  • How is SlavOz in the Top 10 Commenters?
I thought he was banned or something, or just took a break….

He replies to a lot of comments, arguing back most of the time.

          SlavOz 380 -0.56

How the hell do you go that far into negative? As I see it, under 1.0 is already negative k:d. I mean I know the guy cops a lot of negs, but -0.56. Even JV, who gets negged as sport, doesn't even sink past 0.0

  • I like to thank Satoshi for giving me the strength to keep posting in the face of massive opposition and hate.

    • Sounds like a religion or a cult :\

      • -1

You should see the fiat cult.

        It's 10,000% bigger.

        • I didn't know they adored that Italian brand that much ; )
(best currency is a government-regulated but it is 1:1 backed by silver, imho)

            @Kangal:

            https://twitter.com/TradecoinJP/status/1262194451713339392
“We print money digitally. As a central bank, we have the ability to create money." - Jerome Powell

The Fed continues to print $USD
            https://t.co/rX6iWa7N9e

            People work, they print.

            • @rektrading: Yeah, the thing is fiat is the best solution for short-term management. Think such as wars or pandemics, it can cushion the blow and save people.

In the long-term, it fails because human-nature is not factored in. Even if you get the perfect human to manage it, it will still fail. Because eventually that person will change jobs, get sick, die, sacked, or replaced. And the replacements could be incompetent or act in bad faith.

A currency backed by a standard such as silver, won't have those limitations. It can still plummet as people do a "bank run". But that is a good thing. An asset backed currency that is crashing is a natural response (or correction) if that asset has been mismanaged. This has happened before, and it exposes the liars and cheats in the system. Fiat meanwhile protects, hides, and rewards those bad actors. For instance, the USA sold many of its Gold Reserves before the Great Depression, but the oligarchs (tycoons, rich, powerful, duoshebags, etc) were reporting their reserves as full, this caused a false-economy for its citizens and the world, and when this falsehood came against reality, that is when the crash happened. History blames the stock-brokers, but they were the symptom and not the disease, they also blamed other things, mainly the asset itself. They never took accountability. Many European states turned to fiat out of necessity, and later the US followed but it was "always meant" to be a temporary change. In the most practical sense, the USD holds value from America's Military Might, and their International Control of the Energy Exchange (petro-dollar).

A system which doesn't have a feedback-loop is destined to eventual failure. For currency, it should mean that people who mismanage their funds, should be publicly shamed and their freedoms taken away, and potentially have their families become impoverished/asset confiscation. And the people who manage it well, should be praised and rewarded. However, the people cannot do such actions if they do not have the law established as such, and if there's no transparency on the manipulation. In other words, we the bottom 80% of the world's population are screwed.

    • Isn't the opposition declining.
ur ratio is better despite all the negs i've been secretly giving you.
wait for the may stats. muhahahaha
