bottom line is that they raised their prices during the sale and was caught. You can defend these guys all you want but it doesn't change what they did.

        • @Saiya: Are stores not allowed to change prices during a promotion, if their supplier changes prices?

You need to keep in mind that your allegations have zero evidence. None of us here knows the truth. They could very well be dodgy, but they might also be honest. They have, after all, changed their price several times.

  • Grays online refunded my TV purchase the day after, no explanation and can't get anyone on the 'help' line to help. Refund not hit CC yet. They told me they don't have a phone number for eBay sales and email is the only way to communicate period. Is this even legal?

EDIT: Now Gray's are saying its eBays decision to refund me, since i saved $150 off the TV no doubt it was convenient for them to do so.

is no. 12 of term and condition important?

only if you were wanting to buy Gift cards/certificates/vouchers with this offer.

and is that possible to use the $50 coupon as well?

In that case no. 13 of term and condition is important. It says "Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay coupon/voucher."

      • cheers I just saw it in the first page of comments :)

        • Just realised the numbering of the T&C in the post is different to that in the actual T&C page. Anyways you have your answer now.

  • So many votes and posts, most understandably unhappy about the stores' price increases effectively reducing/negating the 20% off discount and/or unavailable eBay product listings, that I have difficulty finding actual bargains and have been reduced to searching OzBargain for individual deals using the code. Thank you to all those members who have found and posted such deals. Is there a list of stores that do/have not increased prices for this sale? I think Target maybe. Anyway, it appears to have turned into a big multi-store case of false advertising.

    • as I can see through their sold history, most of the item is increased few days before or on the day of sale. Some like Kogan ebay prices are higher then its website + shipping, some increased but still cheaper then regular price. Be wise compare prices and buy item you actually need :)

      • it's just one big scammed pulled by ebay and the stores every year.

        • pretty much there is some bargain

  • no deals on note 4 :( dissapointed

Good Guys dropped the price on the Sammy 40" 4k TV. It's now ~$910 after applying the coupon, which is about $100 cheaper than what I paid for it 2 days back :| I'm happy with it's performance as a monitor so far, so for $910 I'd say it's a pretty legit deal!

  • Purchased a SanDisk Ultra 128GB MicroSD Card from one of the other OzBargain deals earlier this morning. I check though all the eBay sellers offering 20% off for the same momory card before purchasing and even after the 20% discount the other deal was cheaper.

  • Purchased a Kogan 30inch monitor, additional 5% off currently

  • Bought a Nutri Ninja 2-in-1 for $103. Was an impulsive purchase! Couldn't decide between the Ninja & the Nutribullet (600W) for $118. In the end went with the Ninja! Got a call from TGG - will be picking up on my way home!

    Any thoughts on the Ninja??

      waste of money.

You are now one of the infomercial fools.

Just use a blender, much more powerful.

      • +2

You should go back to selling soaps

        • you are a fool for drinking their koolaid.

those blades are smaller and less powerful than a blender.

        • @tyler.durden: you are fool to think you are Durden! You must be hallucinating

        • @dealkak:

          enjoy your dumb purchase…

          Blender does same thing,
is cheaper and will last much longer than these dumb items.

        • @tyler.durden:
Why not let the buyer enjoy their purchase without running them down? You can stick with your blender without spoiling another's fun, surely. I have a Ninja (1000w IQ, not the 2 in 1) and love it…way better than my blender.

        • @Hen:

Mind telling me how it is better..

It looks just like a glorified, expensive upside down small blender to me…

You can't put as much stuff in it like a blender….

And from what I seen on reviews, it looks like after a while there might be leakage when the blades become more loose

You could easily have bought a mini chopper which does the same thing..but only cost like $20.

Sure it has cup that supposedly allows you to drink from it as well..but I think is better to pour it in a cup to prevent the cup
from getting dirty from your mouth which is unhygienic for other users..

    • Do any of you use this?

      Is this any good?

  • None of those stores sell Sonos stuff do they? I searched and the Sonos Playbar basically can't be gotten under $1k anywhere anymore.

  • Really want a somewhat affordable double monitor set up..I only have 4 requirements.
    1. 23-24 inch
    2. VESA mounting
    3. Thin bezels
    4. IPS

Was looking at the 23" AOC from Kogan but looks like they marked it up…comes to about the same price as Kogan website.

    Anyone have suggestions?

  • My purchases from Futu(nuc and accessories) arrived today after only purchasing Tuesday night; great stuff!

  • just opened one of my rarely used ebay accounts and had a targeted 20% off (max saving $50) for any purchase.

    • I used mine to purchase a 60cm rangehood for $139 delivered.

I'll be using the 20% off to purchase a new stovetop and oven

    • Where did it show that? In messages?

      • In messages. the "My Ebay" drop-down menu near the top right corner had a notification at the bottom when you displayed.

  • Any comments on Dell Monitor UltraSharp U2412M?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dell-Monitor-UltraSharp-U2412…

    • There's 1 in the Dell Outlet for $248 (AS NEW with 1 year warranty)
      http://www1.ap.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/product…

      • Thanks, should I go for that or the U2415 now that that's at $263 but refurbished?

        Comparison http://www.techwarn.com/u2412m-vs-dell-u2415/

        • Personally I'd go for new over refurbished.
But if you need specific options like HDMI, then go for the U2415.

        • @1bug: New is always nice, but I've had good luck with refurbished Dells. I bought a refurb U2412M for $195 and it looked as-new and had about 70 hours use. Very happy with it.
